Do you consider Kingdom Hearts a happy series?

I'm asking which Kingdom Hearts game is the happiest since i heard that 358/2 Days and Birth by Sleep were too sad and i already talked about the endings. Since i'm on the Sora side, I always find it happy. When i was little, My first KH game was KH1 when i first played the game at my Grandma's on her PS2. Also which song of Kingdom Hearts is the happiest since i'm excluding Simple and Clean (Slow version). I think i will choose KH1 for character wise, KH2 for combat, gameplay and storywise and ending wise. What is your opinion?

Seems like you're asking a lot of questions at once, but I'll try to answer as best I can.

Is KH a happy series? I'm figuring that the series will inevitably have a happy ending, with the bad guys all getting their comeuppance and the heroes sailing off into the sunset, but throughout the story, the games have their shares of bittersweet moments (the most striking to me because I've only played the first three games in the series being the ending of KH I). It's not a super cheerful premise for a series, either, with worlds being destroyed and missing friends. I suppose your mileage may vary on whether the games are overall happy or not. There's enough humor and goofiness (no pun intended) to keep the games from being dark.

Which game is the happiest? Out of those I've played, probably Kingdom Hearts II. The heroes find who they were looking for and they end up safe back home ready for another adventure.

Which song is the happiest? I can't say that I would describe any of the songs as "happy".

I'm guessing your last comment is referring to which game is the best, as I don't know how gameplay or combat could be "happy". I would say KH I is better at most everything. However, I did start a new game while I was without internet access for a while back at the end of July, and I was very quickly reminded about how awful the camera was in the first game (so much worse than I even remembered it being). KH II vastly improved that, and some other gameplay-related things. I greatly preferred the story and the characters in the first game, though, and those aspects are more important to me than gameplay.
