Today is our last day and these are the stories of 5 friends.​

This is a simple one-shot RP. Based in New Orleans, Louisiana. It isn't intended to be long, literally a day, so it'll be different than other RPs. You should also RP in a Gothic style. It isn't supposed to be uplifting or happy. All our characters die at the end, if that's not obvious. How we die (interestingly), you don't know, until I reveal it, basically it could be during any time throughout the RP. Everyones' (characters) is unaware that this is their last day, but some people may have bad feelings about today or feel that they should live this day to the fullest. Also, we should collab bios since these are all friends. So how about it? Ya'll ready to live this last day with me!

Name: Rolan ( Roe, for short )

Age: 20

Bio: Rolan has had a shitty life with horrible living conditions, an abusive father, and a whore of a mother are just some of the highlights in his past life. Once reaching 18, Roe left home and hasn't been back. Lacking a high school degree doesn't help pay the big bucks but he's doing decent work at the docks. Currently, he's staying in an apartment with ____. Often, Rolan visits EA (Emotions Anonymous) Meetings to help others overcome some things that he himself has been through and it's a good outlet for his own difficulties.

Personality: Roe's personality is ironically optimistic, given his background. He's always wanting more, and seeking more. He loves to ask the big questions about life and what we are meant to be and what we are meant to do. His outlook is not cheery but hopeful. When it comes to these conversations, it's very heavy, more so than his normal demeanor.

The same way people write in a Gothic style. There's plenty of sources to pull references from: TV Dramas such as Gotham, Sleepy Hollow, American Horror Story, Bates motel, The Walking Dead. There's books like classic Dracula, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Frankenstein. Simply incorporate characteristics of gothism.

 

There's no template. Whatever you think is relevant is fine.
