"Oh no worries, if they hurt her, I'm gonna go buckwild on their asses! And after what I did to that guy down there, I'd hope they'd know better than to fuck with us!" Rising from Jordan's shadow, the silver haired fighter smirked wildly at Kousei and laughed loudly as Kate was called out on her hidden weapons. "Stay sharp in there Baby Blue, and whatever you do, don't drop the soap."

With a final howl of laughter, Deimos sank back into Jordan's shadow, disappearing from sight.

Kate's face winced in pain as the cuffs wrapped around her wrists, made from light. "Ahh, what the hell is this shit? This is REAL light? It hurts like a mother fu-"

    "...Stopja."

Kate's body froze in place, not able to move her entire body, besides her eyes which dashed from side to side wildly. Unable to move a muscle, her eyes glared at Raven, the individual responsible for the spell.

Jordan flinched a bit, wanting to attack Raven for the, albeit necessary, restrictions on Kate but knew that the best thing to do was nothing. Jordan ignored Deimos' speech, shaking his head disappointingly, before looking up at the group. "I apologize for my friends. They're both a bit....well they both speak their minds more often than not." Slowly rising to his feet, now having the strength to support himself, Jordan rubbed the back of his head a bit, smiling as he did so. He wasn't sure who exactly was in charge here, the princess or her knight, so decided to face the one who had been seemingly in charge for the past several minutes. He took a few steps forward, stopping in front of the body of the boy from earlier and looked at the trio of individuals. "Oh, I don't think I introduced myself," he said, a surprised look on his face. He gave a smug smile, leaning in a bit as he pointed at his own face, saying, "I'm Jordan. King of the Darkness and Eater of Hearts."

The last line struck Sophia as both disturbing and odd. The only king of darkness she was aware of was her grandfather, the supreme ruler of darkness. She imagined that this individual was most likely speaking irrationally so didn't dwell on it further. However, the title Eater of Hearts did, however, stick.

"Now, while I'd love to thank you all for letting me on my merry way, I simply...can't. For several reasons, the first being that you have my friend here in your custody, so straying too far wouldn't be in my best interest. Secondly, you said it yourself, I'm in no condition to do much, so you all could be sending me to my deathbed. And lastly....well...I don't know where I am." He shrugged, and shook his head. "In all honesty, I figured that little spiel back there of who I was would jog someone's memory of me. But if not...I must be a longer way from home than I thought." Jordan looked away for a moment, hand resting on his chin. How far from home was he? Clearly he was no longer in the Void, that much was for certain. However, he could not exactly pinpoint where in the realm of light he was, if he was actually in the realm of light.

Sophia, being the caring yet clueless person she was, said to Raven in what she thought was a whisper, "He does seem a bit out of it...maybe he can stay in the castle?"

Jordan raised an eyebrow at the conversation being held between Raven and Sophia and turned back with a smirk. "That right there sounds like an awesome idea."

    -Earlier In the Morning-

    CLANG!

    DING!

    SHIIIIIING-SHINGSHINGSHINGSHING!

The jarring clattering of metal landing upon stone pierced through the compressed bed chamber as Lieutenant Kelianne Mairin stripped herself down to her jerkin. The metallic plates’ ruckus, deafening as it was to the freshly awoken tenants of the barracks yelling at her from the corridor, reached ears already desensitized to their dissonant symphony when they contacted her. Everything from the screeching and scrapping to the yelling from outside was audibly muffled by the sensations of fatigue. What wonders a sleepless week can do to for a person, she droned on her mind, thoughts reverberating as though they were uttered in the confines of a dream.

With a groggy, limped step reminiscent of the undead of Halloween Town, she heaved her way across the room towards the single cot that lay enchantingly at the opposite end. Though the room was only a mere twelve feet across, the seeming weight of her body portrayed the venture as a trek over mountaintops. She pulled each step upward with great effort, and slammed it in a dead, percussive stomp on the floor as strength failed her on the descent. When she, at long last, arrived at her sanctum of fleece softness, she dropped face-first into the all too friendly pillow.

She drifted in a downward spiral. She freefell not into a state of deep slumber, but into one of thought.

Some fleeted through, layered in the shallower recesses of her mind. Each one spewed in mumbles from her mouth: “2nd Lieutenant Rowan needs to tighten his flank.. Sergeant Crow’s squad still hasn’t gotten the provisions they need. Moran, why haven’t you sent them out… Why aren’t the archers at the batteries yet?”

Others cut deeper into her train of thought, and had no words to be spoken for with. The memories of the days past had set the 1st Lieutenant up on a high string; high enough, in fact, that Captain Garrick had actually ordered her to leave the ramparts to another officer. I apologize for taking my job too seriously, SIR. No… no. He’s right. I’m just… thinking out of frustration.

Slowly, as the morning sunlight cracked through the space between the door and the floor, Kelianne Mairin felt her eyes cave in to the weight of their lids…

    -Not Too Much Later-

An abrupt surge cut its way through the Knight’s sleep. Just as suddenly, Kelianne awoke, flipped onto her back and bolted up right. “What was that??” Uncertainty flooded into her head as she peered out the small window of her room; she had only been asleep for an hour, maybe less. Yet, somehow, she now felt wide awake and vigilant. “That power spike… something’s wrong. The castle guard will need help… and the princess… no, I can’t, I promised her I’d stay…”

She shook her head violently, kicking her blonde locks about as the string holding her hair in its bun went flying off towards the door. Only still regaining composure, she rolled herself out of bed and searched the floor like a blind man desperately seeking a lost cane. After a second, her right hand discovered the hilt of her sword; a second later, her left hand, likewise, found the handle to her trusted shield. She lift both items from the ground, tucking both into their respective holding places: the sword into the sheath at her waist and the shield upon her back.

She bolted from her bedside towards the door, stopping just before opening it. She stared down at the messy clutter of armor by her feet.

    “Armor?”

    No. No time for it.

    “That’s settled.”

She threw the door open and pounded it shut and sprinted at as rapid a pace as she could from the inner keep.

In moments she was upon the high wall of the outer ward, overlooking the forest, from where the screams of dying men and several sizeable explosions could be heard, probably all over the Realm of Twilight. Deimos, she told herself, feeling more than confident in her deduction of the explosion’s engineer. “Can he do anything quietly?”

“Can you do anything without ignoring break time?”

“Captain Garrick!” Kelianne immediately popped her posture to attention, then realizing that she was standing amid a crowd of glaring eyes. “I apologize for my insubordination to your orders. I just felt a—“

“At ease Lieutenant,” the Captain ordered. “No need to apologize. Most of the Knights I sent in rushed out here.”

Keli allowed her body to loosen at Garrick’s order. “But… what’s happening?”

“No clue,” the Captain said. “We sent a team of guards to the forest to find out; none of them have reported back as of yet. We’re not entirely sure what to make of it. But then… listen closely.” Garrick fell silent for half a minute. “The noise has stopped. I think, whatever it was, it’s over now.”

“It does sound like it… but.” For the sake of safety, Keli drew her shield back to her arm, and gripped her hand upon the hilt of her sword.

“All there is to do is just… wait,” the Captain said.

“Yes. Wait,” Kelianne repeated. “Any minute now.” Any minute, she would see something arrive from the forest.

"Sophia, your kindness is truly something you should never lose. But there are times you need to consider discretion." Raven thought with Sophia's comment of having Jordan come to the castle.

"Unfortunately, Eater of Hearts, it does not sound like an awesome idea. It may have been in self defense, but your group did kill several guards and your shadow severely injured another." Raven motioned her hand towards Deimos, green clovers suddenly spinning above him before vanishing just as quickly. Given the fact that they were still standing out in this forest, Raven figured that a cure spell would at the very least keep Deimos alive long enough for him to finally be brought to the infirmary. "Given your title, I can't say my thoughts towards the fallen are even remotely positive. So personally, whether you die or not working towards your goal has no influence on me."

"That being said, if you stay true to your word and Sophia truly wishes for you to come to the castle, I will permit it. But if you go against your word I will not hesitate to kill you. Assuming there is nothing left to be said, it is time to get back. Or Deimos may actually die. Kousei, will you please help carry his body back to the castle? And please be careful to not make the wounds any worse."

With the conversation hopefully done Raven picked up the sniper rifle and the sword that Kate had dropped. Using a magnet spell, Raven positioned the weapons to appear as though they had a strap to secure themselves to Raven. She also removed the pistols from their holsters on Kate's thighs and attached them to the bundle of weapons.

"The workload certainly will increase due to these strangers. Perhaps I should get somebody else to assist me with them. Kelianne is on leave right now, I think. Maybe she'll do it. Something to consider."

Jordan gave a grateful smile to the group before looking to Sophia for her approval. "So, does that mean that I will have a place to sleep tonight, Princess?"

Sophia looked away for a moment, considering the question. While he did come off as having good intentions, he had critically wounded her best friend. She regretted her decision and had begun to tell Jordan off, not allowing him to stay before her mother's words flashed in her mind.

"No matter the actions and history of individuals, we must find it in our hearts to grant everyone a second chance in life. Second chances are rare, and everyone equally deserves them."

Sophia sighed before looking up at Jordan with a nervous smile. "Yes...you are more than welcomed to spend the night."

Jordan nodded in appreciation and replied, "Why thank you, Princess. I promise not to cause any trouble while staying in your home." He gestured to the man on the ground, looking at Raven and asked, "Now, about your friend. Will you need help in carrying him?" He motioned forward to pick up the fallen Deimos.

Sophia watched and began to fold her hands, as though praying, and began to contact her royal guard, Kelianne, through a mental, telepathic connection..

    "Keli...are you busy?"

Kousei didnt say much as he stood firmly in front of Sophia. He took note of how cocky jordan was and simply smirked. There was a lot people did not know about kousei, his powers involved. He came from a long line of warriors and was in peak condition. a complete Prodigy of his line. Watching as kate unloaded all her weapons he knew something else was up, when she removed her sniper this only confirmed his thoughts.

    " Heh...thought so"

Just as quickly a snarky voice echoed from behind jordan. Kousei shot a dark glare back at the man only to roll his eyes directly afterwards. " For people in a unknown realm, talking to an unknown force you sure are arrogant."

Kousei, will you please help carry his body back to the castle? And please be careful to not make the wounds any worse."

" Yea yea i got it"

He kneeled over to the heavily injuired Deimos and shook his head " All it took was one blow to take you out? " With a heavy grunt Kousei lifted him from the ground and tossed him over his back. " Lay off the pudding won't ya buddy?" A small joke at the weight of Sophia's guardian.

While lifting the almost lifeless body Kousei heard words that caused him to turn in anger.

"Yes...you are more than welcomed to spend the night."

" Sophie are you kidding me? We can't let this...this. this guy stay in the castle, i don't care whata kind of forgiveness or whatever we're supposed to do, he's a unknown and putting your life and others at risk, i mean look at what i'm carrying and they did this without a second thought, and judging from the level of smart ass looks iv'e been receiving im not inclined that they won't do the same with others. "

Kousei shifted Deimos onto his shoulder and pointed a finger at jordan. " Listen to me, and listen carefully...Raven is the more...political one out of this group, and i'm inclined to support Sophia in whatever choice she will make but mark my words, they aren't the ones you need fear, i'm the one you should be most worried about and if i even think that you harbor any ill will towards a single being in the palace. So help me......you call yourself the king of darkness....you'll be wishing for lights embrace once i take you..."

After saying so, Kousei turned his back and walked away heading towards the exit of the forest."

    ---

Aye! whatever just happened works for us"

Ya ya man, it'll all be good in time. have you seen the bounty on this boy's head, we'll be millionaeres after this one

" Let's just play this right"

Two men stood in a empty alleyway behind the castle waiting for there opportunity....

Kelianne stood upon the castle wall like a stone sentinel, gaze transfixed upon the edge of the forest. The placidity in the air around her swayed her more than any gale had or could have; the silence seemed to irritate her ears beyond even the harshest of sounds. And all around her, she could sense that the other Knights and Squires on her side of the castle were feeling the exact same apprehension and anticipation. What had happened in the forest? What had become of those there? Who had actually been involved? These and more flew about Keli's mind, the internal monologue the only thing close to easing the quiet air about the castle.

"Alright! That's enough gawking for one day!"

Jumping back at the Captain's thundering voice, Keli snapped, almost immediately, out her trance. Down in the keep and along the wall other soldiers, all of whom had heard the roar of the officer, were roused to conversation, scattering about; it was no mystery that the entire company was confounded, if not by the events that had just transpired, but also be the Captain's orders to stand down. Kelianne shared this much of her comrades' sentiments.

Absent of a second thought, she turned to Garrick, throwing him a stern scowl. "Why are we standing down at a time like this, sir?" she asked, struggling to avoid an insubordinate tone.

"Because," said Garrick, returning her scowl with a more impressive one of his own. "Because staring blankly out at the woods isn't going to make us any more ready for whatever's out there. We're better off being at our stations. Do you understand that Lieutenant?"

"Yes SIR!" Kelianne's demeanor shifted at once. She snapped to attention and saluted her commander proudly before turning to the soldiers down in the keep. "You heard the man!" she shouted. "HUP TWO! Back to stations. And Three Squad, man the gate; be ready to admit any and every friendly party back into the castle." As though the whip of Keli's words were the last and greatest lashing the soldiers could take, they bolted off to their positions. Keli descended from the wall, joining the scramble as she barked out directives.

    "Keli...are you busy?"

There was no mistaking the sound of Princess Sophia's voice ringing in her head. Kelianne halted at once, falling so silent that many of the soldiers around her stopped moving themselves and stared at her as though she had just become something foul. With some courtly dignity, she waved them off, bidding they return to what they were doing, shrugging off those who offered their concern and assistance.

M'Lady... this is... a most rare occasion. I apologize, but I am bound by my present duties at this moment; the commotion in the forest has left the keep in a fluster. Find me when you return, if you must.

The group walked back towards the castle. Kousei was at the head, carrying Deimos. Behind him was Jordan and behind Jordan was Kate's body, floating along due to Raven's magic. At the back of the group was Raven herself, with Sophia right beside her. Being Sophia's guard, it was natural that Raven would have Sophia next to her. Raven was at the back of the group in order to keep an eye on everybody else. On the off chance Jordan would do something, Raven was prepared to act instantly. Giving him the benefit of the doubt though, Jordan was not the only one Raven was being watchful of. Given that Sophia was with her, Raven was prepared for any sort of ambush to occur on the way back. Given the events so far and the fact that Jordan appeared to not know where he was, the possibility of some other group attacking them was something to keep in mind.

Soon the gate to the castle came into view.

Jordan held his neck a bit, feigning the look of shock as Kousei called him out. "Geez man, no need to get all worked up over little 'ol me," he said, a smile crossing his face. He shrugged and began walking, brushing Kousei off a bit in the process. "Besides, as long as this palace of yours isn't harboring the son of a bitch I'm looking for, I got no reason to hurt anyone."

    "Unlessssss we need to feeeeed."

Jordan stopped walking for a bit, rolling his neck in an agitated way before clearing his throat. He looked back at the group, as if waiting for someone to acknowledge the voice or to admit that they said it. But he knew better. It had been some time since the voices spoke to Jordan, begging to be fed, as he maintained a decent enough schedule when it came to eating. To hear them speak to him now was nothing more than a light annoyance that Jordan could work with ignoring, so he continued walking.

Sophia, still conversing with Kelianne, nodded her head and replied back to her, "Oh, of course. I'm sorry to bother you. I will talk to you soon then."

She looked up at Kousei with a nervous look, not knowing exactly how to explain for her actions, as baffling as she knew they were. "Well...I just...we have to give him a chance...don't we? We do have his friend after all..." She began to walk next to Raven, a bit embarrassed of her excuse to Kousei for her foolish decision.

He continued walking, often looking around, taking in the sights, although it was nothing but trees for now, like a small child. He gazed up at the sun with a smirk and held his arms out as he walked. "Damn, that sun is beaming! I haven't seen a sun this radiant in years!"

Sophia watched Jordan at his behavior, as it slowly was changing from the noble and educated speaking man that they had met with a slightly more immature behaved one. "Do you not have a sun where you are from," she asked curiously.

Jordan finally took his eyes off of the sky to look over his shoulder and reply, "Sorta. It's always behind dark clouds and the only time you get any real illumination is when the moon is out, as odd as that sounds. Our night is basically your day, and vice versa," he explained. As the castle gates began to come into view, Jordan slowed his pace a bit, taking time to admire the large gates. "Hm! Very fine indeed! Sturdy, obviously, and it looks like it's protected by...some sort of magic?" He looked back as if waiting for a response before waving his hands in disapproval. "Gah, of course you guys wouldn't tell me that. My bad."

Sophia smiled at his behavior and looked to Raven and said, out of the reach of Jordan's ears, "He doesn't seem too terrible."

Popping out of Jordan's shadow and throwing an arm around his friend's shoulder, Deimos laughed and looked around. "What a great castle... It reminds me of home... of Virgil. How long has it been Jordan, since we died, I mean? I wonder how ol' pinky is doing, and the apprentices... I miss the world of the living hahaha..."

Sighing loudly, Deimos shook his head and punched himself a few times. "Whatever, I'm more powerful than I ever was back then! I have no right to reminisce." He turned to Sophia and shook his head, "I apologize for what I did to your friend, my name is Deimos Lancaster, and I am Jordan's Magical Guardian. Consider that extra info as payment for what I did."

Kousei practically ignored all the conversations going on behind him. Now he had to be more watchful than ever over Sophia which for a person as lazy as Kousei would prove to be quite the chore. The bright sun spiked through the trees leaving radiant beams across the forest ground. lighting the way almost like a path to guidance. After what seemed like an eternity the palace came into view. " About dam time, ugh.. im getting tired of carrying pudding boy on my shoulders. "

Kousei was the first to arrive and was greeted by soldiers and what seemed like a small malitia apparently waiting for whatever was to come out of the forest. " Yea yea whatever blah blah" Kousei just trudged past them without giving them a chance to ask any questions. He made his way down the halls until he came to the infirmary. There was a woman about middle age with a very attractive body, she wore a long white jacket with thigh high stocking sand a business attire suit and skirt. "

Oh My darling boy what happend!"
She said alarmed as Kousei came into the large room. " Battle damage the guy is on his last leg here so work your magic" Kousei layed Deimos down onto the bed gently and let out a sigh of relief. " Well that's a load off my shoulders" He took a seat accros the room and waited.

" The doctor began to go to work on him, reaching both her hands over his body a large green petal floated over him and a pulsating wave of green energy waved over his body. " While i'm doing this, mind if i ask a question?"

    "Sure Miss P what's up?"

"Kousei darling i told you, you can call me Penelope" She said in a almost Seductive voice.''

" Ah well if that's what you want. "

" Did you find those people..yet?"

Kousei just looked away slowly and clinched his fist.." No...not yet but i have a few leads and if i have the right idea i know where to find them.."

Based on Sophia's comment Raven almost questioned what went through Sophia's head. While it is true that Jordan tried to come to a peaceful resolution with the situation earlier, he also killed some of the castle guards. Even if it was unintentional, it would've made more sense for Jordan to avoid harming the guards as much as possible. As such, Raven simply let out a small chuckle at Sophia's comment. "Looks can be deceiving Sophia. Remember that he calls himself 'Eater of Hearts.' Even if you feel the need to give every person a second chance, you must always be vigilant around people such as him."

"Extra info as payment?" Raven questioned as Deimos spoke to Sophia. "What an odd sense of value you hold. Almost as odd as the name."

"Oh, of course. I'm sorry to bother you. I will talk to you soon then."

Kelianne nodded her head absentmindedly; telepathic communications always seemed to leave her in a strange state. Snapping back into the there-and-then, she realized that she was standing amid the droves of confused guards, all looking to her for further orders. "Oh," she sighed as she peered around at the befuddled faces of her comrades. She wiped an embarrassing trickle of saliva from his cheeks and hardened her face as her eyes made another pass over the ranks of knights. "Well?" she asked. "What are you all looking at?! You have your orders. Get to it! Back to your stations, nothing to see here!"

Following a split second's of shock-induced suspension, the guards went back about their business, resuming normal defensive positions. "Hate it when she does that," Kelianne muttered to herself. The knight shook her head and raised her posture. "2nd Lieutenant!" she hollered to an official-looking man, pulling him to a halt by the arm.

    "Yes Ma'am?" the man asked.

"You take charge here under Captain Garrick."

"And you, Ma'am?" the 2nd Lieutenant inquired.

"I need to go to the main gate."

"Actually," Garrick's voice cut into the conversation from behind.

"Sir?" Kelianne leaped to attention, spinning around in midair to meet her Captain face-to-face.

"You're not going anywhere other than back to your quarters."

    "Sir?"

"You're not rested enough to be doing much of anything. I am ordering you BACK to your dismissal now."

    "But Princess Sophia..."

"...Will be able to find you on her own if she desires to speak with you. Return to your quarters. That's an order."

"Yes... Sir." Kelianne choked out the last words, saluted, and turned about, returning to the castle. The minutes taken to reach her room seemed like hours in passing; the morning sun gave way to the full brightness of daylight. By the time she reached her quarters, it was bathed in the light of day through the single window overlooking the rear battlements of the keep. She slammed her door shut, prompting another wave of disgruntled yelling from the few soldiers awoken by it.

She gave a moment's consideration, and set about gathering the pieces of armor and weaponry she had so callously discarded earlier. Each item was stacked neatly into her equipment rack along with her sword and shield. The pathway to her now unmade bed cleared, she strode across the room, kicked her boots off and flopped down upon the mattress. Not wasting the time to pull her sheets over herself, she drifted back into her slumber.

Whenever you may, M'Lady; whenever you may.

Jordan scratched the back of his head, visibly annoyed at what Deimos had said. "Gee, thanks Deimos. You're such a helpful individual," he said sarcastically, looking off to the side and shaking his head. To point out the fact that Jordan and Deimos died was more information than what Jordan was prepared to share.

Sophia quickly nodded in agreement with Raven, her head held down and her hands folded. "Oh...right. I guess I might have acted...a bit too hasty." After a few seconds of gathering her thoughts, she realized what Deimos had said, more particularly his name. Before she could immediately reply, she watched as Kousei hurried off into the castle before the rest of the group, with Deimos still slung over his shoulder. "Kousei didn't seem to eager to hang around, did he," she asked Raven, wondering if she too picked up on his haste.

Jordan had begun to strut into the castle behind Kousei before two guards held out large spears, forming an X and preventing Jordan from crossing. They were covered in entirely armor, besides their faces, and both had a look of severe distrust.

"Unless you are another of Sophia's guests for the brunch," one began.

"-and you're well past the fashionably late mark," the other continued, the two obviously finishing each other's sentences.

"-you will have to turn around immediately. Or-"

    "-you will have to-"

Annoyed, Jordan rolled his head and groaned as loud as possible. "Please, just shut the hell up already! I get it, I get it, jeez!" His fingers began to flex and twitch a bit, his inner instinct wanting to kick in and put the two guards in their place. However, that he did not want to set any further bad impressions, he simply balled his hand into a fist momentarily before relaxing it. He turned around to Sophia and Raven, pointing at the two guards. "Hey, uh, mind telling Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum that I'm with you guys?"

Sophia, giggling a bit, waved at the two guards with a smile. "It's ok gentlemen, him and his friend are with us. They will be our new...guests, but just for the evening!" She added the last part, looking at Raven, as though looking for confirmation.

Jordan noted it but said nothing before looking back at the guards. "Now...shoo," he said, motioning his hands as though telling them off.

The two men glared at Jordan at Deimos before slowly beginning to back off, holding their weapons in a battle ready stance.

"It will be fine men." Raven spoke to the guards. "After all I'm here." The guards nodded as the group passed them by.

"This woman still needs to be put in a holding cell, though I can't leave Sophia with Jordan by themselves. Hmm..." Raven thought to herself as they walked. An idea popped into her head as she then led the group around. With a short walk, Raven found the person she was looking for.

"Ah, Captain Garrick, there you are." Raven spoke as she approached the man. "Where would I be able to find Kelianne? There's something that requires... An extra set of hands to work with." Raven motioned her head towards the group behind her. "I assume she's unoccupied at the moment and would have plenty of time on her hands to assist me. Especially since Sophia almost seems to be late to her own banquet."

As the group entered the castle at last, Jordan began eyeing every part of the interior, his face showing no emotion so it wasn't clear whether he was scheming or admiring what was before him.

Sophia, nervously, tapped Jordan on his shoulder, attempting to get his attention momentarily. "Um, excuse me Jordan, but I have to go check up on my friend now. He's going to want to see me as soon as he wakes up so I should really be on my way now to see him."

Jordan smirked and nodded in agreement. "Of course Princess. Go on, I know exactly how that is so I won't be one to stop you. I'll just wait here. I'm sure Raven wouldn't want me wandering off." He looked over to Raven, giving a small wave.

Sophia perked up a bit and replied, "Oh nonsense! We have brunch being served in the dining hall and it's open to the entire kingdom!"

Jordan raised an eyebrow curiously before cocking his head to the side. "A brunch? Sure about that?"

Sophia was about to continue before thinking about it more. Did she really want this stranger to enter the brunch with a wide arrangement of locals still wondering where she was and who this man was? Fearing that it wouldn't look good, she shook her head and announced out loud cheerfully. "Ok, new plan! You'll come up with me to check on Deimos and then I'll escort you down!"

Jordan laughed a bit before giving a nonchalant shrug. "Yes ma'am."

Sophia began to skip along down the hallways to the infirmary with Jordan not far behind until the two finally made it. Sophia was the first to enter, with Jordan entering and then lingering close to the doors. She ran up to Kousei, hugging him tight and saying, "Thank you for bringing Deimos up here Kousei." After a couple of seconds, she finally let go and looked down at her currently unconscious friend. "Is...he going to be alright?"

" I'll find them yet Miss P but i'm sure you've got a job ahead of you. " Before he could finish his sentence he was cut of by sophia hugging him. " Well its nice to see you too?"

    "Is...he going to be alright?"

"Kousei stretched and yawned lazily, and the doctor winked over at Sophia and spoke

"He'll be fine hun luckily a lot of the damage missed his vitals. But he's going to be recovering for quite a while. It seems that he has internal bleeding which i can patch up in no time, it's a good thing you've got such a capable young stallion like kousei here to bring him to me so swiftly."

Kousei's face turned red for a moment as he turned away. " Whatever" But it was then that he saw Jordan.

" Sophie....mind explaining to me what he's doing here?" He said while poiting at Jordan but it didnt stop there Kousei stood up and got in front of Sophia swiftly. His piercing green eyes staring directly at Jordan. "Remember what i told you...."

The doctor yanked Kousei back while keeping another glowing green hand on top of Deimos. " Now now place nice darlins can't have my cute Kousei getting all angry, if you keep your face like that you'll get wrinkles ya know" She said with a sly smirk.

Kousei gave Deimos a swift punch to the gut making him jolt back to consciousness. " Wake up fat ass your duties aint over just yet." As he said that he walked out of the room pushing jordan out of his way with his shoulder.

"Ugh, fuck... What the hell..." Slowly coming to after Kousei's punch, Deimos gazed around at his onlookers and sighed. Defeat. That stun, hard. He'd lost to three strangers with immense power. But from what he observed, Sophia was okay. He didn't notice Jordan at first, and spoke quietly to Sophia, "I'm sorry princess... I failed you. To lose so overwhelmingly... I am ashamed." Shaking his head in shame Deimos frowned, "I am going to contact Kelianne if she hasn't been already, and pull her off leave to defend you in my stead while I recover. I'm in no shape to help you right now."

Jordan smirked the entire time that Kousei was speaking, licking his lips with each word that exited his mouth. He still felt a bit weak from hopping into this dimension so didn't risk to speak back, less he start a fight with someone he could tell was pretty strong. Instead, when Kousei left the room, making sure to bump Jordan, he merely turned his head before looking at Sophia. "You're friend sure does hate me. Must have been something I said," he joked, not expecting any laughter from Sophia. He folded his arms and walked over to the nearest wall, out of the way from anyone wishing to bump him again.

Sophia shook her head at Jordan and smiled, "Oh no, don't be silly. He's just protecting me!"

"Seems you have a lot of friends who do that."

Sophia nodded her head and turned to look at the now conscious Deimos. Her smile widened, barely able to resist hugging Deimos as hard as she could, otherwise she could hurt the possibly still injured Deimos. She shook her head rapidly, holding her hands in front of her mouth as if trying to hide her smile. "Oh hush you! You were just fine Deimos! You can't win them all! Besides, what's important now is that you're alright..."

Not able to hold back any longer, she reached in and gave Deimos a big hug, albeit gently. While the two hugged, she quickly whispered, "And please don't be mad."

Jordan chimed in, head hung low in what appeared to be disappointment as a sigh escaped his mouth. "Hey, sorry about what happened back there. Me and my friends...well, where we come from, holding back and asking questions aren't exactly priority. In our defense though, we actually had every intention of walking away until your guards brought up a...very sensitive piece of information. Unfortunately, it went south from there. I hope you all can forgive us."

"And unsurprisingly she decides to go off on her own. Well at the very least she should be safe here inside the castle."

"Raven? Are you paying attention?" Captain Garrick's voice brought Raven back to the conversation at hand.

"Sorry about that. Being the guard of somebody like that tends to stretch my attention everywhere at times."

"I'm sure it does. Especially for a guardian as special as yourself. Perhaps one of these days you would be willing to part with some of those secrets about yourself. Maybe the one about how you became Princess Sophia's guard in the first place?"

"This again? I thought you've grown past that."

"I have. You've stated to me before that it is your task to protect her, which you have done so. Consider this question as simply an attempt to sate an old man's curiosity."

"And here I hoped this old man's curiosity would be satisfied knowing that I guard her due to her late parents."

Captain Garrick laughed at Raven's reply. "Well then. If you're going to continue to push that answer I suppose I will have to believe you. Returning to the matter at hand, I am surprised it is you coming to me looking for Kelianne instead of the Princess's guard dog himself. Given how uptight he is about everything normally he is the one to call for extra help. And he always has that damn irritating habit of testing everybody to his standards. I can only assume this has to do with those strangers you brought along. Speaking of which, is it a good thing to let that man wander off with the Princess?"

"We shouldn't need to worry about him too much while he's here in the castle. As a way to secure his cooperation and prevent him from doing anything rash, I have a comrade of his." Raven pointed towards Kate, whose body was still frozen in time due to the spell Raven had cast. "As for why it is myself and not Deimos who is looking for Kelianne... I suppose you could say that Deimos' standards aren't quite good enough at the moment. So for now I'm handling things. I'm sorry to sound so secretive about it, but unfortunately this is not a conversation for open space."

Captain Garrick looked around at the open courtyard they were at. "Understandable. Well in that case Kelianne is currently at her quarters. Is there anything else you need?"

"No, that is all. Thank you." Raven spoke before leaving.

Arriving at her door Raven knocked lightly a few times. "Kelianne, are you there? I'm coming in." Whether the door was locked or not didn't seem to matter. Raven effortlessly opened the door and looked inside.
