Pokemon Amethyst Version - OOC and SU

My understanding is that Destiny and Vox have lost interest.

 

While, yes, that would be possible Zacax, you must also think about the backstories of the characters involved and how the abrupt departure of both Vox and Destiny's characters will affect not only the plot, but the other characters themselves.

For example, my character's story revolves around Destiny's character being her only friend and helping her through her transition from boy to girl. I have a bad habit of heavily connecting my characters to Destiny or Vox in some way, which in turn, makes me reliant upon their characters to develop my own further. It's something I need to work on, but is nonetheless present, and so as it stands, my character's story would need to either be rehauled completely, or attached to someone else's character.

Unfortunately, I also built Jasmine to be similar to Seiko from Corpse Party: A lesbian who has a crush on her best friend(in Seiko's case it was Naomi), but encourages her friend to get together with the boy she likes rather then try and get her(Naomi/Aura) to fall in love with herself(Seiko/Jasmine). Last time I checked only Aura, Destiny's character, was an actual born and raised girl, which by the way I built my character, eliminates all the other characters as potential fill-ins.

 

I can assure you, the loss of those two characters will only alter the plot to the extent of how thee absence will change future character interactions, which means that the plot as a whole can still run without them. And honestly, if their departure makes it so you can't even play through this, that makes no difference either.

As long there are at least four of us willing to run through this RP, I think it can work. Hopefully KoD Angel and DW will still be up for it.

 

I saw the same thing too, Sho. By your writing, Jasmine doesn't necessarily need Aura in order to function.

I see two feasible options for moving this one forward without Destiny & Vox (assuming both of them are resolved to discontinue their involvement.

Option 1 would be to have some of us assume two roles and keep Team 1 together (IE I might take up control of Laharl and someone else Aura).

Option 2 would be to integrate a plot point involving the criminal syndicate (which has been alluded to and was planned for, somewhat, by Destiny). Basically, this plan would involve Team 1 having been attacked and separated by said Syndicate on their way to the second gym (by way of a rock slide splitting them in half. Aura and Laharl can be reasoned as having pushed ahead to seek assistance from Aura's father in the next town (as, I recall, he would be the second gym leader), defeating him in the gym challenge in order to convince him to clear the rock slide, opening the road at about the same time that Team 2 arrived to find Jasmine and Zac stranded on the deadend path. This would, of course, require a time skip from us.

I'm personally interested in Option 2, since it brings out a plot element, and keeps us from having to pull a double duty on characters.

I've been informed recently by Vox that he is actually still interested in this RP. He's just been a bit of a creative slump for it, for the most part.

I'm also going to give KoD and DW some time to get back to us. If they haven't shown by the end of the week, we will find a way to move on without them as well.

If we happen to get both DW and KoD on board for the long haul, and Sho continues, we could always maintain Team 1 as a three person team as well. But right now, we can count on a plan of keeping the teams together.

I think my contingency for if we end up without DW and KoD is that we can do the time skip and write them out with the group being separated; and instead we could even say that our team was able to push ahead if we wanted. So it'll be:

((Those three being left behind by some incident/accident that splits the groups)).

I'd also say that we can fill up our Pokemon teams a little bit after the time skip is done, maybe bump us up to three or four on hand, and maybe have our starters evolved.

 

Just think something early-game sort of Pokemon for a team addition. Pidgey/Rattata etc. Maybe a Mankey to hold against the first gym leader.

I hope to make the time skip soon.

 

I see a running gag in the works right there. Maybe you can have the RP's version of Misty's Psyduck. Or maybe a humor of the irony of a trainer with a really good starter only ever encountering less-than-ideal wild Pokemon.

Also, I've been informed that Sho will also be joining us. So now I beg you all the questions:

Should we just keep Aura and someone else assume control of her with Destiny being out?

If we decide to drop Aura, should we simply persist in two groups with one being short a member or push as one team as per the plan I've outlined previously?

 

We've outlined that Aura isn't exactly necessary for Sho's character and we could move on without her.

Is there anyone else in this that is willing to play Aura?
