The Way This Game Plays is Slightly Confusing. Can Someone Clear a Few Things Up?

Well, Having beat Kingdom Hearts 1 Last Night, I decided to move on to Chain of Memories next... And It's very interesting so far. I like what I've seen of the story (Even though I'm only two worlds into it) and the card system is... Unique to say the least. But a few things have been troubling me, and I'm wondering if anyone could answer my questions.

    1) To open doors I realize you need to use cards. But for the doors with crowns over them, you need special cards. I am wondering how you get these cards. Is there a special way? Because it's a bit odd wondering around looking for which door will let me continue with the cards I currently have.

    2) In Battles I find myself very quickly running out of cards, so I want to upgrade my CP quite a bit to be ready for this. How many extra cards can I equip per CP Level Up?

    3) The main pet peeve I have with this game is with how little the heartless spawn, with how many appear being decided by what type of card you use. Usually in a Kingdom Hearts game, I clear out every Heartless in Every room to make sure I'm not underleveled, and it always worked. But with the way this game works, I can't really do that. Does anyone have any recommendations on what level I should be for each world? And if I'm not a decent level, what's a good way to grind?

All of the cards are random, so really there is no way around it. You'll just have to slaughter more and more heartless to obtain the cards that you need.

I think that varies, so their isn't a definite answer.

Hit the door, select your card, fight the heartless, leave, hit the same door again, select your card, and repeat.

I, personally, wouldn't worry. You're just starting. Eventually, you'll get to worlds where heartless drop cards like "Teaming Darkness" and you can grind to your hearts content, so don't worry.

Well, let's see...the doors with crowns over them, you SHOULD have the card that they asked for already. There's a key, heart, and heartless symbol card. As you progress through the world's story through those cards, you'll eventually finish the world. I believe the order goes like this: key > heart > heartless symbol. Where the heartless symbol is the boss, so put a save point close by if you want to be able to save before going inside!

Your last two questions are on levels and stuff, so I'll go into that together. I say a good balance between HP and CP when you level is key. Also, planning out your deck is crucial so you can have plenty of cards. Continuously using sleights is NOT recommended unless you put some "premium" cards in that can't be returned normally. The shadow monster card is really good for early on when you don't have too high of a number cards, it really helps if a boss has tons of 7's and 6's and whatnot. And for me when I play COM or Re:COM, i tend to level up 5-10 times per world so I can be SURE I'm plenty leveled.

And that's all I can remember to suggest, really.
