Welcome to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The current year is 2035 and you are standing in the current capitol of the strongest country in the world. In this day and age, there is no restriction on what the government has their hands in, and they can control almost anything. I'm getting ahead of myself. Let's start from the beginning. This all started in 2026, when one man came into power. He started making things more strict, putting more laws into place. Finally things started to get grim. The country seemed strong, but the view of free will seemed all but gone. Everyone seemed to follow blindly. It seemed like everyone didn't notice that we were under their thumb and they were pushing. So in 2030 a group of teens attempted to form a rebellion and managed to put a bomb on the White House. Most were killed in the assault, but a few survived, being killed in public under the guise of terrorism.

This act promoted a new law into effect. The "Equal Education Act" was passed in late 2031, allowing every child to be entitled to an education, but they are removed from their families during the duration of their schooling. During the shift after the act while schools were built and the facilities were being set up the capitol was moved from Washington to Philly. Some of Philadelphia became these new facilities called 'Finishing Schools' but there is still a large portion that is the urban city many grew up with. All children now are made to take an Admission Exam that determines the future careers of the students. It is a mix of arithmatic, physical, and mental tests that the outcome of which gives you your answer.

Upon completion all teens are given an IF, or infrared tag that marks them as students and must be worn at all times. The tags look similar to the old military dog tags except it is one tag on a chain. As for the future careers most women are given positions as housewives, doctors, or physicians. Men generally get almost any career depending on what their scores are. Those who show that they are truly elite are inducted into the 'SOLDIER' program. This is the new military and only the truly best get a good place in this elite group. Mostly men are pulled into the program as simple infantry, but a rare few get pulled in because of exemplary scores in all areas. They are trained heavily in weapons and combat but their punishments are much harsher.

At the age of 20 is when you go through a Finishing School and are fully deemed a citizen. You may ask what happens to those who act out against this plan the government has for us. Well, let's just say I am one of the few who acted out and currently I am chained in the main square of Philly. The stench of dried blood and river air mix sickly and turn stomachs. I am being made an example of to prevent others from speaking out. All I can say in my last breaths is don't trust them. Something is wrong. Someone needs to stand up against them. Show them we can't be controlled.

The crack of gunfire fills the air as the boy's voice dies with a small gurgle. You glance around at the crowd and begin to realize he was right. Something is not right in this new society. The guards begin to unchain him and drag him away, another blood smear adding to the already countless on the concrete. The chilly autumn air making you shiver as you watch the guards begin to herd you back to the compound that the schools are located at, their eyes cold at the act the entire crowd just witnessed. A light patter of rain begins as you reenter your school, sitting in your class with a new view on things.

Ok, so basically the plot is set in the future. The government has taken over everything in a harsh dictatorship. The adults all just go along with it, almost mindlessly. Kids have noticed and tried to take action, now everyone under the age 20 is required by law to be raised and educated in regulated schools in Philly. These schools are designed to keep the countries youth under control until they reach the age of a full 'citizen' at which time they are sent to a 'finishing school' and then into society. The RP will begin in one of these schools. You can make your character a student, or an official in the government. Time to see what secrets might be buried under the events over the last decade...

Ok, so this is a re-imagining of an old RP from the site, Highschool Hell. Hope and I thought it was a phenomenal concept, but it needed fleshing out more to work properly. Over the last few days we shot a few ideas back and forth and this is what came out. Hope everyone enjoys the RP, and let's just say the story will progress as the RP goes on, the idea is more knowledge and history will be uncovered by the characters, painting a deeper picture of the story.

Ok, so I'm going to get my profiles up, that way it'll get some stuff rolling.

Name: Will McBride
Age: 19
Sex: Male
Class: SOLDIER Spec Ops
Bio: As a child who grew up in Philly, he knows his way around the city very well. He tends to have wandered the streets when he was younger, learning them solely from his own exploratory missions. After the new school system came into play and he was pushed into the schools he tended to not have many friends because of where he was placed. From his eyes he saw the worst of the world when he stood in Philadelphia Square and watched people executed. He saw too much blood spill on the cobblestone grounds to believe that there was a way around it. When he finally entered the school it was with a very dark outlook on the government and his once bright hometown. The compound that housed the school buildings became his home and he didn't like the feeling of bars around him. From his basic entrance exam scores to the countless fights he had been in granted him access to the SOLDIER program, which they disproved of his attitude but his skills made him an asset to the classes in the multiple combat exercises they did. His multiple outbursts and such made the other students tend not to associate with him because of the rumors that followed his shadow in the hallways. Of the few friends he has, there are few he actually opens up to why he is the way he is, one of his closest friends being Hope.

(Tends to dress like this, sleeves rolled up and no glasses. Has brown hair and blue eyes. Stands about 6 foot with a very slim yet muscular build.)
Personality: Pessimistic to a fault, is a fighter by nature. Not naturally hot headed but is very much an angry person. Tends to be closed off around the adults and such, only really opening up to his friends.
Other: Has a habit of using a lot of the skills that he gets taught in the SOLDIER classes to his own devices, whether it be changing his voice and stance, to stealth and combat skills.

Name: Gabriel Morgan
Age: 46
Sex: Male
Occupation: Current President
Bio: As the current president of the United States, he is the one who as enacted all these laws to make children have equal schooling. Is a calculating person who prefers to keep everything in his field and have everything lined up how he wants it. Trusts only people who are above the age of 20, making sure they have finished their schooling. He used the attack on the white house in 2030 to move the capitol to Philadelphia, where he grew up and knows the layout of the land best. Not much is known about the president's history other than he grew up in the current capitol and that he was an almost perfect candidate.

Name: Jordan Tresswell

Class: Cyber Security

Personality: Generally quiet, shy, rarely outspoken unless it's during a debate or he's referencing something he's extremely passionate about, and a computer whiz. Although he doesn't know it, Jordan is known to be a complete jerk, often caring too little for others emotions before a cheap laugh.A hopeless romantic, he often lucks out of many potential relationships due to him either going completely speechless or saying something that could come off as insensitive. Needless to say, Jordan's deduction skills and intelligence are what makes him stand out among many others, often playing mental, unspoken chess with his enemies.

Appearence: Has hazy green eyes, 5"10, 150 lbs.

Bio: Jordan is a native to Philadelphia, but knows little to nothing outside the confines of his room and school. Having always been the nerdy kid in school and amongst his friends, Jordan finds more interest in computers then he does on his social life. When the new school system came into place, Jordan first tried his luck at being placed into the SOLDIER class, only to fail instantly. Failing every fight and physical test given to him, the school was close to simply giving him a job as meaningless ad barber. It was out of sheer luck that he was put into Cyber Security, having left his laptop on while he exited class when day, revealing code that seemed far too advance to have come from a 14 year old boy. The most ironic part of his placement was that the code they had found was a small part of the virus he had been working on to infect a fellow classmate who had insulted Jordan a week before. Of course Jordan never commented on it, thus allowing his placement to go through. Although Jordan is placed in the Cyber Security class, in his spare time, he learns his way around firewalls and other anti-cyber attack measures. He finds a deep sense of satisfaction in hacking and inflicting virus' on unsuspecting students simply for his own amusement. With this anti-social state of mind of his, it is surprising to know that he does have friends, albeit they are very, very small in number.

Bio: Hope was born in Washington about an hour before her twin sister, Angel. Her mother had no career and her father was a Soldier. She always knew that things weren't right and she's seen her own father do some pretty questionable things in the name of his country. Neither of her parents spoke much about it. They just seemed to accept things the way they were, and if Hope ever mentioned it her mother would dismiss it, and the last time she made her promise to never bring it up again. News of a rebellion were rising from the cracks when Hope was around 11 years old. She was too young to know much about affairs of state national security but some part of her wondered if life would be easier if the government was overthrown. Maybe then her mom wouldn't be so scared all the time, and the mean soldiers wouldn't have to wander her neighborhood anymore. One day, when she as 12 years old, Hope and her sister Angel were with their mother. They were on their way home from the grocery store when there was suddenly an explosion a few blocks away from where they were: the White House. Panic spread from that moment and the sisters were separated from their mom. As they struggled to find their way, they ended up closer to the scene of the accident. When Hope saw her dad, the two girls tried to reach him but they were pushed back by other soldiers as he, along with a few others, pulled a group of young people, some appeared no older than Hope herself, into the streets and shot them. Other official looking people were yelling into the crowd that some of the 'terrorists' were brought to justice. The others were to be escorted to a secure place for trial.
Hope and Angel both handled the experience differently. It was the last straw, in a sense, for Hope. Having seen first hand what the order of the country was and how it was effecting her family, she became angry and shut off. Within the next year, other kids like the ones she saw in the square were abducted, questioned, and killed on Television. By the end of that year, the new school system was passed. A letter was sent to the house explaining that Hope and Angel were required by law to leave their home and attend a school in Philadelphia like every other child under the age 21 in the US. The soldiers showed up the next week to escort them to the school. She openly refused to take the test when she arrived at the school. Though she was forced to sit in the room with the paper, and go through the physical exams she refused to write anything. As a result, she scored a zero and was given a basic job: House Wife. She did get into a great deal of trouble for her outburst and her teachers are often a little more strict with her. She has now been a student for four years. She hates the school and the people running it.
Appearance:

Hope is 5'5'' and 126 lbs. She has round features and big green eyes. Her hair is long and red. She dresses in dark colors.
Personality: Hope is smart and outspoken. She is also pessimistic and cynical, preferring not to trust anyone but her sister and closest friends.

Age: 18
Sex: Female
Class: Healer
Bio: A lot of her bio is seen in Hope's so I won't go into as much detail here. The experience at their home was different for Angel. Where it made Hope angry, Angel was in denial of the event. Though she stopped speaking for months, even with Hope, when she finally spoke again it was to Hope and she refused to speak about what the girls witnessed. Even though she won't talk about it, Angel has never been quite the same. When she and Hope were sent to the school, Angel was obedient and took the test as asked. Based on her physical exam, she nearly scored 'Billboard" which was basically a model for Military propaganda. This result was based only on her looks, which were considered 'above average' and her spoken interview, where she was too shy to say much.
Her score changed drastically with her written tests when she proved to be much more intelligent than she was at first believed to be. She was placed last minute in the healer program for the military. At first, Angel was nervous about the calling especially because of her fear of those in the military she encountered in the past. The military part still bothers her, though Angel has started to discover that she enjoys learning to help people. The school and her life still feels more like a prison than anything else to her. She wishes more than anything for a better life and the freedom to make her own choices in a world that wasn't full of violence.
Appearance:
Angel, though she is Hope's twin sister, is not identical to her. The girls have similar bone structure but Angel is smaller and has a lighter complexion. She is 5'5'' and weighs 120lbs. She has large blue eyes, long wavy blonde hair, and wears a lot of light colors and floral patterns.
Personality: Angel is more trusting than Hope though she is much more shy. She is beautiful and caring to all though her quiet and shy personality gets her the reputation of not being very smart with her classmates.

Name: Liberty "Lib" or "Libby" Stewart
Age: 18
Sex: Female
Class: Doctor
Bio: Liberty Sophie Alexander was born July 4th, 2018. At the time of her birth her mother was just a teenager only 15 years old, her father was 17. They grew up in the streets of Philadelphia and started to raise their young daughter in Philadelphia. Liberty's father was a very patriotic man, enlisting in the military as a marine going off to war but was discharge due to a medical occurrence that left him paralyzed from the waist down.

Libby was only 3 at the time of her father's accident, so she grew up with her father, some teasing her for her father's physical state, she looked at her father like a hero though. In 2026 the president was shot two years into term when the vice president came in and took over. Her father was livid. Libby, only 8 years old at the time and did not comprehend at all what the big deal was with this president. She could only tell her father didn't care for him.

Libby's mother, a more laid back gentle nature, tended to follow what the government told her to do, that's what Libby noticed the most. The more she was being required to work to support them and the less money they were receiving. Her mother was paid less and less and the military vet check for her father stopped coming.

Libby's mother took it as is though while her father fought it. In 2030 he came up with a plan, to put a stop to it all. Her father left Libby and her mother traveling to D.C. hoping to speak about the wrong doing. He never came back dying in the explosion at the White House. Although, not involved at all, he was pointed it at as being a part of the terrorist act due to him wanting to speak on the matters of the "well-being" of the country.

Worried on also being considered as part of the act, Libby's mother took her and her daughter outside of Philly. Working through a friend of her father, Libby and her mother forged separation documents and changed names to Libby's mother's maiden name, and unfortunately had to act out that her father was a terrorist just so they would not be executed as terrorist themselves.

In 1931, when Libby was 13 the Equal Education Act was passed. Libby was forced to take a test and leave her life with her mother behind. Thanks to her father's medical injuries and her mother being a nurse, Libby tested in to start schooling as a Doctor.

Personality: Liberty has a personality very similar to her father's. She's tough, confident, and motivated. She's extremely intelligent and also tends to be stubborn. She's not like the typical female student who tend to be teacher's pets and even know some may be going after a career, like she is, they also tend to try to become house wives, Lib finds that rather annoying and typically competes instead with the guys to prove she's just as good if not better. Overall Libby is a bit a tom boy in nature as well.

Bio: Growing up, Ellen, a young chronically ill girl, lived with parents who didn't like her. They constantly locked her in her room, or just blocked her cries out completely. Unable to deal with the stress of her sickness and loneliness from lack of love, Ellen slowly pulled away from the world, hiding away in her own comforting shell. Things only became worse as she went to school. She was constantly bullied, and abused by her classmates, and was labeled as the "Bitch of Despair" when she was 14 years old.

Her father had a large collection of weapons at home, and in the few times he actually spent time with her when she was younger, he passed his wide knowledge of weaponry down to her. So, after displaying her impressive knowledge of weapons to an instructor, she was placed in the Weapon Specialist class, where her knowledge of weapons from her father allowed her to reach the top of her class. She was actually happy about this, she had found something she could do successfully. But the bullying never ceased, it continued, becoming more and more frequent. Nobody, teacher, nor student, ever attempted to help her.

Then, tragedy struck. At the age of only 16, one of her classmates, who had been one of the first people who bullied her, went farther then anyone could have ever imagined. During one of the daily bullying sessions, her classmate slammed Ellen against a nearby wall, as he came closer to her, she finally retaliated, reaching out and slapping the bully across the face. Her classmate was well known for letting his anger overtake his reasoning, and, in a most horrific display, he stabbed Ellen's right eye. The scream that followed was nothing short of absolute horror and pain.

She never recieved full medical treatment, instead, the wound was checked, and when it was determined it wasn't infected, she was instructed to leave. Her eye never recovered, and as a result, it remains permanently closed. The scar across her eye becomes visible when one gets close enough. But ever since that day, Ellen has become a stoic, emotionless being, who's only desire is the love she never recieved her entire life.

Personality: Stoic, and rather emotionless. Ellen could be considered a stereotypical "emo" Since pretty much losing her right eye at the age of 16, she's been known to occasionally cut herself. The pain is a feeling not new to her, and the scars across her eye and her body are proof of that.

Other: Her illness has been deemed untreatable, unless Ellen becomes willing to fully cooperate with the hospital and its staff. However, her lack of trust towards others has severely hindered her chances at being treated. If the disease is not treated within the next year and a half, Ellen will die.

Name: Aiden Cooper
Age: 19
Sex: Male
Occupation: SOLDIER
Bio: Aiden grew up in Washington DC in his younger years near the White House. His parents both worked for the government and his family was well off. His parents never really seemed to get along. They were always arguing about political affairs. His mom didn't like the new president and it seemed like his sister Aya agreed with his mom. His dad was of a different opinion and it caused some hostility in his family. When Aiden was 14 years old, Aya was a member of the group of teens that bombed the White House. His mother was killed in the attack and his father was injured. A few weeks later, Aya was taken to Philly and killed publicly along with others in the rebellion. Not long after that, his father recovered from his injuries and spent a lot of time with his remaining government co workers and the "Equal Education Act" was announced. Aiden was sent to school and placed in the Soldier program. He quickly rose to be one of the top students in the class. His father, having had a great deal to do with the Act was placed as the school's "Principal" though he was technically in charge of all of the schools across the country.
Though Aiden and his father had to go to great lengths to prove they were not traitors like Aya and possibly his mother, they are now in good standing in the government and Aiden seems to have a bright future ahead of him. he is favored by his teachers and reports back to his father on things that go on inside the school. He knows a lot of the things that go on behind the scenes of the government but not everything.

Personality: Aiden is cocky, smart, and strong. He likes to be challenged and to win and goes to great lengths to make sure that he does. He looks up to his father very much.

Name: John Cooper
Age: 45
Sex: Male
Occupation: Principal
Bio: John has spent many years in the White House as a senator in the Government. When the new president was elected he did everything he could to be sure his family would be safe, his personality changed quite a bit. But he and his wife never could agree on what was best for their family in light of the changes going on in the country, in fact the more work he did in the White House the more stern he became. Eventually, his daughter began to speak out as well. When his wife asked for a divorce, about a year before the terrorist attack, John accepted and gave full custody of Aya to his wife- an act that probably saved him and Aiden from being executed for treason after the terrorist attack one year later.
He is now the man in charge of the Equal Education Act. His position is publicly known as the Principal though he acts more like a warden especially for the school in Philly which is where he spends most of his time.
