Pokemon: Legendary Guardians

Humans and pokemon have worked together in harmony for generations. They share bonds of friendship, and love unrivaled by anything known on this planet. The strongest among these bonds are seen among the pokemon and the trainers.

However, there are always humans who will try to harness the power of pokemon for evil purposes. People such as Team Rocket, Team Magma and Aqua, Team Galactic, and so on. Every time one of these evils have arisen, Trainers and pokemon alike have risen up to stop the threat. While evil normally comes in the form of groups, lone humans are still capable of great acts of evil.

In the region of Sinnoh, a group of young trainers are planning an expedition to Snowpoint where they wish to search for the Legendary pokemon of the lake. Since they are still early in their pokemon journey, They have hired an experienced trainer to escort them.

Little do they others realize that one among their group is planning to capture the Legendary pokemon, and the others, and use their power for their own personal gain.

The rules for this R.P. are simple. You may only start off with one starter, except the experienced trainer who will have four. However, I will play that part, so don’t worry about that.

In battle, only three healing items can be used, so as not so have long spam battles. After battle you have to re-stock on items, as you have a limited supply. Keep exp gaining and evolution to a realistic level, you should not have a level 50 pokemon by post three basically. All pokemon start at level 5. This is also anime verse, as in dodging and whatnot are a possibility. Also, Pokemon Translators are a thing in this story, as in eventually you can buy a device for your pokemon that will allow it to speak English. However, don’t get this out of the gate, and run it by me before you buy one.

Oh and a big rule. Pokemon CAN DIE. Now normal battles shouldn’t be enough to kill them, but if something happens that should kill off a pokemon and not just have it faint, it’s dead. Run all deaths by me first though please.

The RP will start off well before the expedition though, so you have time to train and catch more pokemon, and meet the other players before the “main story” will start. Also I’ll tell the poacher who they are after everyone is signed up. It’s a surprise, so only I and the poacher will know who they are. So don’t suddenly decide to go rogue and become a poacher if I haven’t told you to be one.

Also the poacher will win up at snowpoint, which will lead into the main story, as the others try to stop them from catching the other Legendaries.

Here is my first character.

Name: Jet

Age: 18

Role: Experienced Trainer/ guide

Appearance:

Personality: Comes off like a mentor, trying to give helpful tips to younger trainers. He is very knowledgeable about many different species of Pokemon. However, his downside is that he often looks down on many trainers, he has an inadvertent superiority complex, and thinks that inexperienced trainers shouldn’t be left with difficult tasks until they are older and more knowledgeable. As a result, he can come off as snotty. However, his trait of helping them seems to make up for it, if the other trainers don’t mind being handled with “kid gloves”

Bio: Jet was born and raised in Jubilife. At age 10 he set out to go on his Pokemon journey, and managed to complete the gym circuit at age 14. He has no big plans to challenge the Elite Four right away, though he believes he will eventually in the future. Seeing as he only has four pokemon, he knows he isn’t ready to face them just yet. However, he is in no rush to complete his team just yet.

Starter Bio/Personality: Razor is a loyal Pokemon, and would never challenge his trainer, or question his motives. In Battle, he is a vicious fighter.

Flash: Flash prides himself with being the fastest member of the team. He has a slight superiority complex much like his trainer, but his pride never blinds him to him limits or the job at hand. He prefers long distance flying type moves. Or moves that need his speed.

Gia is the tank of the team. His strength is incredible, and seemingly limitless, however, he does have his limits. Gia is the most humble member of the team.

Pyro is very level headed, and acts almost like a father towards Jet. Trying to keep him in line, however, at the end of the day, he is just as loyal as Razor.

 

Well seeing as you're the only one to sign up, I'm willing to do a two person RP. I suppose the idea could still work. super rivalry or something. I wish we could get, like, two more people though. just for the diversity.

 

Hmm very nice. So I'm gonna guess Coal is from Oreburg? Also since Charmander are rare...well anywhere, can I get a little backstory on how his dad got it? This is for your benifit as well, stronger backstories make for stronger characters.

Guys remember the expedition hasn't even been planned yet. Let's say everyone meets in Eternia for the first time. that's Zac's second badge. Seeing as he and Jet are now traveling companions. That should be more than enough time to set up a base plot and do some training.
