I am issuing an open challenge to anyone willing to accept it. I am willing to battle up to three opponents simultaneously; this can either be a team of three players with one character each, or one player running three characters at once. I will take my pick if multiple possibilities are presented.

For this battle, I will be using my character Adrian Savona/Glyde Savian: http://www.khplanet.com/forums/312763-post7.html

This will be a non-continuum battle, so there's no need to overlook his history or even to reference any past events of our characters.

General Ground Rules will include: no use of "time manipulation," such as stopping or slowing it, or time travel. Such means of transport as portals and teleportation should be used sparingly (once or twice in battle is more than enough). Healing mid-battle is forbidden, unless a transformation results in a natural stamina boost. Transformations that result in power augmentations will be temporary, and WILL tire a character more quickly.

The setting will be up to my challengers. However, I request that it remain within the spirit of Kingdom Hearts.

I'll participate. I'm going to use one of my two villains from the "Kingdom Hearts II: Neo Organization" roleplay but I am going to change up some things on her so I hope you don't mind if I put up a new template here. Also, I will let you decide as to what kind of arena we will battle.

    Name: Enchantress Xiana
    Real Name: Nerissa?
    Age: 72 (Looks like 23)
    Height: About 5'8?
    Weight: About 177?
    Gender: Female

Title: The Corrupted Sage of Deceiving
    Rank: IX
Personal Treasure: Seal of the Essence.
    Faction: Neo Organization
Likes: Loves destruction. Lust for dominion and power. Kidnaps souls to get stronger.
Dislikes: Hates people getting in the way of her plans. Hates people acting like the hero. Also hates the memories of people she holds dear.

Weapon: Her scepter with a gigantic diamond at the top is able to separate into two long dual swords called Ivan.

Abilities: Use the element of thunder, psychic powers, Quintessence (A fifth element also known as aether in the form of dark energy), and can bend the powers of darkness to her will. Also can summon.

Her summon is a white and silvery version of Alexander. The Trance Form is not like her Ultima Form. She can access to it that's all to herself that's more powerful than her original form, but this weakens her defense significantly and slows her down when using spells.

    Lesser Nobodies: Dancers

Alexander: When summoned, takes on the form of a silver, metallic and soulless knight with a large, two handed sword. It wields holy attacks of immense strength. However, due for its defense and power, it moves slow. His following attacks are:

Judgement: His Ultimate Attack: This move shoots many holy beams at everyone.
Divine Spear: Summons a spear imbued in light, throws it and makes it explode.
Radiant Balance: Reacts to his summoner's magic and use Quintessance to have more variety in his attacks.

Appearance: Xiana wears a long, white crown with 5,000 diamonds and pearls instilled in it and a silver silk gown with clothe of pure white. Her heel shoes are olive. Her hair is auburn and her eyes is brown. In Trance form, Xiana takes on a more, violent form. She wears a dark, violet hourglass dress and her heel shoes is old silver. Her hair becomes darker but her eyes stay the same. In her Ultima Form, her dress becomes more revealing, showing her legs. She wears a brighter white strapless dressbut her heels is shorter. Has white hair and black eyes though.

Trance Form: Her form is more powerful but she moves slower and has a longer cast time. Also a weaker defense in exchange for more power. Her weapon also gets darker and she is able to gain the ability to merge her dual swords into a two-handed sword or into a larger staff.

Ultima Form: Weaker defense than the Trance form but amazing strength and an increase in speed from her Trance form. Lose the ability to have a two-handed sword and a larger staff. However, her power over Quintessence is greater and is strengthened.

  3. How did I miss this thread?? I'm definitely in. Give me a couple hours to pick which character I want to use, I'll post it here soon.

Summoner: I may have to ask you to tone the character down if I wind up getting one or two more willing opponents. Other than it's well and good, though the summoning, as per arena rules, will have to have restrictions.

EDIT: Case in point, that Kurai is going to be joining.

  5. I assume you're referring to this tidbit:

"Limit NPC Involvement. NPCs, or non-player characters, are those characters that, while played exclusively by one person, do not represent that person in a battle thread. If the battle is meant to be one character per player, and you decide to have an NPC hanging around, then you should obligate yourself to moderating what you do with said NPC, in order to prevent the scales being unfairly tipped. An NPC’s moves must be left ambiguous, allowing the targeted player(s) to determine where, and how bad (if at all) the move hit their character. Force hits may be made on NPCs, but they may not be killed off without permission from the person playing them."

Am I correct? Just want to make sure I'm clear on the rules.

Also, I call dibs on choosing the setting. If that's okay with both of you.

Yeah. That's pretty much what I was referring to. And yeah, feel free to set the locale for this, Kurai. And, no offense to him, I think Summoner should actually try to remove some powers, or at least make it less broad. I want a challenge, but I don't feel like getting massacred out there.

  7. I don't personally feel like Summoner's template is overpowered, but maybe I am misunderstanding what power level you want your opponents to have. Are we supposed have power levels comparable to Glyde, or are we supposed to essentially play with 1/3 of that power level?

    EDIT:

"or at least make it less broad"

Missed this part first time around. I would agree that more specifics on the abilities would be nice.

If I'm gonna have two to three opponents I'd prefer to it either less individual powers with more range, or otherwise more individual abilities with less range. So to speak.

I'm depressed that our original battle was unfinished... so I figure I'll take my newest character to the arena: Ace from Legend of Sol. He'll be exactly the same as he is in his original template.

Wayward, I'll leave it up to you whether he can use his Triforce transformation, but in this he does have it(The ToP)

I suppose LoZ can mix well with KH. So long as you give a little more detail on some specific abilities the character has. And just keep in mind that transformation expend energy, by my ground rules.

    EtherealSummoner Lamentations 3:22-26

I'll take out the bringing life to inanimate objects and manipulating dreams part. I am not seeing myself using that anyways.

I'd like to know more about her summon. I have no idea who or what Alexander is, or what it's capable of by your description; and again, keep in mind that if you use it in this battle, your character is temporarily removed as an active combatant. And all due respect, your quintessence ability, as you've described it, can be factored into her manipulating darkness. In all truth, that's about all I have to say, provided that you're going to stick with stock abilities from your powers.

I was actually going to stick with the transformation occuring after Ace's human body is killed/incapacitated, sticking with the Ganon possessing and transforming the body kind of thing you know?

I can accept it incapacitated. A transformation drawn out by being on the edge of death, or on dire straits. Everyone should keep in mind that this is a three on one, and despite how it looks, Glyde/Adrian isn't all too powerful. He's just got a lot of variety to pull from.

  15. EtherealSummoner

    EtherealSummoner Lamentations 3:22-26

I made an update on Alexander. Also, Alexander is just a reference to the Final Fantasy counterpart.

  16. Now, see, this is why I made it a point to ask about the rules. I was not aware that if you summon something, your MC must be temporarily removed. Care to elaborate on that? Is it another house rule, or is it included in the Roleplay Arena rules? Is it like that for all summons, or just ones that rival your MC in power?

That's a typical summoner-y thing to do. If you've played FFX, then the summoner and all other PC combatants are removed from the field, wheras in other games, both the summoner and the summons can occupy the field. It's not a house-rule, more of just a fantasy trope, Kurai.

EDIT: Although this time looks like a command so that it won't be OP.

Meh. I really do not care since this is Wayward's roleplay and he can do whatever he likes. Now, what about those other templates? I hope it is not just me fighting against Wayward.

It is covered in the house rules. As a general practice, summoners should take a more passive role when utilizing a summon. Though I suppose I'll need to better define the circumstances. I didn't call Kurai out on it in the Bash, due to the fact that golem familiar seemed to be little more than a telekinetically operated pile of earth sediments.

  20. This was the answer I was looking for. Thank you for elaborating, Wayward. I decided to make a new OC for this battle, working on the template now.

Also, I've decided on the Setting. The fight will take place in the Keyblade Graveyard. I will submit a small template for the area:

Description: The Keybade Graveyard is a legendary battleground. Countless souls of light and darkness have clashed upon these badlands, their remnants left in the form of endless Keyblades littering the area. The dense patches of Keyblades form a crossroads over a rocky plain. The plain is surrounded by plateu and is populated with frequent rocky formations that thin as you get closer to the center of the crossroads. The orphaned Keyblades can sense the heat of battle, and yearn to be used by passionate hearts once more.

Special Properties: The Keyblades in the Graveyard want to be used again. Each combatant may incorporate these Keyblades into their attacks up to twice per battle. The Keyblades are used as improvised weapons. After the attack is performed, the Keyblade transports back to where it was taken from, stuck into the ground.

    -------

Wayward, feel free to veto this suggestion if you don't like it. You can also cut out or change the Special Property if it's not to your liking.
