    Story:

Many worlds have fallen to the immense powers of the darkness, led by a mysterious group of beings called the Syneptophy. These dark souls are like vampires, who suck away the energy from the worlds. These worlds' weaknesses can be various. Some are in the form of a keyhole and some are in the form of natural beings such as a tree. Many worlds are distinct but The Syneptophy can sense where the weaknesses are with their highly sensitive powers (could be a sense of smell or a compass marked on someone's hand). The Syneptophy are now seeking something more though. Something more powerful than feeble worlds. They want the heart of all worlds and it is not Kingdom Hearts. It is called the Deep Granam, the epicenter of everything; not just hearts. It contains all the worlds' history, all the energy of the universes. With that power, the Syneptophy would control everything and be eternal rulers. Now it is up to a small group brave heroes to take down this horrible threat. This is the battle for everything.

    Next post starts the RP.

Fractals are a curious thing. From one specific point, they multiply the number of edges into two, then four, then eight, ad infinitum. They are highly conceptualized in academic settings, and indeed they have all rights to stay that way. But, if some were to attempt to harness that power, to bring it into reality, most would be considered crazy. And again, it is rightly so. But when a collection of desperate individuals band together to research all available solutions to the world's newest and worst problem, then they are considered heroes.

The Aura Academy's research proved fruitful, and indeed they had a method to seek out the source of the Rot. Whispers, visions, all sorts appeared in the Fractal Glass. The Synectophy was one such whisper, and was commonly associated with the disappearance of other planes. The heads of the Academy needed to send an envoy, a guardian to try to stop the Rot from spreading - but the Rot did not originate in their universe, so it had to be weeded out of another. There was only enough resources to make one of the proposed machine. Out of all the candidates at the Academy, only a few passed the skill test required. Only one had the innate protection that would keep her safe in event of. . . transference issues.

Marie Ross said her good-byes. Her father was proud. Her friends were envious and worried all at once. And all too soon, it was time to go. The Spirit user pulled a barrier on her body and activated the device.

    -------------------Some time later-----------------

In an alley in London, a field appeared. Not the grassy, wheat-laden kind, but the barrier kind, in a sphere. From where the human's 'core' would be, a bright point appeared. Lines pulled themselves out of that point like a spider pulling thread and filled out the field, becoming the shape of a woman. The light died, leaving one confused American standing in its place.

"This is NOT Chicago," She mumbled, pulling out a gps device hanging from a belt. "London? It's definitely a start."

In the heart of an oriental shrine, two minds converged in a group meditation. They were those of the Kazuma brothers, Fujiwara and Chiba. The sole survivors of their clan and family, the pair stood as the only defense for their home planet against the tide of the Syneptophy; the horrid creatures that seemed to know nothing but destruction. As the last line of defense against the onslaught on their world, the brothers used much of their time off from the battling to home their bodies and minds, thus blossoming the greater powers they held within.

But one of the two minds was impatient, and brash.

Kazuma Chiba, the younger of the brothers, opened his eyes halfway through the meditation process. He looked around the shrine of the family temple in disappointment. There wasn't much left of their home. The training area had been battered and beaten. The halls were torn to splinters in places. They hardly had a roof over their heads. Safe for the shrine, the whole place was in shambles. The younger brother's face scowled as he thought about it. Suddenly, he rose to his feet. "Alright!" he said.

"I'm certain that you're not finished with your meditation cycle yet," Fujiwara said, not breaking trance. "Sit down, and restart."

"What? Why?" Chiba seemed beside himself all of the sudden. "Do you even know what I'm saying? Do you even know what you're saying?"

"Not this again," Fujiwara said, still in a trance-like state. "This is an important part of our training. We can't simply skip meditation because you don't see the point in it."

"But those things! They're out there somewhere. We're supposed to protect Earth from them, but we don't even know where they're coming from! No portals, no ships! We have to find out--"

Fujiwara had risen to his feet, cutting his younger brother off. "You're young," he said. "And you're impatient to boot. We will find them if we can tune into their energies more accurately. But we can only do that through focused meditation. You must understand that it's the only way to find such a subtle disturbance."

"I think the Ki has gone to your head brother," Chiba said. He began to levitate towards the door to the outside. "I need some air." Fed up, he began to fly towards the mountains around the broken temple complex. He got halfway before a hard fist struck his face. Wiping the blood from his nose, he glared at Fujiwara. "What?" he pouted. "I can't go for a fly now?"

"As a matter of fact no," Fujiwara spat. "We've already lost what was left of our family to those things. And that was with all of us fighting together. Wander off and they'll pick us both off easily."

"But we're stronger now. Stronger than we were last time they attacked. We can take them!"

"No. I'm putting my foot down on this Chiba! We fight them together, or not at all! You can either go back to the shrine, or you can try and fight passed me... Now let's get back."

A portal filled with darkness and the void appeared strangely in a forest that is currently covered in fog. Electricity was spewing from it as sparks and a strange figure with large, purple wings came out of the portal with a fiery mask. As he stepped out, he was wondering as to where he is residing right now. "This place. Very interesting. Another world to play." He realizes that this forest has a lot of animals still making eerie sounds in the night. "I think I shall, heat things up." As he turned back to the portal, he had an army of orange-colored humanoid reptiles with scales come out of the portal. "Now for us to go and take over this puny planet." the reptiles lifted up their swords and shields and end up spewing flames from their mouths, starting a forest fire.

"The fire has no end in its anger and rage... The Seer should be here."

A cold wind was blowing very hard as one of the elders was telling a story of the Ice Goddess. However, the elder told of an untold story that gave more on the Ice Goddess. "What do you mean sir?" "Well, after Skadi bound Loki and left to be with her husband, she went back to grieving once again. She somehow had evil come into her heart and have her have devious thoughts to revenge her father. The other god, Ull, tried to comfort her but Skadi struggled with her marriage." "What happens next?" "Well, the Ice Goddess injured Ull and went on to the thrones of the gods, slaying them. Her vengeance and power were greater than the gods but when her husband came back to soothe her soul, he bound her into a crystal of ice and she was trapped in there... or that is how the legend goes."

"But what kind of evil?" "Some say it was from Loki, whispering doubts and acts of hatred in her mind after being released, others say that it was from grieving over the thoughts of spending time with her father but we may never know."

As everyone stopped telling stories, the wind becomes too much outside and a blizzard came. "It looks terrible outside. Time for bed." One of the maidens opened the door to check outside and saw that it was very cold but as she looked, she saw one lady outside with a crown and her hair standing up...

Kudlak slid open the door from the outside of his balcony, stepping into the kitchen. With all of the nonchalance that an immortal vampire that is able to control an entire army and wields the power of one of the most powerful magics in the world undoubtedly holds, he strode over to the bench and took a bread knife from it's holder. This he then used to, as it's name implies, cut bread, then covering the slice that he'd just cut with a thin film of butter. He also poured a fine wine into a glass, and took both the wine and the bread back outside, where he sat and admired the view.

Taking a bite into the bread and a sip of the wine, he began to contemplate how sometimes it's the small things in life that you appreciate most, things like: bread, wine, the sky, good company, mortality.

He set the wine glass on the small wooden table next to him while he took the final bite of the bread. Once finished, the contented vampire turned his head to the parchment rolled up on the table, sealed with a wax stamp bearing the letters SY crossed over each other in a fanciful style. He carefully removed the seal and opened up the letter to find an extremely short message written with immaculate detail to precise lettering.

    "London."

He turned again to his wine, then to the loaf of bread in the kitchen, mulled on the quality of them both and then turned his thoughts to London.

    "Bugger."

The bright sun shined into a classroom in London, full of children. It was about 2:59 and the class was about to end. The teacher had been lecturing her class about astronomy and other boring facts about space. All the children in the room were bored, except for one, this boy was happy to hear about the alignment of the stars and planets. He seemed cheerful when hearing about the planets, but everyone else weren't to happy about it.

This boy was so fascinated in everything. He seemed to always be happy, even at the worst of times. It was almost like he was in-humane.

"All right class thats the end of class, remember to turn in your permission slips tommorow so we all can attend the astronomy museum." The Teacher said as multiple children walke out of the door.

"Umm Leo..." The Teacher said as a young boy walked past her.

    "Yes, Ms Arianna?" Leo said

"I know your situation, but without permission from a guardian....you can't attend the school field trip." She said sadly as the boy's face began to frown.

"I understand" He said as he walked out of the classroom. "Well I guess I need to find someone's signature." he murmured to himself with a sneaky devilish smile on his face.

Leo began walking down the hallway and stopped at his locker and began putting his combination.
Many people walked by telling Leo "Have a good weekend" or " Cya on Monday Leo".
Leo just waved and smiled at them as h grabbed his brown leather book bag from his locker, then shutting it after removing it.

Leo had made his way out the door of the school and finally reached his favorite after school destination, Mr.Softies Frozen Yogurt and Smoothie Palor. "May I have a bannana and peanut butter smoothie, please" Leo said handing the cashier three dollars and twenty-five cent.

Leo smiled as the cashier and grabbed his smoothie from her hand and made his way to his usual spot in the parlor. Leo looked out the window into the sky and began to smile.

Marie ambled down the streets of London, one arm crossed while the other held out the GPS. Cargo pants contained most of what she needed, with an odd-looking packpack with four mirrored ports on the backside seemed to carry anything else. She debated her options mentally, seeing as her initial strategy wasn't quite playing out. She drawled, "Oh yeah, sure. Send the girl to an alternate plane of existence without giving her a proper locator for the catalyst or whatever the hell they're calling it. No, no, it'll be okay. Because SURELY she'd just magically find it through luck and it'll all be better! It's totally like there's going to be some outside force of influence at work here, guiding her every move! Yeah, that's it!"

The Aura user raised her gps in the air, declaring, "Well screw them and their stupid technology!" before throwing it down at the pavement. Just before it hit the ground, however, she sent a puff of energy to soften it's landing so only the casing took any damage. She stooped to pick up the device, looking around. Noticing one sign, she uttered, "Smoothie place. Good a place to start as any."

Slipping into the building, which had many windows and an overall cheery atmosphere, she approached the bartender, glancing at a blonde kid in the corner.

"Er, could you help me?" The American queried, faking a convincing apologetic look. "I need to exchange my money and pick up a newspaper. I just got into town and I kind-of. . . forgot. To do those things. At the airport."

Leo looked up out the window then at his smoothie. "Well guess it's time for another one" He said looking at the empty smoothie glass. Leo grabbed his glass and walked up to the counter and put it on the counter as he looked at the woman talking to the bartender. "Excuse me may I have another one please" Leo asked politely.

He had noticed that the brown haired lady he was standing next to had glanced at him but he paid it no mind.

Leo just simply stood there and waited for his refill, patiently.

    "Why?"

"Why what? Why are you under attack? Or why is it me who is attacking you?" The question was answered with contempt. "The answers to those are quite simple really. You are under attack simply because your entire world is unfortunate for existing. I am the one attacking you because sometimes I get bored and would rather do the fighting myself instead of letting the others handle things."

"Why was one man able to defeat us?"

"That is because you are all pathetically weak." The assailant answered. Those words were followed by a snap of a finger. Blades rained down from the sky, killing everybody unfortunate to be underneath them. The man who created the blades walked forward towards what was being defended. A tree. A small, almost dead looking tree. Branches had been cut off from the previous attack and there were even several swords impaled into the tree. The man grabbed one of the swords that were stuck in the tree and pulled it out. Strangely enough the tree completely shattered when the blade was removed. From beneath the ground where the tree was orbs of light burst free. Millions upon millions of orbs were released from the ground. They rose up and spread themselves about, looking as though they would blanket the area around them. The man rose his hand into the air, causing all the orbs to gather above his hand. They would collect and then disappear into his body.

As this happened the world slowly began to decay. Each orb that came into the possession of the man caused the decay to occur faster and faster. Once the final orb was gone, the world was left to die.

Fire, blazing through the forest. Everything look as though it is Hades all lit up. All of the critters were desperate to escape with their lives as they ran to hide in the deepest parts of the forest. The Fire Mage laughed through his metal mask and used a portal, returning back to a mysterious base to meet up with his allies. The forest was doomed to extinction.

The Ice Queen gently walked throughout the city, everything was trapped in crystallized ice. Some of the trees' leaves were falling slowly but surely, withering away and breaking into smaller pieces. Some of the houses were blue and with no warmth at all. Some of the people who were walking were trapped in their crystal prison. Some realizing that they are freezing, some who witnessed her power, some who were just innocent to the core. As the Ice Queen saw one priest who were in his form of terror, she was furious. She lifts her hand high up in the sky and swung it. The ice crystal of the priest immediately shattered and his life ended. "it is better for a place like this to be beautiful in a state like this. Wretched beings." The Ice Queen then teleported, going back somewhere to a mysterious base.
