Hey, so I just bought a brand new iPad 3rd Generation. I have a few apps from my iPhone on it, but I want some more. Any recommendations?

    I'm a little picky so...
-I'd like to stay cheap or even free on apps
-if playing games, I'm more into the adventure RPG where you actually control the character. The game also needs a good story(like on my iPhone on my favorite games is "Caster")
-I'm going to be a college freshmen
-I'm major in music education so anything music related or education related preferably.
-I'm into photography and plan on getting into video making, so any easy to use photo editing or video editing apps(besides iMovie)
-I'm afraid of freshmen 15 so any good health apps I'll take

Also my iPad is going to be my eReader so any book recommendations are awesome too. I'm into the whole fantasy romance fiction(except Twilight- My favorite book series is the Beautiful Creatures/Caster series).

Well I play a cool MMORPG game from time to time. It's free...and sorta addictive. It's called Empire Online, it's by Lakoo. The game is pretty cool, if you decide to get it please let me know what your username is.

Don't be afraid of the Freshmen 15, hahah! Most, if not all, college campuses have free gym centers with weights and cardio equipment, not to mention basketball courts and a track, so you should be fine. Some apps that I think are fairly good and can help you would be: Nike Training Club, RunKeeper, Lose It! (a calorie counting app, pretty good), and Fooducate (which shows proper nutritional information for store bought food).

If you're scared of working out in the gym, (let's be honest, a lot of us were at first), then there's some great exercise videos on YouTube. BodyRockTV has excellent cardio and strength programs that you can do in your dorm/home with minimal equipment! Check 'em out!

All-in-all, if you make an honest effort to run/do other cardio for at least 30 to 40 minutes a day, and you aren't constantly eating unhealthy at your school's cafeteria, you shouldn't be worried. Not to mention, just doing cardio in general is a great way to give you energy for the rest of the day, (I do it in the evening, so I'm kinda screwed there XD). Also I know a lot of women are kinda iffy on lifting weights, but honestly, you're not going to look like Stella from the Russian Federation if you start lifting. They don't even have to be that heavy of weights! Lifting weights or using machines really helps lose fat weight along with the cardio, so you'll be essentially losing weight and looking toner as you continue doing it!

Don't have many entertainment apps that I can suggest, but looking around the App Store is always fun and you can find some great stuff there. Hahah, I hope this helps a little! Bit of a cardio/musclehead rant there, but you should be good if you make a conscious effort!
