A girl sat on the roof of the arena located on the world of Radiant Garden. The girl was only about 12 years old her master was letting them stay there to train and experience new worlds.

"Hey X, where's your friend?" The girl, X, turned and looked behind her at the twins she unfortunately trained alongside.

"He went around town." She told them straight forward. The twin stood over her, both of them much older than her, both 16 years old, they had deep green eyes and black hair.

X was a little on the short side, with reddish pink hair, almost like a strawberry blonde. Her eyes though were the most unique reflecting her heart, one eye was yellow gold and the other bright blue. She stood up and faced them.

"Aren't you two supposed to be practicing?" She asked them.

"We're done for the night and now we're heading to our room. It's your turn plus Master Hikaru wants to speak to you." they told her as she sighed and nodded.

"And what else do you want?" She asked them. They both extended their arms and summonsed their key blades.

"You're only getting through if you can beat us." Sasuke spoke out as Sakura grinned and laughed. X lowered her head not wanting to fight. She hated fighting. She only believed in fighting when she had a purpose. She shook her head.

"Do your worst, I'm not going to fight you." X told them.

"Pathetic, however such a weak being like you could be the ultimate weapon, is unknown to us." Sakura stated.

"Weakling..." Sasuke said as they both swung their keyblade at her and she lost her footing and fell off the roof of the dome before being caught by her keyblade master.

"Master Hikaru! I..." She was not one to try and get the twins in trouble because that meant worst for her in the future,

"Save it, X. I know. Now I need to speak to you." He told her as he let her stand on her own and they walked into the dome. "Have you made any consideration for who you wish to have wield you when the time comes?" He asked her. She lowered her head and shook her head.

"Master Hikaru, I don't even want to become a weapon. I don't want to be wielded by somebody and give them ultimate power. I don't want this power, I don't want to fight!" She exclaimed.

"X, I know, but that's you're destiny. Now Ansem the Wise has set up potential wielders for you to meet while I train with Rozel." He told her.

"I don't want any of them. I don't even know them. Why do I need to make this decision now?" She asked.

"Because X, darkness is growing. Ansem the Wise said he can feel it worst here. That's why we're here, that's why he asks for you, that's why he's gone out of his way to chose a potential wielder for you." He told her looking up and noticing Rozel approaching.

"Why so I can save him. For all I know one of these potential wielders are dark beings like his one apprentice I sense." X crossed her arms. She noticed Rozel. "Do your training with him, I'm going for a walk on my own..." X said.

"X, if you're not going, you're going to help and train with Rozel." X turned around and sighed. She hated having to help train with Rozel. It was because she hated him, if anything it was the exact opposite. She would be asked to duel against him and naturally she hated fighting, but fighting somebody she loved as her best friend and them being orders of her keyblade master, she had to do it. Rozel in complete truth was weak, he was very unskilled as a keyblader, however he has a very bright heart, and that's why when he was 5, he went through a keyblade inheritance ceremony. X was 5 at the time and was there to watch it.

 

"As a team? Using magic?" X asked surprise. Though she was fairly good when it came to her keyblade, she was unexperienced with magic, the only reason was it would get out of control and sometimes to hard to handle.

"Who exactly are we going to be facing?" X asked. Master Hikaru smiled and turned to see a wizard come walking in.

"X, Rozel, this is Merlin, the resident wizard. He will be feeding you your opponents, these opponents can only be defeated with magic." Master Hikaru exclaimed.

"If you both are ready." The wizard, Merlin, spoke out as what appeared to be regular house hold items appeared floating around.

X stood there confused and looked at Rozel to see what his reaction was to this. She looked back at the items puzzled by them but her keyblade appeared to be ready to use magic to fight.

 

X turned to Rozel and nodded. She extended her hand to shake his. She knew him for a while but they never did train together. Usually she watched as Rozel would get attacked by Sakura and Sasuke getting beaten up badly. X herself would train with her master(though herself getting beaten up pretty badly).

"When you two are ready, you may begin." Master Hikaru spoke out. X didn't waste anytime when she ran into battle casting a simple lightning/thunder spell at a floating book.

 

X glanced back seeing Rozel doing fairly well as she continued only for him to get whacked with a book. She turned her keyblade and pointed it at the book casting a fire spell and it burned to dust.

"Heads up!" She shouted to him as a chair was coming next. She went back to going after the ones slowly closing in around her.



After a while of training the objects seize flying returning to their spot in the room.

"Very good you two. Rozel I'd like to speak to you in private, X you are dismissed." X looked at Rozel surprised.

"Master Hik-"

"Have a good night, X." Master Hikaru said to her smiling at her. She stood there stricken back some and confused. After training meeting was always reserved for them. She sighed realizing she is his student just as Rozel, Sakura, and Sasuke.

X nodded her head bowing some before hurrying out of the training space. She walked through the castle, not being there for long she knew every nook and cranny of it anyways. She came to one of the towers of the castle. Set up as an astronomy tower, it's function acted as their home. She walked towards the door which was set up as her room, it was a small little study. She opened the door seeing Sakura sitting on one of the two cots set up.

"What took your training so long. Too hard to grasp? Or couldn't you fight?" Sakura mocked.

"Shut up, Sakura." X mumbled before climbing on to her cot.

 

"X I have high expectations for, and you as well if you believe it or not. If she will admit it or not, there's an area in the light of her heart she lacks, and you are strong on that side. X does not know how to love and care, she lost her family, she didn't have anybody else. I've since then have become the only family she has, but even then I sense she does not always trust me. Rozel show her that you care, that she can trust others and love others. She needs to learn this if she is to one day fulfill her destiny." Master Hikaru told him.

"X I'm sure in return will help you become stronger as well, but the important thing is teaching her how to love, Rozel I'd never chose anybody better for the task." Master Hikaru told him laying a hand on the boy's shoulder.

 

A few days would past for the group and the time for them to move on eventually came.

X stood at the edge of town a way from the others looking up at the night sky of Radiant Garden. Master Hikaru were speaking to the man who allowed them to stay, Ansem the Wise.

"You know, sometimes it helps to open your heart to others." X was startled and turned around seeing the wizard dressed in blue, Merlin. She nodded and turned back around.

"I know your story. Your parents I knew as well. To my understanding when Master Yen Sid would pay your parents and you a visit you were quite friendly with him. Since your parents death, you seemed to have locked your heart away." Merlin spoke.

"Yeah... they were my only family. I try to accept others but I can't, Master Hikaru I think is the only one I can accept, but even then..."

"You're afraid of losing those who grow close to you?" Merlin asked. She nodded her head slightly. "Do not be afraid, besides if you're to grow stronger, you need to accept love and friendship." Merlin told her.

"Yeah, maybe..." She said before hearing Merlin sigh.

"Well it was nice to meet you grown up, X." Merlin said before walking away.

 

X turned and looked at him.

"It feels elementary still to me. I'm supposedly some powerful being, the child of a pure light and dark, but I'm being trained weak stuff." X told him.

She continued to look at the sky before glancing at him realizing he wasn't going to be leaving anytime soon.

"How your training?" She asked him despite for the past few days the two of them were being trained together.




"So Hikaru, where is your next stop?" Merlin asked.

"Yen Sid. I'm leaving those two alone with him for a while. Force them to train and grow closer. I think those two would be good for each other, be the perfect duo as wielder and blade. Their hearts- or rather X's old and current dormant heart- would be good together. A great combo, a strong friendship, and powerful love." Hikaru said smiling back at the two. X's blue and yellow eyes still showed a fierce angry look in them, but deep down he could see the truth and he hoped Rozel will help pull it out.

"Well we'll hope for the best. I'd like to see what power those two will unleash in the future." Ansem the Wise spoke. before walking away. Merlin nodded.

"I hope to stay in touch with you and Master Yen Sid. I wish you luck though and I hope they will grow as one." Merlin said before also leaving. Hikaru turned around looking over at X and Rozel and off to the side Sakura and Sasuke.

"Time for us to go. Suit up and follow me." Hikaru stated. X turned around and raised her hand up to a metal plate on her arm. Her body lit up and as it came down she had on armor.

X looked over and noticed Sakura and Sasuke in similar armor but their armor was purple and black versus her red and yellow.

She watched as her master summoned his keyblade and it turned into a jet looking flying machine. He quickly jumped onto it and took off into flight Sakura and Sasuke following on there's combined as a double bike looking thing. She summoned hers next jumping on...

She followed close behind the rest keeping quiet though looking for the familiar recognition of where they're going.

 

X saw as they descended towards a town but as they got closer she realized there was a tower on a separate piece of land separated from the town. She looked closer but soon they landed and she jumped off her keyblade wind glider and her keyblade transformed back into her keyblade. Her armor disappeared and she looked up and to her surprise saw Master Yen Sid standing there.

"Master Yen Sid?!" She exclaimed in a whisper shocked. She plus Sakura, Sasuke, and Master Hikaru bowed down in front of him.

"X, have you grown since the last time I've seen you. The last time I saw you, you were half your height, strength, and appeared so innocent. Now I look at a young adolescent beginning to explore the world yet appears to have seen so much." X looked up quickly at Master Yen Sid. She would admit the last time she did see him she was 5 now she was 13.

"It's an honor to see you too, Master Yen Sid." She didn't know how to respond to what to say.


"Sakura, Sasuke. We will be spending time in Twilight Town before we will be going to Sunset Horizon. X and Rozel you will be staying here with Master Yen Sid. Rozel your magic is your strength and it and everything else I discussed with you, you will be training. X it's time to start your official X-Blade training." Upon hearing that news of her X-Blade training her eyes widened.

"You're not going to train me?" X asked shock. He shook his head.

"The X-Blade training you will be going through... I'm not strong enough to train you. It is rather tough training." He told her.

"How long?" X asked upset that he would not be training her.

"It comes down to how well you do." Master Yen Sid stated. "Also how well, Rozel does." X looked over at Rozel confused.

"What's he got to do with anything?" X asked crossing her arms.

"You will learn in due time."

 

Yen Sid started heading inside before X stopped and looked back at Master Hikaru.

"You are coming back, right?" X asked, however not with her typical sarcastic angry tone. More of a sad and lonely tone, a bit of worry in there as well. Master Hikaru sighed and smiled walking up to her and kneeling down in front of her a hand on her shoulder.

"I am your master, and though I never said it to them face to face, but I promised your parents I'd take care of you and try to be as close a family to you as I can." He told her. X felt tears come to her eyes before quickly turning so nobody could see her.

'X, you know I lost my family too, holding those emotions in and trying to create this tough exterior isn't good, I'd wish you'd learn that. I will be back when you're training it completed here, I'll even stop periodically to check in. And you definitely bet I will check with Master Yen Sid weekly on the two of you.' Master Hikaru told her mentally.

"Also, X. Let this be a chance to open up your heart." Master Hikaru said before turning to Sakura and Sasuke. "Let's go you two, we have a lot of work ahead of us."

X turned around watching the three fly off. She sighed before running after Rozel and Master Yen Sid into the tower.


OOC: I think the three fairies should be involved in this, if you want to control those since it seems you're struggling with the one character.

 

X caught up quickly and looked over at the three fairies.

"Rozel, X this is Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather. They have prepared you a room." Yen Sid spoke sitting down at the desk in the room they currently stood in. He flicked his hand as two books came forward one floating in front of X and Rozel.

"Those are book of spells, study them well and you will learn the spell. Careful though, many spells you need much more experience. Now then you can go to your room and rest. We shall start training early in the morning." Yen Sid said before standing up and fading away. X looked at where he once sat before turning and looking at the three fairies.
