So about Vanitas...

...Sentiment...

No this isn't one of those threads where call this fight impossible and cry for dying like a little bitch. All i have are some questions regarding this guy.

So basically heres whats going on, Im on my lvl 50 ish Aqua trying to beat Vanitas Sentiment. I know i have to run around and throw mines wich has definately helped, I also know you should hit him in the beginning of the battle to prevent him from entering his black ball of death.

HOWEVER...
Is it just me or is there some luck involved in the beginning of the fight? It seems half the time he'll jump to the side instead of backwards, in wich case he charges right back at me with a counter.

And the bigger question...
What do i do when he enters his black ball?!
I've dodged and dodged and dodged but he always hits me... Do i just suck or am i missing something here?

Hey thanks for the reply, will try that though i think i'll be too panicked too even understand what hes doing, I'm too busy trying to find an opening to heal myself and if not, Im just trying to get away ;P

I also thought he was impervious to any kind of attack when he was in the ball but hey!
Oh and i'm currently playing through Ventus' campaign on Critical Mode ( without the Zero EXP thing though )
I enjoy it more than standard, something i also noticed when i beat Terra's story on proud. But i know i'll never beat stuff like MF, VS, and arena in a million years on those modes.

 

Thanks alot for your tips m8. I noticed it going a little better.
I had him down to 1/4 twice now, Spellweaver sometimes was rly helpful. Mine Square also seemed to work alot better than Seeker Mines. Unless you know if Mine Shield is EVEN better? I haven't tried it personally.
HOWEVER... I'm sorry but i still don't get the black ball thing, i dropped mines but he just ignored them and continued his onslaught ;S

Hehe... and i used to be proud of myself for beating Terranort on proud mode xD

 

I said i USED TO BE proud D;

It was the first time i ever even attempted hard mode ( they always kinda scare me in video games )
All i can say is i suck at the games i guess xD

( the reason i kept getting pwnd by black ball of death was because i was using a level 1 cartwheel! Stupid isnt it )

I'll spare you the gory details of my reaction when i did it ( seriously my hands are still shaking though ).
Plus you'' probably all just laugh at me for being so happy bout beating this guy on Standard xD
