I don't think I totally understand the premise of this RP anymore. I think you're overdoing the whole "keep things under control" thing.

I am going off of some of what you had said. Also, I did took off some of the limitations that you thought would be hard on roleplayers and I was able to let people expand their horizons even more. Even so, there should at least SOME control but your "Number of Posts" idea was more of a "Keep things under control" from the way I see it since it actually lowers everyone's speed growth and they will have to post so many times just in order to acquire a class, ability or spell. As for the class part, if you still cannot understand it, then there is nothing else that I can do to make it any more clear. I will take off some more limits on the evolutionary classes but that will be basically it. The only ones who is giving in their inputs are just you and Moog but I would need more input.

However, there is one more thing that I can allow. The member themselves can have their own special ability if they would like as well if they so choose. Would that work?

The class system would do better to be more of a generalized classification for a character (IE have Warriors, Mages, and probably Summoners as "classes") and then have different types within that class. For example, if you had a warrior class, it might look a little bit like this...

    Warrior (Class)
    - Brawler/Fighter/Martial Artist/Whatever (Type flow within class).
    - Thief/Bandit/Assassin/Etc (Type flow within class).

Something like that might be better for organizing and actually having each class' evolutions build on where they previously were. Like a thief is just sort of pick-pocket sort of person, a bandit would be more like a highway man or mobster/bank heist sort of person, and that chain would be able to reach a sort of assassin status, and that would lead into being a ninja. Along the way they'd be able to meld with other classes through learning abilities within magic and such.

But the big reason why I'd rather not even bother with any sort of class system is just thinking of what we want this RP to be focused on. Do we want it to be a non-stop chain of fighting and recovering? Or do we really want this to be more of a get together and just interact with people in an open/sandbox environment? I think the simpler, and quicker thing to do with this would be to designate a power tier that starting characters need to fall into, but let the players determine how that level of power is expressed within their character. For example, having every character start with Olympic/Peak human abilities, Player A might decide that their character is the strong man who can bench press four hundred pounds without breaking a sweat, while Player B might opt to say that their character is one such that can clock in a three minute mile.

??? The roleplay was supposed to be both; for fighting and socializing. As for the class system, the one I had at first is the one you are describing now but when I stated it along that line, you started saying that it is not so clear and you did not even understood anything so I decided to just do the base/evolution/supreme list like that in that order and allow anyone to pick any base classes that they would like to have. If that is how you want it to be, then this is what I would suggest as a chain:

Warrior- Paladin/Dark Knight/ Mystic Knight/Dragoon-Required for Certain Supreme
Fighter/Boxer-Monk/ Street Fighter/Leg Breaker/ Karate Wrestler- Required for Supreme
    Mage- Wizard/Witch/Elementalist/ Geomancer/PuppetMaster/etc.- Certain Supreme
Thief- Street Fighter/ Ninja/ Joker- Required for Certain Supreme
Supporter- Joker/Maker/ Gambler etc- Required for Certain Supreme
Inventor- Maker/Mechanic- Required for Certain Supreme
Shooter- (Depends if they are physical, magic or status-inflicting. Would fall under the Warrior, Mage or Supporter line)- Required for Certain Supreme
Pet Lover- Dragoons/ Wizard/Witch/Copy Cat- Required for Certain Supreme

But if I did that, then certainly you would complain that it would be complicated.

In any case, my belief is that the fighting should be placed in the back seat. All one needs to do is set a few maximums on where the powers can be. Like, in the end, people will be allotted so many powers, or something like that. All I'm really saying is that there's no reason to over-define things and break them down so much it seems that they are. People are certain to do that on their own anyways.

Hm...ok. Then that is a deal.... I think that I will just cross out the whole system thing and will just let everyone do whatever they like. As for abilities however, I will develop something else.

Like I said, don't worry so much about defining what a character can do, but to what extent they can do it. Think the difference between, say, being able to throw a fireball at someone and being able to torch a whole building. I can give you a more detailed system if you'd like; in fact, there's one I've seen used that I've been wanting to adapt into the Arena here anyways.

So, a thought for the setting for this RP...

KHPlanet exists as large world dominated chiefly by a massive, sprawling city. While there are many places in the fine details, the general idea would be (in theme of my thoughts of representing the forums) would be as follows...

Downtown (Representative of KH Games/Other RPG Games forums) - The heart of the city, where most of the action goes down. Probably the most crowded area of the city as well. If you're looking for the skyscrapers and office buildings, the hotels and high profile places, then this is the place to be.

City Center (representing the community forums, such as Introductions, Announcements and such) - Basically, this is the center seat of the government on KHPlanet. Places such as the city hall, and the main "welcome center" can be found here. Most often, if you're looking for a safe place to be, then you'll want to go here.

Art District (AKA Creative Corner) - Wanna see where movies are made? How about visit a museum? Or maybe you'd prefer to catch a concert somewhere? Whatever it is, you'll find it here. So long as it requires some level of creativity, then there's no short supply of it in the Art District.

Outer City (Off Topic forums representation) - No less important than the Downtown or City Center areas, but not quite as centralized. This is where the night life of KHPlanet is found most dominantly. Night clubs, casual to high-brow restaurants, the occasional bar or tavern, and various other places of social life can be found in abundance. It's also here in which the lawless slums of the city can be accessed.

The Suburbs/The Burbs (AKA... member profiles?) - Just outside the city, the suburbs are the primary places of residence for many city dwellers. Most of the people who have been around the city for a while have managed to move up to suburban living.

Those are just a few thoughts on it. More like notes I've jotted in my head.

And the sports center/gym would be the Roleplay area, no?

I never thought of that. I'd be inclined to maintain that it would coincide more to the art district. This is all just a way of "personifying" the forums, so to speak.

Not to be a pain, but this RP, somehow, needs to happen. Why? Because it has the potential to be a good, open world RP, which is exactly what this RP section needs.

I was thinking on this but I never did get to it. I accept what the places that the two of you had added into it but I will also throw in some other places in there too:

KH Coliseum (Represents the Arcade and RP Arena): This is where many players are welcome to come here and compete against each other for many titles, excitement and to have fun. There are also tournaments for powerful brawls too. The KH Coliseum Also hold Training rooms so that people can practice and hone on their skills or if they are beginners in fighting and the like.

The Link Building(Represents the Main Site itself) : This is where people are able to use portals to travel out of KHPlanet and go to another world. Sometimes, the portals are closed either because of emergencies, maintenance, wars or invasion. The Link Building is also where people are able to pick up and receive information on anything current or what has already happened.

VB Store (Represents the VBExperience): This is where you come and do your shopping. Anything may pop up and may be at a reasonable price. There is also a rumor of three ancient relics that will come and bestows itself on the user but since the three has a will of its own, it can switch back and forth between its chosen whenever it wants.

As for the abilities themselves, this is what I had came up with:

    1. When you first start off, you have seven abilities. However, as you win battles, you can gain new slots so that you can have more access to more abilities.

    Win System:

2 wins: 1 ability slot gained
7 wins: Another ability slot gained.
    10 wins: Weapon gets stronger
    15 wins: More munny.
20 wins: A chance to take on a special quest and have your weapon enhanced and get stronger.
25 wins: A chance to have another type of weapon.

The win system is just a trial version that I had thought up so it is not all done and said.

I would still say that there should be more ways to develop a character's abilities beyond the channel of winning fights. I will also continue to advocate that we place restrictions on how powerful abilities can be at the start.

Haven't paid much attention to this, but briefly looking back at it I think it seems fun. Although since it would be an RP about the site I've got a question that probably doesn't matter nor has it been brought up before. What about us staff members? Would there be any difference between us and regular members?

My thoughts, personally, after reading through the limit on number of abilities, is that we could lessen that number based on where a player stands on the forum. I know it seems prejudice against the people who are newer or haven't posted/been able to post as much. But I was thinking it'd be something to the effect of...

Normal Member (Under 1,000 posts) = 3 abilities, maybe?
    Elites = 4 abilities
    VETS = 5 abilities
    Section Mods = 6 abilities
    Super Mods = 7 abilities
Admins = OVER NI- I mean, maybe start with like 8 abilities?

But I don't know, mainly because it's a given that there won't be representation from each member group, and maybe it would be better to start things off with everyone on a roughly even playing field. Either way, I would suggest allowing more to the effect of 3 or 4 abilities at base, keep them weak to begin with, and eventually build them up and gain new ones. That way there's more reasonable growing space. Granted, that also depends on what we mean by abilities. If it's more along the lines of something equivalent to Pokemon attacks, or the typical Kingdom Hearts spell/ability system, then more is better, since most of said abilities would be drawing from a very focused pool of effects and uses.

I'll also suggest that, for a start, that everyone might only have one ability active outside the proposed "Arena" area. That maybe most abilities don't become active until one steps into the ring. Just for starters, so that there aren't loads of people running around shooting fire and making tornados all over the place first thing in the RP.

The problem I have is that I do not want someone to have some big, ultra power right off the bat. As for the Admin part, I highly doubt that Vox or Kitty will even roleplay anyways so I think we should scratch that off (Unless they come here and surprise me). Now as for status such as VET and Elite, I can give permission to have a CERTAIN number of special ability or a CERTAIN BONUS to what they can gain base on their status. As for abilities, I was thinking more along the Kingdom Hearts and Pokemon system.
