    "Seems I over did it a bit...damn!" swore Teru. He tore off a bit of his sleeve and used it to make a makeshift bandage. Teru scooped Yuuta into his arms and ran as fast as he could to the Academies hospital. as he passed his second blade he grabbed it with his right hand and placed it back in it's sheath with the other. He also removed the Mask of Water.

    Teru ran fast, he had to get Yuuta some help before he lost too much blood.

    "What just happened out there?" said Kitsune as he heard something rustling.
    Kitsune goes out and finds out Teru running.

    "Teru, is that Yuuta? Just let me give him.. some help." said Kitsune has he putted his Thundara back.

    Teru stopped as Kitsune offered his help.

    "Sorry, but we don't have a lot of time! Yuuta needs medical attention right now, I bandaged the wound but he's still bleeding fast. I need to hurry and get him to the hospital!" said Teru. "You can come with me if you want, but keep up ok!"

    "Nothing much. Are you here to see Lorelei too?" Alexis asked. She knew the answer before it came out of his mouth. Of course he's here to see her. There were five other libraries in the entire castle that every student could benefit instead of having to travel an enormous distance just to look up a few things. This particular library was private. It wasnt off limits to the students but it was nearly almost occupied by Lorelei and nonone wanted to disturb a god if they could help it.

    I wonder what he needs to see Lorelei about. I bet he's jkust like all the rest and just wants knowledge about how to raise his power.

    Alexis waved the thought from her head. People like that disgusted her and put her in a temporary bad mood but she couldnt let it take hold of her now. She ripped herslef from her thoughts and focused on the boy in front ofher and waited for his response.

    He nodded, then wondered what he was actually going to see Lorelei about. It wasn't normal for him to want to disturb a God for a trivial reason.
    There has to be a reason as to why I was restless this morning. It couldn't be that dream I had two nights ago... could it?, he thought.

    Luke's Dream

    Lifeless corpses were splashed around the city. Another tornado had struck the island his mother was on for a business trip. No one on that island stood a chance- no one except his mother. For some reason, his mother had survived.

    ''My, my, you're a tough one, aren't you?'' An ominous feminine figure spoke in the midst of the ruined village, ''Surviving that tornado. Anyone would think that you're one of them.'' It was obvious the figure was very, very amused. A ball of fire tore through the air. It was easily evaded by Luke's mother.

    ''    Very interesting indeed. Well then, let's just see how long you can keep that up, shall we?'' The figure said smoothly and innocently, as if she was asking to play a harmless game. The air became twenty degrees hotter.

    The dream flickered out, as if it were a television screen being turned off, and Luke's dream ended.


    That's it. Luke thought, That's the reason why I wanted to see Lorelei. I want to... I want to know the truth.
    ''I'm going to Lorelei to learn about my family history- there's something I need to know.'' He said rather vaguely, ''Why are you going?''

    Hm, well he's hiding something, no doubt about that but i guess its none of my business. Not like i give a shit anyway. Alexis put some of her weight on her left leg and leaned on it as she looked past the boy and at the large marble and oak library doors. What to say...ooh i know.

    "Well im going to see her cause i got a few questions about the masks and us being bound to them. And the only reason i told you that cause i guess it could affect the other students too." Well thats part of the truth anyway. "Well come on, lets get in there before someone else decides to show up. Faster I get the answers i need the faster I can get on with my damn life."
    Alexis readjusted herself and walked up to the boy till she was beside him. "Hey, whats ya name anyway kid?"

    I coulda sworn she hesitated just then, but I'm probably just seeing things., Luke observed.
    ''Name's Luke. And you are?'' The two walked through the Library doors. It was empty, inhabited by no one except, of course, the Godess Lorelei. ''Oh, you go first, I can wait.'' He gestured with his eyes to Lorelei.

    Kasumi lit a very small flame in the middle of a forest.
    ''A small flame should do the trick. Oh how I love forest fires. Oh, just thinking about the amount of people this one flame will affect makes my heart flutter!'' She grinned.

    Something shone bright red in the distance, ''Oh? Is that what I think it is?'' She strolled over and picked it up delicately,seeing that it was, in fact, what she thought it would be,''A flame enhancing shard. Heh. I think I'll keep this. It might come in handy later on.'' She levitated away from the empty forest, leaving the flame to spread.

    Teru got Yuuta to the hospital in one piece, leaving him in the care of the medical staff. Outside Teru sank to the ground. He felt terrible. He had been the one to cause this. It was his own damn fault Yuuta got hurt like that.

    "Damn it! I should've held back! Not many people can withstand that attack! what the hell was I thinking!?!" Teru yelled at himself. Teru got up and began to walk around aimlessly. He came across the library and decided to lose himself in Mythology. Maybe it would help ease his nerves?

    Inside he spotted Alexis and another boy. almost on auto-pilot Teru went over and greeted them half-heartedly. still upset from the beating he had given Yuuta.

    "Sure, then." Kitsune replied. Kitsune followed Teru and he also sees Alexis with another boy.
    "Is that Luke?" Kitsune questioned. Kitsune said as he looked Alexis with Luke.
    "Well, are you okay Yuuta?" said Kitsune as he held his neck.
    "Your hot." Kitsune said as he felt his neck warm. Kitsune sits at a coach.

    "I'm Alexis but you can call me Lex for short.” said Alexis who then gave off a genuine smile.

    "Oh ok cool thanks.” said Alexis. She gave him a small wave and he returned it and walked down a random isle of books. Once she felt she was alone she walked down the center path of the library. She passed row after row of books, mentally making notes to come back and check out the ones that had caught her eyes. Unlike other students, she wasn’t afraid to come here. Alexis was on relatively good speaking terms with Lorelei and knew she wouldn’t mind her visiting as long as she went by her rules. Alexis finally reached the end of the library which took her 15 minutes to trek. She walked a little further till she was only a couple of inches from the wall. Bringing her arm up and pressing her hand against the wall, the wall gave off a bluish glow and then shifted and folded inwards. Another pathway presented itself. I swear, she needs to stop putting herself so far in this damn place.

    Alexis walked down the new path and started to see the outline of a figure sitting on a throne, legs crossed and book in lap. She got closer and the features started becoming clear. Golden hair that fell well past her shoulder, a light tan that rivaled the sand, rectangle shaped glasses, and eyes that seemed to hold no color whatsoever but were neither black or white. Before Alexis could give a greeting and not even looking up from her book, Lorelei spoke.

    "Is an idea a true copy of the real thing that it represents?"

    "Sensation is not a direct interaction between bodily objects and our sense, but is a physiological process involving representation." Alexis responded while making her way up to Lorelei and finding a seat next to her. Lorelei looked up and smiled. "Good, you've been studying" she said while closing her book and setting it aside.

    Not like i have a choice, you'll just ignore me unless i give you a good answer.
    "I heard that"

    "Oh I know you did, that’s why I thought it", Alexis retorted. Lorelei looked like she was going to retaliate but she didn’t do anything. A small smile graced her lips before quickly vanishing and sitting back in her chair and turning her head to Alexis. “So what’s up? What’s on your mind this time?”

    Alexis never quite got use to how a goddess would talk to her like she was a teen herself but she remembered that she only does that so she could get her to relax. “I’ve been bothered with dreams lately and they’re becoming more frequent. Every single time it involves me fighting-” Alexis gave a bitter laugh. “It’s more of a game to them than a real fight. In the dreams my powers are gone and I’m constantly defeated. I was wondering did these dreams have something to do with my mask.

    Lorelei looked at Alexis with a raised eyebrow. “Why would you think that?” she asked. “Cause, ever since I got the mask that allowed me to connect with people minds I’ve had the dreams. And yeah I know, we don’t know the full capabilities of each mask but we’re your test subjects but shouldn’t you know something? I mean, what if my mask is like a two way mirror. I can see into anyone’s mind and so can anyone else who has the same ability.”

    Lorelei turned her head and looked off into space. The look on her face gave the impression she was contemplating the weight of the world or the fate of the human race. It was sometime before her eyes came back into focus and her gaze returned to Alexis. “I wouldn’t say that your “two-way mirror” theory is impossible but it is highly unlikely. It could just be an unforeseen side effect.” Lorelei paused for a minute. “Although the only beings other than Belial and I that possess such a power is Eternia who is in the Azure plane and Melchid, the beast of a thousand faces whose whereabouts are currently unknown. But I don’t believe she holds enough power to do what you claim is happening while you’re asleep.”

    “And why is that? Didn’t you teach me and the other students that it’s been nearly a thousand years since you’ve seen her? She could’ve grown much more powerful since then. And plus, wasn’t it you who told me never underestimate your opponent or it would be your downfall or is it just a matter of you not practicing what you preach?” Alexis knew she was out of line but she needed answers and she wasn’t in the mood to be given the run around.

    Lorelei just merely looked at her. Her hard gaze was enough to send chills down Alexis’ back but she held her ground. Lorelei eyes went in and out of focus again. “The reason why I say that Melchid is an unlikely cause is because I understand how my little brother thinks.”

    Alexis was confused. what does Reshef have to do with this?

    “I’ll tell you” Lorelei said as she got up, stretched and began to pace back and forth.

    “Will you stop reading my mind already?” Alexis asked slightly annoyed.

    “Will you stop acting like I can’t? And talk to me with the mouth you were born with and can’t seem to shut up with? Lorelei calmly replied back, continuing her even pace. Alexis was taken aback for a few minutes. Lorelei never insulted her.

    “As I was saying, Reshef is predictable. He wouldn’t add someone to his ranks if they were capable of becoming more powerful than him. He was a brilliant strategist and even more brilliant at philosophy but was terrible in war which is extremely ironic seeing how that’s what war basically was or still is to this day. Ah he was such a controversial character.”

    “So, because he chose people who were weaker than him then Melchid is incapable of being a threat? I’m sorry but that sounds like a load of crap.” Lorelei’s head snapped towards Alexis with a warning gaze. But Alexis didn’t care. “That’s just like saying because I used to be a cripple I would never amount to anything. Well look at me now.” Alexis stood up and did a back flip which had her land in front of Lorelei. “I’m one of the best you have and continue to surpass the “limitations” of your experimental masks and soul chains. You can’t define anyone except by the actions they take and because of my actions I’m here today doing what I and all the others are doing. So don’t tell me just because Melchid hasn’t proven herself as threat that she can’t be seen as or is one. I thought because you were a celestial god that you were to be enlightened and be able to assess every possibility without prejudice!!” Alexis shouted.

    Lorelei just stood there seemingly unfazed by the outburst.

    “Well….are you just going to stand there or are you going to give me an answer?” asked Alexis while folding her arms. Lorelei let a small sigh and walked back up to her throne and sat down and pulled her right leg up so she places her chin on her knee.

    “Are you done?”

    Once again Alexis was taken aback but only for a brief second. “Yeah I am.”

    “Good because we have to cut our conversation short because you and some of your peers are needed elsewhere.”
    Ugh there she goes again changing the subject. Lorelei raised her eyebrow as if saying “really”

    Alexis let out an embarrassed laugh and apologized. “Anyway, what’s so important that it involves me and everyone else?”

    “Well belial just sent a telepathic message that he received from I.S.T.G saying that a large amount of spiritual energy is being detected from a concentrated location on earth. The exact whereabouts are in a state called Virginia. It could either be an awakening of another Minarai or the Kanja.

    “Whoa” Alexis mumbled under her breath. I.S.T.G stood for Information Spiritual Tech Guru which was a nickname given to him by some of the other students. He was a man of extraordinary talents and resided in the watch tower. He was the person to go to if you wanted to find info on a missing person or to keep an eye out on anyone on earth. For some time now he has been working on a program that would allow him to pin point the exact coordinates of Kanja or newly awakened Minarai. Doing this would give us the advantage in this war so we wouldn’t have to waste time searching for miles when we could be transported right then and there. It was shocking to hear he had finally solved that problem.

    “So if what you say is true then what are we waiting for? Let’s do this.”

    “Patience Lex. I must first gather up the students who will be going with you as your team. And before you say anything; no they will not slow you down. You all will all balance each other out quite nicely actually.” Lorelei said this and pushed her glasses up with her fore finger and allowing a smile to grace her face once again. “So without any further hesitation.” Lorelei grew quiet and her eyes let out a reddish glow and just as quickly it appeared it disappeared.
    “I sent out a message to everyone. They should be arriving shortly. So what were we talking about?”

    “Uhh my dream, duh”

    “Right right, please continue”

    Alexis picked back up where she left off and they began their conversation one again as they waited for the others to meet up with them.

Luke thought out loud, ''Alrighty then. To Lorelei.''

    He made his way through the central path, the path to Lorelei, eager to find out what was going on and who he'd be paired with. Lucas, Lucas, you shouldn't be excited about this. This could be serious., he scolded himself, I mean, I'm obviously not the only one who got that message. A team of the more powerful Minarai like me are gonna be sent on this mission, obviously, he thought. After 10 minutes or so of jogging, he made it to what usually would be a dead end- the passage way must have been opened already by Alexis.
    ''Yay. More walking. I'll be half unconscious by the time I get there.'', he muttered under his breath. He walked down the new path and soon began to see the outline of two figures, one sitting on a throne and one standing next to the other figure. Looks like I'm pretty early., he walked closer so that he could see Alexis and Lorelei and they could see him.

    Luke waited for a pause in Alexis and Lorelei's conversation before he greeted the Godess,''Good morning Lorelei.''
    ''You're early, Lucas. Good morning.'' Lorelei replied.
    ''Hey Lex.'' he greeted Alexis with a small smile.

    >Luke's name is Lucas, but of course, everyone calls him Luke.<

    "Hey Luke. I see you got the message. You ready for whatever were about to be sent into?" Alexis asked while taking a seat on the steps that led up to Lorelei's throne. Alexis was kinda irritated that Lorelei was being so ignorant to an obvious fact. It had been nearly a thousand years since Melchid had been seen or heard of. Its to be expected that she would grow stronger in that time frame. But Lorelei just wont see to reason.

    Its as if she's hiding something. Alexis gave a sideways glance at the Goddess and then looked back at Luke, waiting for his answer.

    Eclipse saw an arrow and it hit him. Eclipse was poisoned, but an antidote was nearby. But Eclipse couldn't feel his legs.
    "I don't feel my legs.. that stupid jerk, he just shot an arrow... RANGE isn't enough for me, can you hear me Kueo!?" Eclipse shouted as it echoes through the wind.
    Eclipse wasn't still feeling his legs. Suddenly, the ball of darkness glowed.
    "I was getting a new power.. fool.. It's time to pay." Eclipse angrily frowns at the door and he shot a corrupted knife at it.

    Kitsune was expecting them, but Kitsune leaved Teru and Yuuta.
    "Guys, just wait for me. Yuuta, just rest.. you can't feel anger again still."
    Kitsune leaved the library.
    I probably forgot something..... 4 important things that I always bring on my life.
    Kitsune rushed to his room and he saw Furume, his glowing pen and his diary.
    "Where are the other things?" Kitsune looked under the computer desk and found nothing.
    Kitsune shuts the running computer down. Kitsune looks at his collection, he found his Elixir which he saved since when he was a child, his father given him a Elixir.
    But suddenly, Kitsune's chest shoots a blue fire.
    "What the?" Kitsune was surprised he never expected a different happening stranger than the bad happenings before.
    But the fire didn't hurt him. Kitsune's chest was flaming with blue fire, eventually it made him stronger.
    "I need to tell everybody.." said Kitsune as he goes to the hall.

    To Blackrose:>Let's just pretend that the steps are 5 inches high. Luke is five inches taller than Alexis, so if he sits on the step below her they'll be equal in height.<

    ''So who else is coming?'' He asked casually. He and Lorelei were on moderately good terms, so he wasn't as afraid of her as the other students.
    ''That would be... Teru Aisawa, Yuuta Takeda, Kitsune Tadamachu and Masaru Yamada will all be going with you.''
    ''I see.'' Luke nodded.
    He took a seat on the step below Alexis, and they were even in height, ''Let's hope they show up soon, huh?''

    Time to go back to base, Kasumi thought, I wouldn't want to hinder the mistress's big plan...

    "...this is boring..." Yuuta said laying in bed "Hey nurse...heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey nuuuuuuuuuuurse..." he said looking around the room but saw nothing but expensive medical equipment. "...Went on her lunch break...well that means..." he said back flipping out of bed "That I'm free..." he said expecting the wound and changing into a fresh pair of clothes. "Not as deep as I thought...but it'll sting for a while..." he said running to Lorelei.

    Kuro dodged the knife and stuck his tounge a Eclipse "Well that's not very nice !" he said shooting three more arrows and running away. "The smart demon avoids altercations with Mr.Grumpy over there." he thought.

    Kitsune rushed to Lorelei.

    Kitsune bows to Lorelei as a sign of respect and the flame that shoots in Kitsune's eye vanished.
    "Have you called us?" Kitsune said.

    Furume was walking through the hall. Furume stands at a door.

    Eclipse lied down. His eyes were still open, but wasn't breathing. His body is only alive nor his soul.
    "I'm gonna rest for a while.." Eclipse said as he lies a safe rest.

    Yuuta jumped into the room without removing his mask "Sup Lorelei is that a new hairstyle...oh yeah why did you call us here !" Yuuta said jumping up and down "Is it gonna be important ! Is it gonna be dangerous ! OH OH Will there be any Kanja involved !!!!" he said excited and not even aware of the tremendous amount of disrespect he was showing a Deity.
