Why Roxas and Ventus are similar

    I had to make a new thread since the old one had been closed.

    Serious? Haven't you guys been paying any attention the story in BBS whatsoever? My little sister is only 13 and not nearly as good at english as me, and even she can give me a whole talk about why Roxas and Ventus look the same, and who Venitas is for that matter.

    Someone in the old thread suggested that they made Ventus look like Roxas because Roxas is a popular character... remember that Roxas wasn't born yet in BBS? Roxas looks like Ventus because when Ventus loses his hearts at the end of BBS, it calls for Sora, Sora then finds Ventus' heart asking him if it can stay with him, Sora agrees on that and Ventus now becomes part of him. That's why Roxas looks so much like Ventus.

    As for Venitas, someone in the old thread asked what his connection with Sora was, and the answer is none, for what I'm aware of at least. Venitas is just the dark half of Ventus, that Xehanort discovered and wanted Ventus to use, but Ventus wouldn't do that so Xehanort saw no other way than to force the darkness out of him with his keyblade, then naming it Venitas.
    I think the reason why Venitas looks so much like Sora is more for the funny reason that - Roxas looks like Ventus, and Venitas looks like Sora ^^

    yes it is but as great as it was its only real purpose was to set up 3d with the origins of xehannort and the mark of mastery and who terra aqua and ventus are for when sora tries to save them in kh3

    If you ask me, whatever was the "real" purpose of the game it is still a great installment in the series and is on par with all the others.

    Yeh I could not agree more Mudstoise!

    urahara64360 - hmm I don't agree, I believe there was a lot more to it than that, don't really want to go into it in case I spoil it for anyone who has not played it but I loved how you found out how it all started why Sora and Riku can use the keyblades etc. That's the only way I can think of it without spoiling it lol.

    A definite masterpiece the combat is amazing on it, just takes it even further yet again!
    I am looking forward to dream drop distance and then hopefully...finally kingdom hearts 3 (which is looking like it is going to be epic from the way there all building up to it!)

    Hmm... Maybe Vanitas looks like Sora coz maybe the reason Sora let Ventus in to his heart so easily is because he has done it before and like Roxas looking like Ven maybe Vanitas took Sora's appearance. Idk just a little theory i've had for a little while :D

    When did Sora do this before?
    Before Ventus, who else did he let in before this, I can't seem to recall anyone else lol as BBS is before all the other KH games or have I forgotten someone lol

    Nah I don't buy that one ;) Sora let Ventus into his heart because Sora by nature is a nice warmhearted person, besides when he let Ventus into his heart he simply said:
    Ven: "Can I stay with you for a little while?"
    Sora: "Sure, if it'll make you feel better" soooo cute :3

    So I don't think any real reason exists as to why Vanitas looks like Sora.

    I agree, I loved it when that scene came on, with him asking that and sora being the cheerful him was like sure!

    I think he just looks like Sora to make us be like "WHAT?! SORA WHY?!" so we question it and stuff and get a big shock...and when I seen him I got a shock so it kind of fits you know? or it does for me!

    Why did you make a new one again.
    Well, I will remind you.
    Ventus lose his heart, eventually it was given to Sora.
    I think Sora kept it, but then the time when Roxas was born, Sora still had Ventus' heart but the heart was kept in Sora so Roxas looks like Ventus.
    Also, when I play Ventus in KH: BBS I felt like playing Roxas.

    i did too but i like playing as terra more and aqua was good except she couldn't emote at all

    Sora never "kept" Ventus's heart it remained in slumber. The only reason roxas physically and emotionaly resembles Ventus is because when sora released his heart to become a nobody the shell took on the appearance of the heart that was released ( Ventus). remember a nobody is just the shell of the original body. hence why sora was able to maintain himself as a heartless because he still had " his" heart. roxas and sora dont share many qualities but roxas x vanitas do. When ventus went inside of sora this caused his heart to slumber. Not become one with sora in fact if you notice closely the heart is still sleeping inside of sora waiting to be awakened waiting for his " birth by sleep"

    I'm glad I spotted this thread.

    I will start with Ventus first.

    Ventus's heart was damaged when Xehanort split it into pure light and darkness. The Pure Darkness manifested becoming Vanitas. During this time, a new heart was created. It was Sora's hearts. The new heart told Ventus's heart to join with it. Sora's heart supplemented Ventus's damage parts as a result Vanitas resembled Sora.

    Later, Ventus's heart went into suspension within Sora's heart. In the end of KH1, Sora released his heart and the hearts within his own. Roxas was created as a result of Ventus's heart. Possibly, Ventus's heart went within Roxas because Roxas is believed to have a heart. Which would explain Roxas appearance being similar to Ventus.
