A World of Darkness (RP)

Akira awoke to the siren of a police car. At first he thought it was still a part of his nightmare, but it soon became apparent that it was very real. He immediately opened his eyes, and stood up. Scanning the two entrances to the alley he was sleeping in, he looked for any sign that the sirens meant they found him. Nothing. Akira sighed with relief. And so he decided to begin his daily thefts. As he turned to step out of the alleyway a black circle appeared under him and he fell.

Akira opened his eyes as soon as he hit the ground. What he saw was another guy that looked about the same age as him. Then he looked up and saw another circle hanging in the sky. He immediately search his surroundings. That's when he noticed how everything looked broken and old. Akira decided that he would wait until the third person got here to start asking questions.

 

Walking down the street of his old neighborhood Rowen began to reminisce about his days as a kid before he joined the military. Letting out a faint sigh in reaction to his memories as a kid.

"Ahh those were the days" He said to himself as he continued down the street. As he walked Rowen began to think about his child hood and how joining the military made him a better person. When he was a kid Rowen was viewed as a hoodlum and a miscreant. But in the military Rowen was respected and honored. The further he made his way down the road the more he noticed an odd odor in the air. Stopping in his place Rowen sniffed the air trying to gain the smells origin. After a moment Rowen gained its trail, taking off in a burst of speed Rowen made his way down the street where he came across a giant black orb. As he stood their examining it he could feel it pulling him closer and closer. Its as if the orb wanted him specifically.

Rowen feel inside the mysterious orb and falling for what seems like forever Rowen fell to to a place almost identical to the real world. Except this one was much darker and grungier feeling. The lights were all extinguished. The air felt heavy and thick it was difficult for him to breathe. As he looked around Rowen noticed 2 other people near him.

 

As Rowen stood there before the other two a insane amount of questions rushed to his head as he looked around at his new surroundings. As he watched the man walk back and forth examining everything that surrounded them. Rowen gazed around as well trying to use some of his military skill to try and gain some form of barrings. The area did seem familiar but he just could place it.

"Im Rowen special foreces" He said in response to Tians greeting.
"Do you know where we are Tian?" Rowen asked as he walked around in a circle.

 

Akira watched the third guy drop from the hole in the sky. He then looked at both of them. "My name's Akira."
Akira looked around some more and found an old bench to sit on. He wondered to himself about where they were, how they got there, and why they were there. These things were running through his mind as he reached into to his pocket to find a knife that he always had, to find that it was gone. He checked the rest of his pockets for because he wanted to feel safer with it in his hands. Nothing. He scanned the ground where he landed and found nothing. "Damn" he said under his breath so that the other two wouldn't hear.

 

" Who the hell was he?" Akira said loudly. He had so many questions and that was the one that beat the rest to the surface. "Ugh...I hate this place already. And we have survive thirty days with two people we barely know." Akira stood up and walked to the nearest building and kicked the wall. He cursed to himself in pain. "So What do we do now?"

 

Rowen kept his calm as he looked at the other two. He could tell that who or what ever that was really got to them. Rowen made his way over to Tian placing his hand on his shoulder
"Tian we need to get out of here, We should try and find a way out of here" Rowen told Tian as he dropped his hand from his shoulder.
Walking over to the bench that Akira sat at Rowen placed his boot up on it to make sure they were tied tight. Turning back around to Tian
"What ever this place is where not the only ones here" Rowen told Tian.
"Who ever that is he's testing or torturing us and we need a way out of here" Rowen announced to Tian

 

"Is that one of those shadow creature things that that guys told us about?" Akira said as he assessed the situation. He knew if he fought he would not live. He needed a weapon if he hoped to get anywhere. So he decided to stay and fight because he knew if he tried to run it would end badly. He got into a fighting stance, and searched for something he could use for a weapon.

 

Turning his body towards the giant reptilian Rowen got into his fighting stance. If only I had a sword Rowen thought to himself as he readied himself for the upcoming battle.
"We should let him make the first move" Rowen told Tian as he stood beside him for the fight that was about to break out.
"If he makes the first move then we can counter after he gives us an opening" Rowen told the group. Holding his ground Rowen tried calming his nerves so he could react without delay. Serving many years in the military Rowen was accustom to these type of encounters.

 

Akira dashed to the side as three spikes passed right through where he was standing. A fourth spike split the edge of his pant-leg causing him to sprawl to the ground. He Quickly stood up. "I know what you mean, Tian. We gotta get out of here. Were not ready enough. Let's get out of here!!" Akira said as he turned to run down the nearest alleyway...

 

The spikes came rushing at Rowen as he stood their holding his ground for the longest time. As Rowen tried to dodge the spikes one of them punctured his forearm causing the spike to stop just before his face.
"I know what you two mean" Rowen yelled as he ripped the spike from his arm and dodging the other two spikes. Making his way in Akiras direction Rowen dodged another set of spikes as he dashed past Tian.
"We need to be armed if we're going to survive" Rowen yelled as he ran away from the giant reptilian.

 

Rowen turned back to see Tian stopping and gasping for air
" Supplies?" Rowen questioned as he slowly came to a stop a mere few feet away from Tian.
"Your right. We need things to help us at least stand a chance in this new shithole" Rowen chuckled as he gasped for air. WIth each breath the wound he suffered seemed to ease off little by little. Damn those things are fast...and smart Rowen thought to himself.

 

Akira stopped after he heard the other two stop. He turned around and walked back up to hear them talk about getting supplies. He though to himself, "They're right. we wont last five minutes in this place." Then he said out loud. "Where would we find these supplies? Are we to just pick them off the street?" These two questions were important to know before they tried to find anything.

 

Akira eyes examined every inch of the pipe that was handed to him. He knew that this was a great weapon for him to use. He began testing it out against the air, getting a feel for it at the same time. He noticed that it was a bit heavy, but would overall not break at the first swing to make contact with something.
"This is perfect for now. Good spotting it, Tian." Akira said as he was going through different stances. He kept moving from stance to stance until the rest of the group was ready.
