    Made for My A2 portfolio for university interviews.
    My first attempt at concept art, inspired by Gurren Laggan.

    Original peice is much larger, about 8000 x 4000 pixels, CMYK and 300dpi.

    Did the sky first in 1 day, that took me about 14 freaking hours and then started work on the planet the next day. Worked on the planet from left to right and I got fed up after a while... as seen above.

    Amazing, the transition is flawless except for the orange and blue that meet in the middle. The lighting is lovely and spot on. I haven't really done anything like this so I don't really know what to critique on. Other then that it looks brilliant, like a pastel drawing.

    Thanks for the comments, the whole thing took about 25hours on corel painter, its kind of obvious I got fed up. I could have improved the colour in the center of the sky but to do that I would have had to have redone the central cloud... I was not willing to do that after about 9 hours of work on the clouds alone.

    This is also the only thing I noticed which could use improvement, but it's not really even that noticeable. I think it looks really good even with that small flaw. Good for you to have that kind of patience. I'd have long since gotten fed up and tossed it aside.
