Well, Final Fantasy do have a lot of gunners in the game. There should be at least one person who uses gun that you at least like. Yes, they can hit from afar but a few of these gunners can actually use magic combined with them for elemental damage. Well, what makes you attracted to that character for their use of the gun? Just choose one.

P.S. Even though the Gunner dressphere is usable by Rikku and Paine in FFX-2, I listed down Yuna only because the Gunner dressphere is mainly and is initially hers to begin with. Though, if you still want Rikku and Paine to be added because of other reasons such as stats for example, I might or might not reconsider and have a mod to add them in.

Not on list but don't forget Squall from FF8. His weapon's a Gunblade. Gun and sword

Actually, I did not count Squall in this. To me, just because it is called a gunblade does not mean that it is a gun, with the exception of Lightning. Squall did not change the sword into a gun like Lightning can, so I did not include him in this. I was looking for the more, real form of a gun anyways and Lightning was able to prove it.

Laguna is awesome, one of my favorite FF characters and he was fun to watch in FF8's flash back events. :)

Meh. I always find Laguna lacking in actually dealing damage. Barret is a step up of Laguna but I can say the same for him too. More of a damage-taker than a damage dealer. The only one who I can see who can deal damage is Yuna and Irvine. Irvine can do so much damage with his limit break. Yuna's Trigger Happy is also helpful but right now, I have to say Irvine because of his limit break.

I voted for Barrett, FFVII. I like him because he's a blustery, tough, cussing old dude. He rarely made it into my final party, but he was a powerhouse, particularly in the beginning, and I remember on at least one fight his Mindblow ability really saved the day.

I hate Vincent. I think he's overrated and S-E tried too hard to make him cool. I also hate Irvine. His limits are worthless to me because I have to waste good items to make his ammo. He's also just really annoying. Laguna's all right, but not really anything special. Yuna's new attitude in X-2 was disappointing. I didn't like her that way, though the gunner dressphere in game was useful at times. I don't know the rest of these characters.

Meh. I didn't care if I spend a lot of ammos. I tend to have a lot of money anyways because of my seed ranking. I would like Barret but I don't like to use him later on in the game unless I really want to... so I just take Tifa, Cloud and Barret to the area where they just fight endless battles against the Shinra soldiers right after they jump off of the train.

I always have plenty of money. What I don't have is the patience to kill even more ruby dragons or those dragonfly-looking bastards for the endless supply of energy crystals or whatever it was that we needed to make Irvine's Pulse Ammo. It's time consuming and monotonous enough gathering as many as we need for the ultimate weapons.

If VII were a 4-member party like IX is, I would use him all the time, because he really is a heavy hitter (and those are my best characters). But I prefer having a lightweight (like Yuffie) in the mix to heal, so Barrett gets left out at the end there.

This makes no sense. He should be about as strong as Squall, since Squall's junctions and shit are transferred to him every dream sequence. He killed things just fine for me.

The old Catnip + Trigger Happy trick, eh?

Squall did pull the trigger, though. Though it beats me how the hell that weapon actually worked.

??? You do know that the G.F.'s abilities are the alternative way to create your ammos do you? That is always a fun thing for me to do and I never get tired fighting Elvoret's alter-ego form. That's just me.

As for Laguna... ... -_- I don't know. Maybe it is because the enemies are weak or I just want some more damage dealt from a single attack like Yuna could with Trigger Happy.

:D And I use a different technique with Yuna. I hardly use the Cat Nip ability but it gets it done. -_- I just need to remember what technique it was though. Need to replay. As for Squall... meh. Still not going to include him.

And you need the items, the energy crystals or whatever the hell they were (ain't played VIII in ages) to refine into the ammo. Perhaps you never tired of fighting those monsters. I did. Even degenerating them repeatedly gets old. Probably you could get the items by going back and refining cards, or changing magic to items, or such, but again, that takes too much time that I didn't want to waste.

What I liked about the gunner dressphere were the abilities that gave extra damage based on what kind of fiend you were shooting. And the ones that shot out MP and the table turner one (can't remember if that's what it was called and am too lazy to check) that did extra damage the higher the fiend's defense.
