Tales of a Journey (Private!)

The body rolled over, and a smile appeared on 'Kinta's' face.

"Gotcha!"

The figure undid the spell holding the disguise in place and grabbed Audri's ankle, then pulled her off her feet. While she was still in midair, a spell circle was activated beneath her with the word, "Bascule!" and slammed her into the ground with intense gravity. The sorceress immediately got up and aimed to do a drop kick over the intensely heavier area.

"I wonder why she called my name? . ." Kinta asked as he watched the smoke clear. "Wait, I see one standing over the other. . ."

"Wait a minute, I can see. . . How the hell did that happen?" Ranma asked, stunned by this turn of events. "Damnit! Where's a replay camera when you need it?"

 

Malisa forgot about the wolf.

"Ohfu-"

She cursed at the moment of impact. The wolf hit her head on, sending the sorceress flying as it kept up with the tackle. With a muttered, "Buffer," she placed her hand on the snout of the beast and twisted herself above it, the blasted it to the ground with wind coming out of a circle. It was spinning due to this wind.

Once back on solid ground, she dusted herself off and pulled off a second bracelet on her other arm and unfastened the ends. Dangling it above her mouth, Malisa let gravity take the beads down. She ran over to Audri with steps light as wind as the various multicolored auras pulsed about her, then hopped into the air to deliver some sort of arial wrestler's drop on Audri.

"I want to see this mage girl taken out! Why else do you think I wanted to see what was happening?!" Ranma snarled at Scarlett, turning his attention away from the match.
"Audri, hurt?" Neli asked, tugging on Scarlett's shirt.

"Yikes, kupo. I wish I had bet for your guys to lose in the finals," Stitzlkin complained regretting his earlier decision upon watching Malisa's performance.
"Shh! I want to see what happens next, kupo!"

"Audri, don't give up!" Kinta shouted from the stands.

 

"Down you go!" Malisa shouted, a burst of flame propelling her forward along with the everpowered gravity. Her fist turned blue as her arm coated itself in ice and smashed straight through the piano, causing debris to fly everywhere. And then. . .

"Game over. You lose!" The sorceress giggled. The fist that she had driven down with was embedded in the ground beside Audri's head, and her other arm kept Audri's head flat against the ground. It's a miracle she didn't crush Audri.

"Well, at least we don't have to worry any more," Kinta said, breathing a sigh of relief. "It looks like the match is over and no major injuries."

 

"Sure!" Malisa told the girl, getting off of her and dusting herself off. She reached a hand out and pulled Audri up off the ground. With a sheepish grin, she apologized, "Sorry about using your boyfriend's face. I learned that trick from an old foe of mine, and I thought it would work. Alls fair in love and war, right? No hard feelings?"

The sorceress held out a hand to Audri just as the barrier disappated.

"Looks like we can get in," Kinta commented, watching as the magical barrier dropped. He began to get up and walk over to Audri, but when he was midway there, he stumbled and fell forward, landing uncomfortably on his arm. The keychain went scittering out of his pocket across the ground, only to stop at Malisa's feet.


"And there goes Mr.Loverboy!" Ranma cackled watching as Kinta fell flat on his face.

 

Malisa's eyes caught the trinket, and they grew wide with surprise.

"Oh my Ultima, let me see that!" She exclaimed snatching the trinket from Audri's hand. "Is this what I. . . It is! Oh my, this is wonderful! You! One who I beat up before!"

Malisa pulled Kinta to his feet without so much as a grunt, her face beaming with happiness.

"You simply MUST let me have this! I'll. . . teach you a cool ability! The one with the beads!" She demanded, catching him off guard.

"Er. . . I don't know. I mean, Yen Sid kinda gave it to-"
"Ah, so that's why! It's from Yen Sid! That cheeky old dog! Well, now I have to have it, and I won't take no for an answer. Here, hold out your hand."

Malisa took Kinta off to the side of the group, rolling his hand into a fist and covering it with hers.


"Audri. . . okay?" Neli asked as Scarlett deposited her near the blonde*

"Let me put it this way - if your brother wasn't a horny, incestuous maniac, wouldn't you tease him about everything?" Ranma told Riri.


*She is blonde now, right? Or is she a red head? I can't remember! >_<

 

Malisa's eyes caught the trinket, and they grew wide with surprise.

Malisa took Kinta off to the side of the group, rolling his hand into a fist and covering it with hers.


"Audri. . . okay?" Neli asked as Scarlett deposited her near the blonde*

"Let me put it this way - if your brother wasn't a horny, incestuous maniac, wouldn't you tease him about everything?" Ranma told Riri.

Malisa let go of Kinta's hand and he unfolded it. A bead had appeared there.

"And that's how you store magic into a solid form! Wasn't that hard, was it? As an added bonus, here's the coordinates of the parallel of my home world, provided you actually want to go there!" She told him, handing him a slip of paper. With a grin she began walking away, but turned to say, "Well, I'm off to collect my hard-earned loot and blow it on something fun! I hope our paths meet again, someday!"

And then she went off. Kinta was left there, scratching his head.
"Er. . . what. . . nevermind," He muttered, shaking his head and heading back to the group.


Neli stared at Zero and said, "Pervert," pointing at him with a hand.

"Oh? And what is that?" Ranma asked, still laughing a little from Kinta's fall.

 

"Should I be asking what you guys were talking about?" Kinta asked, a lighthearted smile on his face. Monty simply came over and replied, "Probably not, kupo."
"Monty, where's your brother?"
"Oh, he went off to go get those Twilight Town kids and take them off on another one of his business schemes, kupo. I just don't get him sometimes. He is so obsessed with munny, kupo.
"I'll say."

"Well, as much as I hate to say it, you're my friend. And nobody gets to hurt my friends but me!" Ranma told her, grinning. In a low voice, he added, "And each other. But anyways, let's go see what the bozos are doing!"

He pulled her by the arm to where the others were.

 

"Really? We're letting him travel with us?" Ranma asked as he entered the conversation. "I thought we were just going to strand him here. After all, we can't exactly guarantee that he won't try to molest all the girls in their sleep."

"Er. . . Who knows? At this point, I'd just like to get off this planet and into a bed," Kinta replied, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Pervert," Neli said again, turning a hand into a set of knives and poking him with the tip of the index one.
"I think that's her new favorite word, kupo," Monty commented, sweatdropping. "Can we just stop talking and go? I don't want to get tricked into betting on another tournament, kupo!"

 

"What are you talking about? All you've been doing since you joined us is hit on pretty much every girl in the group," Ranma cackled, bopping Zero on the head. In response to Audri's request to Kinta, he simply said, "Eh, I'm just gonna go ahead and wait in the ship. BYE!"

Ranma immediately dashed off. Neli saw this and placed Monty on her shoulder and grabbed Scarlett's hand, then proceeded to run after him.


Kinta walked over, a questioning look on his face.
"Sure. Um, what is it, Audri?" He asked, curious about what was so important that they needed to be separated for.

 

"Wait. . . What?!" Kinta shouted, clearly baffled by this. "But wait, why? Why are you going? And especially with her, of all people! I mean, she hasn't done anything to you since that party, but still! What would you have to do that's so important that you have to go with that. . . snake!?"

Once Ranma got on the ship, he pulled himself into a chair and sat, waiting for the others to arrive. Which wasn't log, because Neli made it almost immediately after, still carrying Scarlett and Monty.

"Er. . . What do you think that was about, kupo?" Monty asked, hopping down from the robot's shoulder.
