"Thanks," Kana says in a distracted voice as she starts running towards Kane. "Kane!"

Kane looks up and breaks out into the first sincere smile he's had throughout the whole journey. "Kana!" he rushes out to meet her and the both collide with a hug. They kiss, showing each other how badly they've missed each other. Finally they break apart. "Are you hurt?" Kane asks in a concerned voice.

"Not really. Some bumps and bruises but nothing else."

    "What a relief."

"Kane I was worried. He said he was going to kill you!"

Kane snorts despite the situation. "Love you got to learn that a lot of people say that about me but so far none of have met with success. I will admit it was touch and go there."

    "Are you tired?"

Kane steps away from their hug a bit. "Ya. Just a little bi." He sags to the ground suddenly. "Woah."

She kneels to help keep him steady. "Oh no."

"Just the energy drain. The 13th divide tends to take a lot out of me. Didn't help that that bastard just wouldn't die. I'll be ok in a little while. Just let me sit for a minute." Kane looks over at Gerik. "Thanks for getting her out of there. I couldn't use the final release while she was trapped there." He nod his head over at the destroyed building to empathize his point.

Looks away as Kane cuts off Darmeth's head. 'There are a few things wrong with death. Justified, or not.'

Later as they where all talking after the Battle, Mokona finally desides to call Yuko. A magic ring opens up in front of him, with Yuko sitting in her chair, in a long dark and very festive Kimono drinking warm Sake.

"Oh Mokona, Having fun on your vacation?" Said Yuko when she realized he was there.

"Oh yes! Mokona is having great fun!" Responded Mokona.

Dune get's in on the conversation by scotching in close to Mokona. "Hi Yuko! Nice to see you again. Hey, we have a question for you. You see, we jus-..." Dune quickly got cut off by Yuko.

"You are calling about Kana right? Yes, she can travel with you." Said Yuko knowing what Dune was going to say.

    "Well what about-..."

"What about her payment?" She shifts around on her seat and sits up, with a giant smile on her face. "Well, that will be decided later. For now, Mokona, if you would."

"Can Do!" A ring appears below Mokona and wings come out of his back in a glorious manor. Mokona then opened his mouth as wide as he could, and sucked all of them in, then he flew up into the sky teleporting himself.

While still in the Portal, Dune was floating down towards the bright light below, when all of a sudden, he hears this Chiming sound. one that sounded like a Furin, being blown in a gentle breeze, and, along with it, a little girl laughing faintly in the distance. Dune started remembering something, when they are suddenly in the new world.

Dune get's up and looks around the room they are in. It is completely made of steel, and seemed to be fueling something, but the entire place was deserted. "I wonder where we are...."

All of a sudden a loud boom can be heard in the distance, and before they knew it, the wall farthest from them, get's blasted far upwards into the sky. From the loud noise it created, Dune looks over at the gapping hole, and sees a battlefield out on a grassy plain. But this isn't any normal kind of Battlefield Dune is used to, this one has these giant, colorful mechanical monsters. Fighting one another with guns and sword.

"W-what is this?!" All of a sudden, in the excitement, he hears the chime again. He looks over to see where it came from, and that's when he saw a little girl in a long white gown, holding a little teddy bear, run into a hallway. "Who was that...?" Another loud boom comes from outside. "Crap! Come on Guys, I have a feeling we need to go through that Hallway!" Points at the one the little girl went down.

    >Yup, We got Mech's. I'm sorry, I love Mechs. I was kind of wanting a Noein+Xenosaga+Megaman kind of thing. I hope that is alright with you guys. Oh, and a Furin is a Japanese Wind chime with a tag on it. It's what chimecho is based off of.<

    >You just had to do mechs didn't you? Kana's profile is going up.<

Kane and Kana both looked quite perplexed though Kana more so than Kane. "Did we just get eaten by that white guy over there?"

Mokona, displaying his excellent sense of hearing screamed, "For the last time Mokona is Mokona!"

    "Oh, umm."

Kane heard Dune shout something as the battle outside began to intensify. "Love I think we better run for it." Without another word he grabs her arm and pulls her into the hallway out of the line of fire. If I have to use my power to protect her I'll pass out. Why didn't that little guy give me the chance to rest up? His muscles barely responded to his wishes and he felt like he was dragging his limbs through water. If this exertion kept up he would be out of it in just ten minutes. He'd have to ensure Kana was safe before that happened. Either way he was going to have to sleep before to much longer.

    >What's the name of this world? We've named all the previous ones. Oh, and it dawned upon me that the dragon egg in Kane's pocket could've been smushed during that battle.<

Gerik glared at Mokona. "You've got a knack for having us appear in the middle of a dangerous area, don't you? You couldn't at least give us some place calm to rest? Kane's gonna pass out soon, and I doubt you can drag his body along." Gerik followed the group. "Although I will admit, your ability to send us to cool places doesn't disappoint. But then again, following random girls who hold a stuffed bear usually isn't a good idea. But hey, not like we have anywhere else to go."

"Eye of Horus." Gerik closed his eyes. He opened them up again. He looked around and saw the little girl who was someways away from them. "Doesn't have the aura of a ghost. Maybe there's nothing wrong with her." Gerik closed his eyes again, disabling the spell.

"Hey, It's not my fault! Yuko told me too!" Yelled Mokona as he jumps back onto Gerik's shoulder.

They all make there way through the hallways, and at every turn they see the tail of the girls dress, showing them the way through the dark halls. For some odd reason, the dress glows with an illumines light, but it doesn't give off an unsettling feeling, just one of hope. They all take one last turn and when they looked down the hall, there was no one there. The only thing there is a Light post over a door with a plague that says 'Elevator to City', and a Furin on the ground in front of it. Dune runs up to the door, and once there he notices the Furin, and quickly but gently picks it up. A-a Furin...No...theres a magic coming from it... He looks at the tag on it and can bairly read it. 'Here lies....let....light...in peace.' I- i can read it...only barely though...is Mokona causing this....or is it...?

Kane almost stumbled over his own feet as the pace kept up. His vision began to blur up intermittently which was a bad sign. "Guys I gotta sit down," he says, and sits against the wall holding his head in his hands. He was starting to get a migraine from the effort of keeping himself standing. He barely registered his beloved next to him. No use. I'm gonna pass... out... And then Kane falls over, his body giving into the energy loss it had sustained.

    >Someone will have to carry him through several posting periods.<

"Didn't think you'd blame Yuko for that." Gerik muttered. He reached Kane's body. He grabbed his arm, put it across his neck, and lifted his body up. "Come on. Sucks doesn't it? The drawback to using powerful spells like that." He spoke to Kane, not even bothering to see if he was listening or not. "I'd probably end up like you if I used my final spell to it's utmost limit. That thing always takes a lot out of me. I've trained to try and stop it from weakening me if I were to end the spell earlier than it would on it's own, but after a while it still takes it's toll. If we ever get to my world, I'll try to find somebody to help train you. I know some people who have powerful magic they can use without the drawback."

They reached Dune. "Are we gonna go to this city or are you gonna look at that tag with the marks on it all day?" Gerik obviously couldn't read whatever language it was.

"Y-you can't read it?" So it isn't Mokona...Why do I feel as though I know this...? suddenly a memory quickly rushes into his mind. It is a memory of a beautiful hill, with a looming shadow from a japanese cherry tree, in full blossom. Everything but the tree and the hill are hidden by a heavy fog in the day time. There was a stone at the foot of the tree, nothing very special about the stone, just Calla Lily flowers growing around it. As Dune approaches the rock, the giggle echo's around him, and in the same instant a Furin chimes above him. He looks up, and it is the same as the one he is holding. "W-where am I...I can't remember....It's been too long..."

"....You have....come back....I....." Said a strange voice coming from out of the fog as it wavers in and out.

    "W-who's there?..." Said Dune.

"....You don't remember..... It has been a long time......I have missed you......"

"Why do I...Why do I remember this place....?"

"....In time.....you will find the answer....good luck.....my old friend." said the voice as it and the fog faided into darkness, and so did the ground he stood on, and there after the tree.

"No...don't leave....not now..." Said Dune as he closed his eyes.

    "Hey! Hey Dune!"

"What?" Dune opens his eyes to see Mokona directly in his face. He quickly screamed from the shock and threw Mokona off of him. Mokona went flying through the air, and landed on Gerik's shoulder who where all already in the elevtor waiting. Dune quickly makes his way into elevator, and the door closes. In an instant, the elevator falls at a break neck speed.

    >Can still play Kana<

Kana wasn't to thrilled with the immediate situation. She'd hoped to catch up with her beloved, but thanks to Mokona that wasn't likely to happen any time soon. She didn't know enough to know that he was a bit of a loose cannon, but she was also polite enough not to yell at him now. "Does anyone have a rapier or something?" At their confused faces she adds, "Kane taught me how to fight with a sword. Rapiers suit me and I think i could use one in this situation."

Mokona and Kane snoozing aside she was hoping to enjoy her journey with this group. Dune had a nice feel to him, and Gerik seemed like a reliable tough guy. Also she got to watch Darmeth get crushed, which was always a good bonus.

With his free left hand, Gerik grabbed one of his swords. "This isn't a rapier, but you can use it if you wish. I made the blade out of adamantium, so it won't break and it will cut through anything. If we had a forge around here, I could make you a weapon. I also have that knife I used to cut your gag. It's made out of a special material. It is actually made for assassinations, since the metal doesn't give off any sort of reflection."

"Hey Dune." Gerik said, snapping his fingers in front of Dune's face. "Are you okay? You just blanked out. Does this world seem familiar to you?"

The elevator stopped abruptly. They reached their destination. The doors slowly opened.

Even with the movement from the Elevator, Dune still stood motionless looking at the Furin. Still completely blanking out. All of a sudden he is snapped out of his trainse, ironically, by Gerik Snapping his fingers. "W-what?" quickly put's the Furin into his pocket, and turns to Gerik. "No, I have no Idea about this world. It's all completely foreign to me."

Dune looses his rock like stance when the Elevator hit the bottom floor. The door flew open, to reveal a city, equal to Tokyo or New York. There where high buildings, artificial environments, and artificial sky's. The Elevator, came down on a sidewalk next to a road, far from the city. Next to them was a huge steel door, large enough for two eighteen wheelers in width and hight. Upon investigation, the area they where in was 'Sector G: A Military outpost.'

    >We already established we can't read foreign writing Denki, and you established that. Just sayin.<

Kana looked around her in wonder. She'd never seen a place quite like this, though it was scary how little of nature their was. An explosion could be heard from the distance, no doubt from the fighting. People had probably finished evacuating as it was eerily quiet.

"Were do you think we are?" she asks aloud not expecting much of an answer. It was just one of those things you said. Wasn't it?

    >I figured it was in writing similar to what Dune is familiar with. Kinda like how Kurogane could kinda talk to Yasha's troops when he and Fay were separated from Syaoron and Mokona.<

"Wherever we are, we stick out like a sore thumb." Gerik said. "First things first we need to find someplace to rest. I'm certain we've been awake for at least 18 hours now, probably more. Once we find someplace to rest, we can go out and get ourselves some outfits to blend in with the crowds here." Gerik looked around. He couldn't tell if the sky above them was real or if they were inside some gigantic shell that gave off the appearance of their surroundings. Gerik turned his head to the right, looking over Kane's arm and at Mokona. "Are you able to hold our weapons and stuff when we're not using them? The last two worlds our weapons seemed commonplace, but this place makes our weapons look outdated."

    >...Yeah, let's go with what Desert said<

"I can eat and store them! Just throw them in!" Mokona opens his mouth wide.

Suddenly this little speck appears out in the distant, and quickly drifts up towards them. It looks like an over sized mechanical Fly. It floats up directly on them, and fires a fan of light, starting at there head, and fly's down to there feet. It finishes the scan and begins to speak. "Three human males, one human female, one toy. I want you to know that you are in a dangerous area, and need to get back to the city. This is a Military entrance, unauthorized personnel must leave." The robot levitates over all of them, and turns on a beam of light that eliminates all of them. "Teleporting you to the city gate." All of them get teleported instantly to another robot at the gate of the City.

"Please stay in the town till the alarm shuts off!" The new robot pushes them into the town through the gate. An invisible wall ripples as they are pushed through, and once on the other side, they are in a very active city.

"...I have no Idea what just happened..."

That was weird, Kana thought to herself. I just got teleported like in star trek. What's worse, I'm not even phased. She begins to observe her surroundings. Everything looks high tech, but the houses also have a homey feel to them. Basically this spot was like in towns everywhere. Super cool and new, but still the same in a way. "Were are we anyways?" she asks the robot. It couldn't hurt to ask.

"Metropolis." The robot answered before flying away.

Gerik wasn't really paying attention to the robot. Instead he looked in the direction they came from. He reached out, touching the force field. "I suppose if I wanted to I could always get past this. But we should probably find some place to rest, not that anybody was listening." Gerik reached for his belt, taking off all his weapons. He also reached behind his neck and took off his cloak. "Here you go Mokona." Gerik said, allowing Mokona to suck up his equipment. Knowing that Kane obviously wouldn't hear him, Gerik spoke to Dune. "You should have Mokona store your stuff as well. The last thing we want is to stick out. Especially since that thing told us it's a warzone here." Gerik began walking off, still holding up Kane's body. "I'm going to find a place for us to sleep. You're welcome to follow if you wish, but I'm exhausted and Kane obviously is as well."

    >I know Metropolis is a very cliche name, but I figured what the heck.<

  17. Denki Wolf

Dune looks down and chuckles a little "I don't think taking the cloak off in such a populated city would be a great idea..." Mostly because I don't have a shirt under this, and I see no beach near by. "I think I will go an look for something to blend in a little better. But we need to be able to find each other...Oh! I know!" Dune quickly whips out a piece of paper, and a pen and Ink. He quickly scribbles some Kanji letters on it, then shows them. "This will do. I wrote a spell that Fern taught me! The tag will lead me back to Gerik, no matter where we are in the world. I think that will do!"

Mokona takes the weapons from Dune and eats them. "Yum!"

"You'd better be able to get those back for me!" Dune said to Mokona with a kind of scolding attitude. "Well, I'll going now. Hope you guys can find someplace! I'll try not to stay out late. And, while I'm at it, I may as well get some information while I'm out!" Dune begins to walk into the town looking for a store. "Good luck!"

Time must have moved very differently in this world. Kane could already feel his powers returning to him. The winds. It sounds so sad, he though as he began to come out of his rest. "Ugh," he groaned waking up. When he became fully awake he saw everything around him. "Wow, this is a change in scenery. How long was I out?" And what's with this wind. I've never felt a more depressed wind in my whole life.

Kana was elated to see Kane awake. "Bout time love. Were in a world called Metropolis, or at least that's the name of the city." She quickly filled him in on everything that had happened. She took Kane to the side and said, "Are you sure your feeling ok? You've never woken this fast before."

"These winds are rejuvenating me for some reason, though I don't know why. This world is very sad Kana, don't expect much good."

"I'm not. This place is a war zone."

"How convenient." Gerik muttered. "Getting strength from a breeze." He folded the paper Dune gave him and put it in the pouch that held sand. "Let's go Mokona. I'm certain that Kane and Kana will follow quickly. Can you tell if Dune's at all familiar with this place's language? I don't think he'd wander off away from you without having some sort of familiarity " Gerik started walking along the streets, looking for any place that looked like an inn of some sort. "So Mokona, what are you exactly? Like, how did you come into exsistance? Do you have any family, apart from Yuko?"

    >Ok I skip Dune but we need to figure out a way for him to keep playing.<

Looking over at Gerik, Kane saw a impatient person. "Oops Gerik will leave without us if we let him."

"Looks like it. He's a man who likes to get things done."

Kane rolled his eyes, but walked back over to the rest of the group in time to hear Gerik ask after Mokona's family. A whole family of those things? He imagined it in his head. His mind completely rebelled. Oh my god!
