CIA

  1. I find it ridiculous that the CIA has a web site. It's very irresponsible and that you can really go on a the CIA website(CIA.gov) and surf it. If the CIA wants a solid security then WTF? Anyone can go on it. If I'm a terroist (which I'm not) I can go in their hack in and if I'm smart I'll be able to like whatplant something and stuff will go boom. So what you think.

the CIA has to do things openly because people hate secrets. The CIA website was i think a mandatory action because the public said the CIA has no right to hide what it does from the people in this country.

  3. But think, all the leaks in the CIA are very dangerous. A website can be even more dangerous.

Do you honestly think that there is top secret data on that website. The website is there for people to get information about the CIA and to look up the things that the agency does that are cleared for public knowledge. It also has the double advantage of making the public feel as though the agency has no secrets.

But there are still things that require security clearance to know, and I very seriously doubt that you can log on to the CIA's website and learn those things.

  5. Then go to thet site right now Al CIA.gov do it please.

Are you kidding me? That's what you're worried about the terrorists hacking. It a public info site. Nothing the public isn't supposed to know is on there. It describes the various offices within the agency and keeps up with current press releases and non-classified news. It also has employment information for peopel interested in working there.

This is not something that threatens the security of the country.

  7. There is ALWAYS a leak it doesn't matter what you say their is always a leak.

Well, nothing is perfect. But this site is not the way into it. No terrorist is going to get any noteworthy info on us from that site that they couldn't get from CNN. All that stuff is publically released information.

I'm not saying they couldn't get top secret info, but they'd be getting it somewhere else.

The worst thing a terrorist could do from that website is apply for a job and actually get accepted. And they don't even need the site for that.

Terrorists tried to Hack World of Warcraft and use it to crash the American Government's firewell on the Pentgon Computer

That may be, but that doesn't mean that a CIA website would be any more threatening than WoW was. If that worked form WoW, then theoretically, you could do it from any site, and this particular one doesn't make it any easier.

From the comments, I can tell most people here no little to none about computer hacking.

You see, the CIA website has security that's unheard of. Even Bill Gates, the man who makes computers, doesn't have this tight of security for his. It's insane. Maybe 1000 or so super hackers given about 5 years could get anything really top secret from that site -- no exaggeration.

All CIA leaks come from one person telling another person. And that's all there is too it. The CIA website only has cases that has been solved, or non-secret cases that they feel free to disclose to the public.
