    GrandShadow I accept your challange.

Jace took a seat and focuses on the scene in front of him. He had left his pokemon back at the center and had come with the sole idea of devising his rematch strategy. He clasped his hands in front of him and rested his head on his knuckles. Okay, focus. Alex beat me and know I get to see how another would battle him. If Tom wins, then I just mimic his basic strategy my own way. If he loses, then I know what not to do. Either way, this match is the most important thing to me at this very moment.

Sorin sat down as he turned on his video screens to watch. "Well, let's see if Hoenn can provide a challange."

Erasi yawned as he made his way back up the tower. His seven hour long training session from the previous night had definately taken its tole. He had even let Tyrannus sleep in from working so hard. As Erasi neared the top of the tower, he knocked on the door three times.

"Sorin, it is Erasi... My apologies for not being on time for today's match... Requesting permission to enter."

"Come in Erasi." Sorin said as he pressed a butto and the doo opened automatically. Erasi grabbed a chair next to him and Sorin looked him over before turning his attention back to the screens. "Training? I've forgotten what that was like." Sorin sighed for a moment but the shook his head. "You're not late, they've only just sent out their opening pokemon. If anything you're right on time."

Sora sat next to Jace watching the battle.

"He won't be following the same pattern when it comes time for our battle." Sora thought aloud. Espeon agreed watching the battle closely.

"Though, make sure you take note anyways Jace. It's one thing to be in the battle and the next to sit back and observe the battle." Sora turned to Jace before returning her gaze back to the battle.

"Stay focus, Tom!" Sora called down to him. She wasn't close friends exactly with them yet, but she planned to be friendly. If the others didn't like it, then fine, but they were a team and the key in a team is friendship.

"I know. To be honest, watching others has never interested me. I'm only here so I can pick up on what works and avoid what doesn't." Jace said. "Alex is again starting with that Alakazam, one of the fastest Psychic types around. Tom is starting with Porygon-Z, which has one of the highest special attacks in the world; sadly tied with Alakazam. I think this particular fight is going to come down to who hits first, cause both are guarenteed to hit hard."

"Alakazam, Focus Punch!" Alex quickly yelled.

"Porygon-Z, Shadow Ball!" Tom yelled at the same time.

Alakazam ran towards Porygon-Z, his fist clutched. Porygon-Z was charging dark energy at his mouth. Porygon-Z shot out the attack. Alakazam punched a bit earlier than expected. The Shadow Ball began to phase through Alakazam's fist. "Good. Ghost types aren't effected by Fighting." Alex seemed to notice this as well. "Alakazam, use Psychic on the Shadow Ball." Alakazam's eyes glowed right before the Shadow Ball would hit. The Shadow Ball then instantly dissapeared. "Keep Alakazam on the defensive. Use Signal Beam." Porygon-Z shot out four beams that moved like waves, moving to and away from each other. "Alakazam, dodge." Alakazam jumped to the side. Before Alakazam fully dodged, Tom shouted out "Use Shadow Ball. Target where he's gonna land." Porygon-Z shot out another Shadow Ball.

Whoa, is Tom actually keeping up with him? Jace thought as he watched the battle. And he's even risking prediction without using a Future Sight. That takes skill, I wouldn't be able to pull that off even if I had Future Sight to predict for me. "Hopefully Z aims perfectly. Otherwise a stray move will end it."

"My my, it seems Alex has someone who can see through his speed." Sorin commented with a slight smile. "And then the moves, he's planned this out carefully. Perhaps lifting that old spectator rule will be the undoing of us." Sorin joked.

Erasi chuckled at Sorin's comment while staring eyes peeled at the screen observing the battle. Alakazam was fast, but that Porygon-Z was anticipating its movements quite well. As the old saying goes... Run as fast as you like, all I have to do is toss a rock in the road to stop you...

"Lifting the spectator rule was pure genius in my opinion...At least now they will be able to develop strategies, gain insight into our teams, and perhaps put up better fights than we have seen in a long time. This match right here is proof. We may actually get a challenge, my friend. My wouldn't that be something?"

"Alakazam, use Calm Mind." Alex commanded. Alakazam landed on the ground from the dodge and quickly sat down, closing his eyes. The Shadow Ball hit directly. The Shadow Ball knocked Alakazam over. Alakazam stood back up. "I made sure Alakazam would be able to survive weaknesses." Alakazam fell down to one knee.

"Yep. And I made sure Porygon-Z was unmatched with Special Attacks. Just in case somebody would try to boost their defense against the attacks. Porygon-Z, Shadow Ball." Porygon-Z shot out another Shadow Ball.

"Psychic." Alakazam's eyes glowed blue. Instead of the Shadow Ball dissapating, Porygon-Z was blasted back. The Shadow Ball then hit Alakazam. "That's it Alakazam. Return." Alakazam left the battle. "Let's go, Staraptor." Alex tossed a pokeball, sending out the bird Pokemon.

Porygon-Z slowly floated back to the battle. "Are you sure you still wanna battle? The Staraptor is fast, Tailwind makes it faster, and you've only got one shot. If you miss, that's it for you today." The Porygon-Z nodded, moving to his starting point. Tom sighed. "If you insist. Let's hope this hits. Ice Beam."

"Staraptor, Tailwind." The bird began flapping his wings, causing the wind to pick up in Tom's direction. This slowed down the Ice Beam a little bit. "Steel Wing." Staraptor dived towards Porgyon-Z, his wings glowing. Staraptor dodged the Ice Beam. The Ice Beam continued moving, straight towards Alex's head. Alex quickly moved his head, the Ice Beam mere centimeters from hitting him. The beam hit the cliffside behind Alex. A massive portion of it turned to ice, along with ice crystals sticking out in random locations. Alex put his hand to his cheek. "That was friggen cold. Holy crap." Staraptor reached Porygon-Z and swung down with his wings. Porygon-Z barely dodged, causing Staraptor to hit the ground below Staraptor. Staraptor's attack broke through the ground.

"Porygon, Ice Beam." Porygon-Z turned to Staraptor and shot another Ice Beam.

"No you don't. Close Combat." Staraptor started smacking Porygon-Z with his wings. Porygon-Z fainted.

Tom sighed. "What to do? What to do? Porygon, return." Porygon-Z was returned to his pokeball.

"This is getting interesting.Porygon-Z I thought for sure would get farther, but at the spot Tom's at right now if he keeps this rate, he'll end up winning." Sora commented watching the battle with full interest.

Sora was excited. she had her strategy planned and watching this battle helped with her own strategy.

"Hmm.... I wonder if I can get him to bring out Garchomp soon. If he does I can hopefully take it down right off the bat. That'll allow me to allocate the rest of my Pokemon for the rest of his team. I really hope this works." Tom thought as he grabbed another pokeball. "You should be able to handle this, Dragonite." Tom tossed the pokeball, revealing his dragon.

Alex chuckled a little bit. "Lemme guess. You gave your Dragonite Thunder to be able to combat the water types that know ice moves. This shouldn't be too hard to dodge. Staraptor, wait until the Dragonite attacks before attacking yourself."

"Funny how you guess what moves he may possibly have."

"It isn't my fault. Lots of trainers teach their Dragonites Thunder. It's a powerful move, and Dragonite is a powerful Pokemon."

"Fine then. Dragonite, Thunder." Tom suddenly coughed as he said Thunder. Dragonite nodded, as if they were communicating in some subtle way.

"Staraptor, Steel Wing." Staraptor dived towards Dragonite, his wings starting to glow.

The electric attack shot down from the sky. But, instead of going towards Staraptor, it looked like it was headed towards Dragonite. Dragonite attacked himself. Instead of diving towards Dragonite, Staraptor was diving straight into the attack.

"Woah!" Sora exclaimed leaning forward in her seat.

"that's a risky but clever move!" She exclaimed. "With Staraptor flying towards dragonite going to hit, it also opens up one of it's critical spots so when staraptor makes contact with dragonite as the thunder hits, it deals a major ammount of damage versus if it hit in one spot. Though the move counters back with doing damage to dragonite though." Sora explained even know the others probably knew she still said it out loud.
