Anyway the world was destroyed in WWIII, the only continent that survived with a livable atmosphere was South America. South America was renamed Panem and the government was redone then. Panem was devided into 13 Districts and one Capitol. The Capitol was the ruling city. And the thirteen districts were the 'people'. But the government in the Capitol became Corrupt when President Snow took control. Life became hell for the thirteen districts since then. They became something like slave communities. The districts all became fenced in so no one could be permitted to leave them. Community cerfews were set, and freedoms of chosing careers were a thing of the past. A persons career was decided by district and the pay for the jobs were extremely low and all of the goods they produced were shipped to the Capitol for the people who lived there. The people found this system and tried to revolt. The Capitol retaliated strong and the Districts were forced to surrender. District 13 was completely destroyed and the laws placed on the other twelve became more harsh and inhumane. Peacekeepers were placed in each district to distribute consequences for anyone who broke the rules (the consiquences are usually death in most districts). But the worst change to the law was called THE HUNGER GAMES. The Hunger Games were created to remind everyone in the districts just how ruthless and powerful they are. Every year, the capitol choses one boy and one girl from each district to compete in them. The children chosen for the Hunger games are called Tributes and as soon as they are selected they barely have time to say goodbye to their families and friends before being taken away to the capitol to prepare for the games. None are any younger than 12 years old or older than 18. They are all given one week to win the hearts of the Capitol and gain sponsors. They are all filmed 24/7 from the time they are chosen as Tributes until the end of the games. The film is shown on the only channel on the TV all over Panem. And only one of them will return home alive.
You have been chosen as a Tribute for the Hunger Games. In the Hunger games, you have only one rule, you kill or be killed. Are you Ready to play?

Stylists
Each Tribute is given a Stylist and Prep Team. It is the Stylists job to make the Tributes look good and recieve good reputations. The more physically appealing, strong, and just plain likable a tribute is, the more likely they are to gaining sponsors. The Stylist coaches the Tribute on Capitol ediquite and designs their apparel from costumes to just regular clothes.

Victors
The Victors from years before (winners of the games) are forced to come back the next year to become the mentour of the new tributes. A Tributes guardian knows everything to expect in the arina and its their job to prepare the tributes for life in the arena. Problem is, most victors become drunks or drug addicts after winning the games or just go insane because of the things they witnessed as tributes and so they arent usually much help at all.

Gamekeepers
The Gamekeepers are those that design the games. They are in charge of creating the arina, rating the Tributes as to their chances of surviving the games, keeping the game interesting, and filming them. Their tricks and traps are placed all throughout the arena.


The Reaping
The Reaping is the drawing every child in the districts of Panem must have their name entered in once they reach 12 years old. The drawing is to decide who will compete in the games. A representitive from the capitol travels to the district they have been assigned to and has the honor of drawing the name of one boy and one girl from that district for the reaping. This representitive then becomes the Tributes advisor. Its up to them to make sure that they are on time for all of their events, and that no "accidents" happen that would cause them to die before entering the arena.

Sponsors
Every Tribute in the Arena has the chance to gain sponsors that aid them in the arena by sending them gifts. The more likely they are to win the games, the more physically attractive they are, and the more charming their personality is on the screen, the more likely they are to gain a lot of sponsors. The gifts the sponsors can send in an arena with no modern luxuries or medications could mean life or death to Tributes.

Teserae
Everyone elegible for their name in the Reaping has the choice to buy more chances to win the drawing to become a Tribute. Who would do this? Well anyone if you consider the fact that the bag of wheat they are given for buying a teserae can keep their starving families fed for weeks.

Obviously I dont think we're going to fill every spot from every district. Make one character from any district you chose. Any places that we dont fill up, I will be making a profile for. The characters in those places will be fair game, anyone can control them at any given time.

Remember that in this RP, its likely your character could die at any given moment depending on the district number you chose. This is an RP but also a game. See, Im the gamekeeper in this game. Every day, I will draw a number and depending on what number I draw, a character will die. (Depending on district).

No you dont have to have read the series. This is a story in the same world but not the same characters if that makes sense. All you need to know is the plot and I just told you what that is.
