Pokemon: The Masters Challange (Actual RP)

"Lucario did if not." Draco pushed off the wall. Draco looked back at the Lucario.

'The oldest boy has an aura of wisdom, he's smart and knows what he's doing, probably could come up with a plan to get through a match. The younger boy has a strong aura of excitement, he's your basic trainer hoping to become a pokemon master, though I recall a champion, Red was much like him, shame not even Champion Red came, he's probably much stronger than this boy. Then as for the girl, she's an interesting one, in fact she reminds me of a lot like you, master Draco. However, before you jump to conclusion Erasi, she's not cocky like you even assume that Draco is like. She has an aura of sort of knowing what she's doing. She appears she can easily keep her cool in any tough situation.' Lucario spoke in all of their minds.

 

Absol stared at Erasi,a stare of disbelief.jack knew why,but waited until Draco and his Lucario were done talking."Before we discuss this more,I think you should know something.Absol's are able to sense natural disasters,nothing else.They cannot read people or pokemon.Well,not as a natural ability at any rate."Jack said in a bored tone.Part of this was from having to explain to people that Absols do not cause disasters,though this time was a little different.

"On another note,i think i will take you up on your offer Erasi.Whether or not these guys are good,it is good to have a challenge."Jack said with a grin,his Absol mirroring him with a smaller one.He know had something to look forward too,even if these three trainers dissapointed him.

 

Erasi grumbled a moment, slightly embarrassed. "My bad judgement, Jack. My alzheimers has a habit of catching up with me in my old age and sometimes my mind tends to slip... Heh... My apologies to your Absol as well. And Lucario... Your abilities are definately genuine... And, as you are able to sense people... I am curious... What do you sense from Tyrannus and myself?"

 

"A mix of morbidity and boredom." Alex answered as he walked in to the group. "Sorry about being late. Just had to make sure the arena was ready for my match tomorrow. Anyways, about my answer for you and Tyrannus. I say that because you're always talking about the inherent dangers of this island. It is true that the kids should be aware that this place is extremely dangerous. But two of them have only just hit puberty. We don't want them filled with a sense of dread as they combat us. If bad things happen, it is better for them to be happy as long as they can. Oh, and I also said boredom because nobody ever fights you two."

 

"Isn't that the harsh truth.... Heheheh..." Erasi grumbled. "I am almost hoping that these trainers do well. It has been too long since Tyrannus and myself have had an actualy workout; It needs to happen. Speaking of which, Master Alex, which one would you like to battle first?"

 

"Whichever one gives me the most exciting of battles." He answered. "Although I figure that I'm gonna have to destroy them in each of their first battles. Don't want to risk battling each only once. They won't see what hit them. Which reminds me. I better tell them not to blink or they'll miss it."

 

"Maybe for the kids.I'd give Tom atleast two blinks Alex."Jack said.Absol rolled its eyes and kicked him,causing Jack to jump to the right alittle and run his left leg."You didnt have to do that!"He told Absol,who just snorted and put its head back down,eyes closed.

"Anyways...just make sure to save a little somethin for the second round then.Dont want to them to take you down because you showed your whole hand,do ya?"Jack said.You could almost see the laughter in his eyes as he thought of that type of situation.

 

Erasi and Tyrannus chuckled in agreement.

"Well spoken, Jack... I have not completely decided how I will conduct my battles but, I think I will reserve Tyrannus as my last resort..."

The Charizard bellied a deep growl at him.

"Well come on, Tyrannus, the rest of my team hardly ever gets a chance to fight... I'll just have you be my trump card when the rest of my team goes... You can be the savior and crush the life out of them..."

Tyrannus grumbled in agreement.

 

My team order will be secret. My weakest for sure will be first. But then it goes by what they got, the power of which one is strongest against them. Plus Erasi, I can guarantee you, if they manage to get past, they won't get past me." Draco explained to him.

 

"Ehhh...." Erasi groaned, "I know this is true... But still.... Sometimes I wish one could get past the three of you so I could have a chance to get my team some excercise... Ehhh.... What am I gonna do with you young whipper snappers.... I haven't had a match in nearly a year... I'm starting to regret being so damned good at this..."

Tyrannus chuckled in agreement, to which Erasi gave a grin.

"There is one thing I would like to deal with though... Sorin... What would happen if, hypothetically, one of the trainers managed to defeat all four of us, including yourself?"

 

Erasi chuckled.

"I vote to lift that rule. I would rather give them as many advantages as I possibly can. There is no need to try to hide anything... It takes all the guessing out of the battle, and makes your opponent more prepared to take you on. I will be lifting the no spectator rule for my battles, should I have any, of that you can be certain."

He glanced around the room at the other three masters as he spoke.

"You all call yourselves the best in the world... Are you truly that afraid someone could defeat you simple by knowing your team selection? Do you really have that little of faith in your own skill and pokemon? They are your partners, your soldiers, and your family at the same time. If you cannot trust your own family, your own pokemon, to get the job done right even when all odds are against them, then who can you truly trust? The no spectator rule simple stinks of fear to me. If you all are true masters, then nothing should fear you..."

 

Jack listened to Erasi's speech,laughing a little at the end."You sure seem to hate that rule.Surprised you never said anything before!As it is,I dont care either way.The surprise is always good to have in a battle,and you know how I love surprises."Jack said with a full out grin.

"As it is,I think I will let others watch my match as well,if they make it.Of course,the first one will have the hardest time against us.All the better for him or her."Jack said,folding his arms across his chest as he finished his own thoughts on the matter.

 

Erasi gave Jack a slight scowl. "I have never had to say anything before... Noone ever gets to me. This time may be different. There are far more challengers than usual, and things might actually get interesting. I have been a Master here longer than any of you, even longer than Sorin. Do not attempt to call me out like one of your little friends on the playground. You'll find that I do not play well with others."

 

"I vote to lift it as well. With my team anyways, it's unpredicatable what will happen." Draco stated.

He picked up the file for the girl.

'She seems familiar.' He thought to himself. He opened it up and scanned through it. 'Orphan, sister and daughter of komino girls, born in Johto region, champions of both theKanto and Johto region.' He scanned over the file.

 

"Sure thing." Alex replied. "My battle is starting soon anyways. I'll get them now." Alex left the group.

He walked up towards the three trainers. "Jace, the first Master is ready to battle you. And there has been a change in the rules this time. We have decided to lift the 'no spectating' rule for some of the battles. It is based on the individual preference of each Master, but I believe that each Master is willing to allow you all to watch each battle. Please follow me." Alex lead the group to his area.

"For this match, it is a single battle. One pokemon against another. You shall stand there." Alex pointed at Jace's side of the arena. "You are to reveal your first pokemon first."

"What about the Master?" Tom asked. "When is he or she getting here?"

"Oh, that's right." Alex chuckled. "I forgot to mention that I am the first Master." Alex walked to his side of the arena.

 

"Ice... Lemme think..." Alex muttered. "Aside from Fire, Fighting is strong against it. Alright then." Alex grabbed a pokeball. "As a reminder Jace, don't blink or you'll miss the action. Go, Alakazam." Alex threw his pokeball at the center. It opened up, revealing the Psychic Pokemon. "Alright Alakazam. Let's start things off with a Psychic." The Alakazam nodded. Before Jace's Glacion had a chance to attack, Alakazam quickly turned to the Glacion and focused on it, attacking with Psychic.
