Dark and Light; A War of Two OOC/SU

-~Backstory~-
All from two. Everything is made from the original two, the light and its counterpart the dark. The two gods that created all made this to keep the universe in balance. To prevent the balance from ever falling apart, when the gods made the world they split it in half. One half for the beings of light to prosper, the other for the denizens of the dark to spread. To make sure the two never met, the gods combined their power and created a barrier, enforcing the two sides of the world to stay separate. The two gods, pleased with their work, then left to let the world run itself. This is a legend that was supposed to be honored, to be remembered. But sadly it was never told, the people blissfully unaware of the other side or of their creation.

Millennium past and the two halves prospered in their own unique ways. The light became a futuristic paradise. Advanced technology, items of energy, flying machines, and never ending sunlight. The half of light is truly a paradise. The dark formed its own features as well. Mythological creatures, powerful magics, and an eternal full moon in the sky. The dark is a wonderful land of mystic wonders.​

~-Story-~
Over the countless millennium of the world, the barrier that separated the two held strong. But nothing lasts forever. The barrier began to weaken, and one day a young boy of the light stumbled into it and accidentally appeared in the land of the dark. He was discovered by an old man of the dark and helped the child. The two spoke and taught the other about the other side and were fascinated to learn what was just beyond the barrier. After hours of teaching and learning, the old dark man helped return the child to his land of light. Once the boy returned he began to tell his people about the dark. The old man went and did the same in his land, telling the dark about light.
The people of the dark believed the old man had lost his mind. He was ignored, disgraced, and eventually killed. The people of the light however took the child seriously, believing every word he said. When the leaders of the light heard the child speak, they began an evil plan. They believed that the dark was threatening them. They wanted to erase the dark from their world and take their lands for their own. So the light leaders ordered that they would go to war with the dark, claiming that it was to spread their happiness with the other side to hide their true motives.
It happened in just a few days. The light gathered its power and shattered parts of the barrier separating the two lands. The dark only just realized the old man was right before they were brutally assaulted by the armies of light. The light was ruthless, it captured and killed everything in its path. The dark was soon forced into its capital where it has since been holding its defense, the final piece of dark in the world.
The dark was out of answers, it needed a way to end the war. They were clearly outmatched so forcing the light out through war was out of the option. They couldn't think of anything so in the end, they turned to the ancient sages of the dark. Beings said to have lived from the very beginning of their world, they've foretold all the major events of the dark up until now. The sages predicted that the fate of both sides would rest on the shoulders of two dark twins that just reached their teenage years. The people of the dark were confused but believed in their sages. They quickly found the twins and told them of their destiny. The twins were startled that they were to be the saviors of all, but had no time to learn anything else. The dark was anxious for the war to be over, and threw the twins straight into the light conquered lands. Now they are stranded, they can't return to the dark capital, and have no clue what to do. How can they save everything?​

Name: Hime Ladian

Age: 13

Gender: Female

Side: Dark

Role: Twin

Personality: Hime is a kind girl, she doesn't like to fight and she won't either. She'd rather talk a problem out or just run away from it. She's got a grudge against the light for ruining her homeland but she still won't be violent. Hime loves her twin and will do almost anything to stay together. Hime loves cats and anything to do with them, hence her appearance.

History: Hime was born in the dark capital along with her twin thirteen years ago. They lived a pretty normal life for any dark person. Hime learned a little bit of magic from their mother, finding she had a natural talent for it. However Hime never bothered to learn more than what she did because she never saw a reason to. Hime just enjoyed spending time with her twin and their friends.
Hime was walking home one day when she heard the old man speaking of the light side. Like the others, she laughed at him. There was no way such a place could exist, it just wasn't possible. She deeply regrets not listening to the man when he spoke. When the light attacked, Hime stayed home with her twin and tried to avoid anything to do with the war. She hated the fighting and hated the light for causing it. What did they ever do to them? Like the others of her people, she went to listen to the sages for the answer. Imagine her surprise when they declare everything rests on the shoulders of two teenage twins. Hime like the others wanted to find these twins and help them. Only two days later, a group came knocking and explained that they were the twins. Hime couldn't believe it and thought they made a mistake but it didn't matter. The dark leaders told the twins to go stop the war and snuck them out of the city. Hime has since been left outside the capital with her twin, not knowing what to do.

Weapons & Powers: Hime doesn't have the slightest in combat training, she's never had to be violent. She has a natural talent for magic but only knows two spells. One heals small wounds, nothing bigger than a broken bone. The other lets her freely change her form into a cat and back. She keeps her ears changed to a permanent cat form just because she likes them better that way.

Appearance: Just turn the brown ears black.


i have no special requirements for the twin except that his/her SU have them be just as confused as Hime.


also of note is that i will be moving soon so the rp won't start until after i move, you've got a couple weeks to make your SU. just know it's first come, first serve for the roles.

Role: Light Warrior

Personality: Levis is cold, calculating, and utterly merciless. He only cares for the task at hand and doesn't care how it's accomplished. He fully believes in the words of the Light Elders and obeys them without question. He hates the dark, like most of the Light and wants to completely destroy it. Levis will use any opening or trick he can to finish off an enemy and he doesn't restrain himself no matter who he fights.

History: Levis was born in a town close to the barrier between light and dark. From a young age his father taught him how to fight without weapons, so that no matter what happened he could defend himself. One day Levis contracted a disease that causes him to choke on normal air. His father spent all their money getting him the operation for the suit. The operation was successful and Levis has been looking at the world from within it ever since.
Throughout his life Levis has had the suit modified since he continued to grow, after all the machine wouldn't grow with him. To pay for the constant upgrades, Levis started working at a young age. At first just doing hard labor but eventually doing more intellectual jobs. When the young boy began talking about another side of the world, a dark side, Levis was one of the few that didn't believe it. It wasn't until the Light Elders ordered an attack on the dark that he considered the possibility. After seeing some of the fighting near the borders, Levis decided to help and had his suit modified for combat. A week later and he joined the light army. He quickly rose through the ranks and became one of the Light's best warriors. Levis doesn't regret his decision; after spending just a small fraction of time in the dark land he's grown to hate it and now wants it obliterated; something he plans on doing.

Weapons & Powers: His suit is his power. With it he has the ability to fly. He can also make barriers of light in front of his hand. He can fire small bolts of light on command and is an accomplished martial artist. His suit is not only for his offense but is his very life support. He can never remove his suit or he'll die.

ok, now that i've moved, this will hopefully get more attention. i want a couple more people before i start this though

 

need more people.

 

couple things; there is only one language
try to disguise it as you might, that character uses magic and thus should be dark.

 

you missed a language bit in the history section and tarot cards are magic summoner. that was my original thing about magic. again you miss subtlety.

 

never played FFX2 but i know tarot cards as one of my cousins is into them and is always talking about the mystical qualities the cards have.

and just changing the cards to a pole doesn't get rid of the magic if the abilities remain exactly the same. seeing the future, that's magic. boosting allies and confusing enemies; depending on how that could be magic.

 

boosting through tech and confusing through tech is fine but 'how'? would the character just flip a switch and suddenly allies are stronger? no cause thats the same as magic. the future thing has to go but the other two don't so long as you explain the how.
