Heartless Unbound!

Jordan leaped down behind Hikaru. "What? Do I not smell as pleasent and pure as you would have hoped?" Jordan circled the girl, examining her. His red eyes made it seem as though he was looking into one's soul. He searched her, hoping to find an imperfection.....he did not. "Tell me, are you what they call a 'Key Bearer," Jordan asked. He tried to not sound so threatening, but it came natural with his rough background.

 

Hikaru still remained pinching her nose before letting it go.

"Well I'm definately holding a key shape weapon in my hand, so I guess so, and who are you, are you a being sided with Sin?" Hikaru asked watching the person circling her carefully. She held her keyblade tight in a defensive stance so she could be ready to attack at a moments notice.

 

Jordan almost leaped at her when she asked that. But instead he just stopped his circling and stood completely still next to her. "Don't EVER group me in with him......ever," Jordan said low enough for her to hear him. He continued circling her and even dared to rub his metal hand across the Keyblade, even though it slightly pained him to do so. "You don't know how much power you hold in your hand. Or the abilities you're capable of either.....pity"

 

"Oh yeah, want me to demonstrate it?" Hikaru asked becoming slightly paranoid by Jordan. "I got a general idea of what this thing can do and I'd be happy to demonstrate maybe learn a bit more." Hikaru said to the boy. When she jumped out of the circle in an offensive stance ready to attack at any moment.

 

Jordan looked at her and shook his head. "Well perhaps if I beat you, it'll be good training for when I kill my brother," Jordan said. He drew both of his swords and got into a stance similar to Sora's Valor Form. He looked at her long and hard before saying, "I never caught your name, did I? Mine's Jordan."

 

Hikaru refused to answer him. She looked at him.

"Why exactly are you here?" Hikaru asked Jordan watching him closely for any possible sudden movement. Her keyblade glowed some when she held it similar like Aqua hold her keyblade. She stepped back awaiting his first move she though felt herself trembling again.

'Why do I keep trembling? Am I that weak?' She thought to herself looking down at her keyblade.

 

Jordan hadn't noticed her trembling but answered her question, "My.....'brother' reigns here. He has done horrible things. And he's hurt innocent people. And.....so have I." Jordan went silent, thinking about what he and his brother did when he was younger. He then looked at her and finally saw her tremble slightly. He twirled his blades at a rapid pace to see how she would respond.

 

Hikaru held her ground. His brother reigns here? It made her wonder, is it possible that maybe Sin is his brother?

"Wait is Sin your brother?" Hikaru asked. This boy wanted to kill his brother and if Sin was his brother is could mean she had a common enemy, an ally. Hikaru looked at the Jordan.

"Are you related to that mad man?" Hikaru asked getting impatient.

 

Jordans expression changed to rage when she asked that question. "Mad man," he asked himself. "That mad man is still my brother, and I will NOT allow you talk that way about my family!" He rushed Hikaru and grabbed her face with his metalic hand. He lifted her high into the air, smiling devilishly. But then something snapped into his brain and let her go. He held his head for a few seconds then let go. His face was now covered in confusion and a bit of fear. "I-I'm sorry. Th-Th darkness tends to get the better of me often. Sometimes I just......Sin is indeed my brother."

 

Hikaru looked at Jordan and stood up dusting herself off.

"Well if Sin is truly your enemy, we have a common enemy. He killed my parents turning them into heartless and he almost did the same to me. Fortunately for me, I had a strong heart and light in my heart I was able to conqurer the darkness devouring me and escape. Now I pledge vengenence not only for my parents but the other lives he has taken, I have that pledge with having this keyblade in my hand." Hikaru told Jordan holding it up.

 

"Lucky. I had the oppurtunity to wield the Keyblade, but I was afraid and chose Darkness," he said to her. He thought about her story and bit his lower lip. 'Her parents became Heartless? And almost...her?' He thought to himself. "How long ago was it that this happened? Recently, or years ago?" Jordan, inside, was begging for her to say recently. Like Jordan said earlier, he and his brother did awful things to innocent people. Was Hikaru's family one of the unfortunate victims?

 

"Afraid...? Of the light...?" She asked confused. "How come you were afraid of the light?" She looked at him confused and surprised. She looked at the sky. 5pm, the day flew by faily quickly. Life did always seem to fly past her quickly.

"Sin will be coming out soon." Hikaru stated. "Day went by quickly, then again since the incident life has flown by me, it happened only a week or so ago yet feels like yesterday." Hikaru stated and shook her head.

"I must go though get ready for another long night." Hikaru told Jordan unsure if he was coming along with her or not.

 

A sigh of relief came over Jordan when she said that. He looked up at the sun and saw as it began to set. "I was afraid the light had me mistaken for someone more purehearted. And if the light failed m, how would I defeat Sin then," he told her. He looked back at the sun then said, "I should come with you. You can probably take care of yourself, but I won't take any chances." He hid his swords under his red coat and pulled the front of the coat up so it covered half of his face. He then nodded for her to lead the way.

 

Hikaru looked at him and nodded walking down the path.


Lynx was just returning to the castle from enjoying her feast. She hope to go on another feast with her master. She walked into the castle and saw Sin. She smiled at him.

"Master, I've taken 13." Lynx said to her master.



Hikaru led Jordan into town and up to where she lived. It was on the cliff over looking the town. With her parents dying and people believing she died as well she didn't have her old home. It was just a small cabin sort of thing possibly an old servant quarter for the castle. Hikaru sat down on the cliff over looking Radiant Garden.

 

Jordan stood behind her and looked at what he thought was a magnificent view. He sat down next to Hikaru and looked at her face. "You look so serious. You should learn how to loosen up," Jordan said. He never did enjoy it when someone was in a bad mood. Jordan was only mean and threatening when needed. But the real Jordan was just a genoruos and honest guy. So after their first meeting, Jordan tried to make a better impression.

 

Hikaru just let out a small laugh.

"I'm not serious, just always thinking." Hikaru told Jordan. "About the past why did my parents get swallowed in, why was I almost swallowed yet my life was sparred, awakening with a weapon of legends in my hands?" She explained to him. "I'm always thinking about the future too, will Sin ever get defeated, will I see my parents again, will I remain a keybearer or will I go back to my old life?"

 

Jordan just laughed. "Look, yesterday is history. Tommorow is a mystery. But today is a gift. Why do you think it's called the present?" Jordan tried to get her to sop thinking and worrying so much and make her enjoy what's going on right now. "Just enjoy what's going on now. You're not a Heartless, you have the power to defeat Sin, plus you got me. Though that last part could be a curse too." Jordan laughed again then felt a breeze coming, however, he hardly felt it. "By the way, you still never gave me your name."

 

Hikaru smiled with the few jokes he made.

"I guess so..." Hikaru said smiling. She looked out at the town again feeling the breeze.

"Oh..." She said when he asked her name. "Sorry about that." Hikaru said to him. "My name's Hikaru." She told him extending her hand.

 

"Hikaru," he said to himself. He saw her hand and graciously shook it. "Well then, I'm glad I met you, Hikaru" He made a brief pause before he said her name the second time. He smiled at her then stood up saying, "Well I'm beginning to get a little hungry. Have anything inside?" The wind almost blew the bit of coat covering half of his face down but Jordan quickly held it so it wouldn't slip.

 

Hikaru stood up and shook her head.

"No unfortunately, there may be a loaf of bread left, but not much." Hikaru explained. "I should have enough munny to eat at a diner in town." Hikaru told him pulling out the small pouch of munny. She opened it up revealing 4000 munny(which isn't a lot at all, it's pretty little).

"Well I know I'm going back to work tomorrow." Hikaru said. She slid the pouch back in her pocket.
