Ao watched as Sora's prey walked off with the others and turned around to face Gryphon, "Man, you have to share a place with those thickheads? And you keep commenting on how Ice and I are tough." Ao smiled, trying to cheer the boy up. He would've even offered to let Gryphon stay with him, but number one, Ao's cabana was not big enough for to people, and number two, he could barely afford to keep the place together on the weak salary he made as a carpenter working for Sora's father.

Gryphon turned to the direction from which Ao's voice was coming from, "It's not so bad," he began, "From what I'm told, the orphanage is very beautiful, and there's lots of places for me to practice my fighting by myself." A breeze flowed through a window in the dining hall and onto Gryphon's face. He smiled, "Um.....Could someone lead me outside to the beach? I'd do it myself, but this rooms sounds like it's awfully crowded."

Sora stood angry of the other orphans and was back at the table and listened in on the conversation. That's when she had an idea, her father had a spare room in their home with no furniture, surely some furniture could be built and Gryphon could live there work as an apprentence for her father just like Ao. Sora liked this idea and wrote a mental note to talk to her father about it when Gryphone stood up.

"I'll help you." Sora said standing up to lend a hand.

Jordan looked around, trying to keep up with the current conversation. It seemed like Gryphon needed a home due to him being an orphan. 'Damn, feel sorry for the. Without my aunt I'd be in the same place,' he thought. He took a big bite of his apple and said, "Hey Gryphon, if you ever need a place to stay, I'm more than sure my aunt wouldn't mind if you stayed with us. Oh, and if ya' didn't know, I'm Jordan." Noticing the fruit on the table was hardly touched, he grabbed and orange and began peeling it.

Gryphon took Sora's hand and turned to Jordan, shocked by his offer, "N-No, that's okay, the elders say I have to stay at the orphanage until they say I can leave anyway." As Sora led Gryphon outside, he blushed as he felt the warmth of her skin and attempted to learn more about her, "So....Do you fight?" he asked.

Sora wish he could get away from those kids. She would still try.

She helped lead Gryphon outside and once at the beach she stopped. He asked her a question.

"One of the only girl's who does fight, and one of the strongest fighters on the island. I'm more of a tomboy than a girl I guess." Sora told him. "I'm kind of surprised you've never heard of me." Sora stated.

Slightly embarrased by her last remark, Gryphon felt along the ground until he found two very sturdy, straight sticks. Tossing one in Sora's general direction, he assumed his battle stance with the other. "Well....L-Let's see if your as good as you say!" Gryphon said, trying his best to sound tough.

Sora just laughed slightly picking up the strong stick he tossed her.

"Well I'm not going easy on you at all blind or not." Sora stated. She took her battling stance awaiting the first move. She closed her eyes focusing in on Gryphon before opening her eyes.

"Lets see how hard you've trained." She told him.

Nervously, Gryphon used all of his other senses. It was no secret that his blindness gave his other senses much more strength. He felt where the wind did not flow, hitting Sora's body instead. He heard Sora's breathing and the waves hitting her feet just a few yards in front of him. Quickly, with a decievingly amount of precision for a young blind teenager, Gryphon charged Sora and swung the stick at where he knew she was.

    Quickly Sora blocked the attack.

"I don't think so..." Sora said to Gryphon pushing him back and swinging down at his feet.

"You're going to have to be quicker, that's my skill is being quick and flexible." Sora stated Continuing to swing at Gryphon before hopping back from him.

Gryphon gave a battlecry in his somewhat high-pitch voice before unleashing a flurry of controlled and carefully planned blows. Eventually, he felt one of the attacks hit Sora harder than intended. He stopped and looked worried, "I'm sorry! Are you okay?"

Sora fell back nad laughed. She swung her leg making him fall on the ground again.

"Don't let you guard down." Sora said returning the same attack he sent her. She stood panting slowly getting out of breath but smiled. The battle was pretty much over. She stood ready just in case a future attack would come.
