The Key Bearer's Sleep

"Huh?....Oh!...I'm Gryphon," Gryphon answered, then started twidling his fingers. Gryphon reached directly in front of him for some food when he remembered that he had dropped his plate. Gryphon calmly put his arm back on his side, dspite his stomach growling loudly for everyone at the table to hear. "so what do all of you do for fun?" He asked the trio.

 

Sora looked up at him.

"That would be me." Sora said. She looked over at Ice as he asked the boy's name. She nodded and looked over at Ao who seemed mad, distressed and stuff. Gripping his skull. Sora snapped back to reality when the boy answered his name, Gryphon. That's when she saw him reach for something then put his arm back down and she heard his stomach growling. He ignored it though and asked them what they did to fun. She shook her head and stood up.

"Well, before I answer that question you need some food in you for energy later on in the day, I can get it for you if you'd like?" Sora told him.

 

"Oh!....Thank you.....but that's okay.....I can get it," Gryphon said, immediatly blushing as soon as he heard her voice. He got up and immeadiatly tripped over a chair another orphan had put in his way, who laughed as he did so. Gryphon, oblivious that it was intentionally, laughed with him, and, looking in the direction he believed Sora was in, said "Well....Maybe I could use some help."

 

Sora nodded.

"Ice can you help him, there's something else I got to take care of." Glancing over at the laughing orphan before walking off.

Sora walked up to the table the orphan sat at.

"Haha you're so funny." Sora said being sarcastic, her arms crossed looking at him. "What do you think you're doing, picking on him. You want to pick on somebody, try picking on me instead." Sora told him. Anyone was smart enough not to, Sora was one of the most beautiful, coolest, and popular girls on the island, but she wasn't like the rest of the girls who cared about looks and such, she was more of a guy, so guys also knew to stay away when it came to picking on and such.

Sora crossed her arms looking at the orphan. "Well, peanut brain. Only someone with no real intellegence pick on people to make it seem like they have some intellegence." Sora told him leaning forward arms crossed.

 

Gryphon looked down, wearing a frown on his face, Sora could not tell, but Gryphon's enhanced hearing let him hear her quite easily. He honestly did not know that the orphan tripped him on purpose, he did not think anyone would be cruel enough to trip a blind orphan. Feeling his way over to the rail that overlooked the sea, Gryphon slumped his chin into his crossed arms. He thought of his parents, and how he barely ever knew them. He felt the wind on his face, the sea breeze always felt nice to Gryphon, even when he was sad.
You don't feel too sad, do you? A voice echoed in his head. (OOC: This is NOT the same voice as Ao's)
'Looking' around, Gryphon tried to find the source of the voice, but feeling around, Gryphon could tell that nobody was standing by him.
Don't worry, good times are ahead of you...
Clutching his head, Gryphon felt his way back over to the table where Ice was. Nervously, he started to speak to him, "S-So....Is it true that you're the best fighter on the island?"

 

Gryphon's ears perked up upon hearing the voice he knew belonged to Ao, and he started to become afraid, "H-Hi Ao......" he said. He remained silent for a moment, and then thought of something he could do to get to know the two boys better. "Is it true that the both of you are the best fighters on the island?" He asked Ao and Ice.

 

"That's what they've told you?" Ice smiled and laid down a plate of fruit and a pancake next to Gryphon, "I think they've got it wrong. Ao here is good for absolutely nothing when it comes to fighting." He was mocking Ao, knowing full well that they were an equal match. He had a small smirk on his face before he realised that Gryphon didn't know that he was joking.

"Well, he's an alright fighter, I dare say there's better than both of us though, how about you? Can you hold your own?" He asked to Gryphon.

 

"Well......I-I like to think so....I practice everyday, but I've never actually fought anybody......" Gryphon responded.

The orphan sat there with eyes wide, not sure how to respond, "There something I can help you with Sora?" the orphan asked, attempting to keep his composure in front of his friends, "I don't have time to flirt with you."

 

"Oh! I'm Gryphon," he replied, "I've heard about you and Ice, they say you're the best fighters on the island," he said, his slightly less mature age than Ao and Ice showing through the admiration in his voice, "They say that when you're fighting eachother, you put on a great show! And when you're fighting as a tag-team you guys are unbeatable!" His smile quickly diminished as he put a hand to his blindfold, "I wish I could've seen it....."

 

"Since when did anyone ever fight in a ring on this island?" He then went to reply to Gryphon's comment. "Yeah, it's a shame about that..." He paused for thought,"Maybe if you could just hear us fight it would give you a good idea of what it's like. What do you say, Ao?"

He immeaditley turned to him and sipped on his wine, "Wouldn't it be fun?" He asked with a very slight smile on his face.

 

"If you're the rusty one, then you can't blame me for the fact that we're 4th, besudes we've got a fight later on today, you could do with a friendly just to get yourslef warmed up."

He walked away from the table to get a pancake, and returned dissapointed.

"Unless of course, you're scared... I promise I won't hurt you."

(OOC: When we gunna get the actual thing started, I can't stand this one scenario.)

 

"Very funny, you know very well what you did. And how often do I flirt?" Sora said perking an eyebrow when he said he didn't have time to flirt. That was one thing about Sora, she was a tomboy, not a girly girl, a tomboy. She didn't flirt with the guys, she hung out with them taking part in a lot of the guy stuff, one of those was fighting. She was willing to fight the kid right now on the spot if she had to. It was another thing, just because she was a girl doesn't mean she's not a strong fighter, in fact Sora is one of the best fighter challengers on the island.

"Well peanutbrain?" Sora said her arms crossed.

 

"Sorry Ao, you must have missed what this punk did to poor kid over there. Knowing very well that he's blind he went and tripped him, tripped the kid, laughed and unfortunately Gryphon didn't know it was on purpose and laughed along. I don't stand around and let it go past me seeing such rude and unrespectful manner go past me." Sora stated crossing her arms looking back at the boy.

 

"Room for one more?" Jordan walked over with a bag of freshly picked fruit. He quickly pulled himself a seat, turned it around, and sat in it with him and the back of the chair facing the table. He pulled out an apple from the bag and began to eat it. "So, who's this kid?" Jordan in a joking manner poked Gryphon about three times in the back and laughed. He then put the bag of fruit on the table for the group to enjoy if they so wished. "So anything new," Jordan asked, interested in whether or not they were going to do something today.

 

Gryphon was starting to feel slightly annoyed being asked the same question constantly, but still answered with a nervous smile, "I'm Gryphon...." his attention then turned towards Sora and the orphan, "Please Sora, don't start a fight for my sake, he's not worth it."
Seeing the oppurtunity, the other orphan and his friends stood up, "Whatever, see you back at the orphanage, Gryphon," he said, him and the others walking away.
