Central's Chosens...

Turkish stepped into this very same house, underneath the very same night sky. He caught a glimpse of a small girl running up the stairs, "Another one?" He thought to himself. He stepped through the curtains into the secret room. Remnants of images lay scattered in the pot, drifting around before finally sinking and boiling.

Turkish looked at the shelves around him, powders a potions a plenty adorned on them , he carefully plucked one from behind some cobwebs and looked at it's label. "This should do."

He shook a small amount of it into the cauldrun, it bubbled very slightly, not the correct reaction, he poured some more in and it began to sizzle and spit, until it began to burn on contact. He looked into it carefully and saw the fragments come together to show the same list.

He stepped out, and into the dark,"Is Eli really that concerned about us? Why can't we kill him now?"

 

"If you order it, then I'll do it. Nothing more, nothing less. I adere to the rules Frankie, you should know that better than anyone. I just want to get the job done as quickly as possible."

He paused and looked around slightly, "However, if causing a bit of mayhem in Earth is going to get the holy divines to rain fire and brimstone down upon me, and by that I mean if it annoys them and get's the job done I'd do it without orders."

"You know I'm impatient, so, Frankie." He extended his hand,"Would you care to join me, or are the kiddies too much stress in one day?"

 

A boy sat down on his seat in the back left, away from the rest of the students in his class. The others always teased him for his small size and his weird powers and also....his lack of essential powers. He hated his helicopter hair, which turned by itself like blades in random moments. To keep it under control, he always worn a hat ontop of his head.
"Hey, helipad, catch this!" a muscular jock like boy shouted, as the teacher was distracted, telling off a girl for sticking her tongue out at a guy, flirtatiously. Suddenly
Suddenly the boy threw a rotten apple at him but as it was about to hit the boy in his face, a girl with blue hair stepped in front of him, taking the blow.
"Leave Rhett alone...." the girl solemnly told him.
The jock like boy stood upto his feet with his fists clenched.
"Make me..." he growled.
The girl stepped down, scared and returned to her seat next to the boy. She was his soul and protected him as much as she could. She coughed, as the bad smell set in. Rhett looked over at his soul. "Thankyou, Celia"
A man with a pointed blue hat and glasses, which were dirty from experimenting with different chemicals stepped into the class, holding a vile of green liquid. He looked towards Rhett and Celia.
"Rhett, Celia. Come with me. You have been picked for the advanced classes."
"The advanced class? I think you're mistaken, Mr Richter" Rhett asked, confused.
"Yes, your test results from your Science and Magical Theory exams last week were extraordinary. We also think perhaps your magicks would improve if you would join the advanced class."
Rhett stood up along with Celia. She smiled at him and held his hand.
"You see? You are---"
"Seriously lame. How is he in advanced classes? He can't even make a basic wind spell"
Celia sighed.
"Forget about him"
Rhett nodded with a frown and followed the Science teacher.

 

Virgil finished what he was writing before gathering the papers. He did a quick flip through and saw everyone's names so he set them down and was about to begin speaking when Professor Eli came in and asked to borrow two of his students. "Take them. Now class, the transformation ability comes naturally to some so you will be excused from the assignment because as we covered last week; potions cannot grant an ability you already possess. Now, who can give a basic summary to this potion without reading off the page?" Tai raised his hand and Virgil nodded so he could speak.
"The transformation potion allows one to gain the appearance of another for a limited time but doesn't grant any of that persons abilities or knowledge." Tai answered. Selene smiled that her brother was so smart.
"Very good. Now the ingredients are hard to come by and the most difficult thing to avoid when making this potion is to not use an excess of any ingredient. You could violently contort the original purpose of the mixture or in the worst case scenario make it a permanent transformation. You will all spend the rest of the period learning the exact way to make one because tomorrow you will begin your own brew under my supervision." Virgil then sat down and grabbed the papers so he could begin grading. Tai smiled, this was the only reason he didn't storm out of the Professors class along with most of the other students. He frequently had them actually making potions and testing them, he always made sure to have a fix handy if someone did something wrong so nothing serious ever happened. The worst incident was a kid blew up a whole wing of the school. Nobody was hurt though and Virgil had paid for the damages himself Tai started reading as Selene finished the notes. This was the only class she couldn't goof off in because she sat next to him, he'd hit her if she stopped studying.

 

"And since when was I virtuous?" He turned around and paced up and down the hall for a second,"When were you virtuous?" he paced again, this time towards the door,"I'm off to Earth then, I'll make sure not to get hurt or kill anyone, well I can't promise anything but I'll try not to anyway!"

And with that he was out of the door before Frankie could complain. He summoned his car in front of him, a BMW 6 Series with manual transmission for any car enthusiasts out there. He opened the door and prepared to step in when he noticed something on the bonnet of the car. "Hang on a second..." he stepped around and inspected closely,"Is that a scratch?" Indeed it was a scratch, annoyed Turkish retraced hist tracks and climbed into the car. He drove.

When he stopped driving he found himself somewhere in America. Tall buildings stretched and towered above him, he got out of the car and walked out of the small alley he was in. The opening widened and cars shot past, infront of him was a roa, but behind a wonderful beach.

"First things first..."

He summoned up his weapon, the dark tendrils whipping at the air and curling around his hands, they felt around to make sure everything was familliar, and once they were sure of their owner, the owner got to work.

He started by slicing a car in two, then he summoned some tendrils to take care of some more cars. The shot as speed towards the vehicles, plucking and slinging, tossing and twirling cars back into the road. Eventually the ruckas had been reported and flashing blue lights headed towards the black vines of death. Turkish allowed the tendrils to do some work before finally dismissing them and preparing into a fighting pose. He ran towards the oncoming traffic consisting primarily of police vehicles and began to lay in as heavily as he could. A slash and the first officer was dead. He summoned some darkness to fire a car up as protection from numerous bullets as he slashed at the legs of the second officer, quickly followed by third.

He sped towards the fourth police officer and slashed at his weapon, he punched him, punched him again and threw him up into the air, before teleporting behind him and throwing him to the ground. He then proceeded to slash at the fuel tank of a police car before throwing it towards a group of officers and killing them all.

Suddenly helicopters had mobilized and Turkish grabbed two pistols from his victims. "This is the LAPD!" "Put your hands up immeaditley!" Turkish raised both hands, his black leather gloves groped around the guns he had perviously acquired. He shot, and BANG BANG BOOM! The helicopter exploded. He decided that a this point he was satisfied and left, leaving the Americans absolutely clueless to what had just happened.

 

Celia was blushing because of the rancid smell on her shirt. Thank goodness she had a shirt in her locker!
"I'll go and get a new shirt. I'll be right back!" she told Rhett. Rhett nodded, worried about going into a class of level 6 and 7 students. He was small just being in level 2! He didn't understand why he was being entered into advanced classes at all!
The 15-year-old walked into the class, seeing people who were much taller than him. He frowned as he looked at the teacher.
"Am I really in the right class? I'm only Level 2! These guys know much more than me and I don't know how to use magic!!!"

 

The new advanced student smiled.
"My name's Rhett and my soul is called Celia. You'll see her soon. She's--"
"Right behind you" Celia told him, tapping his shoulder. She smiled and instantly looked at Doug.
"Hi..." she said but her voice drifted off. Rhett looked at Celia and smiled.
"I think she's got a crush..."
Celia pushed him lightly but instead he fell onto a table accidentally, casing his hat to fall off, revealing his hair. Suddenly it started to turn as a helicopter's blades and turned razor sharp. Rhett then put his hat on and sighed, embarassed at his realm power. Celia, then blushed. "Um...I'll be at the back..."
She heard laughter from behind her, as she sat down at the back. Rhett, frowing stood back up.
"Things like that happen often to me. My realm power's freaky, huh?"

Rhett smiled, at the sight of them both. From his first impressions, they seemed very outspoken, kind and funny. Celia, still embarassed, took their vial. "Let's try this then"
Rhett agreed in the form of a nod. They gathered their materials and brought them over to their table. Rhett, not very experienced with physical tasks, was worried but they managed to pour the solution correctly and work together on each of their own solutions. Once finished, Celia took a strand of Rhett's hair and placed it inside her cup. She drank it and immediately changed into a clone of Rhett.

Turkish was outside the house again when he looked up into the sky, he'd noticed that earlier Frankie had also looked up into the sky and praised her master. "I don't know why in hell you're messing them around like this but I don't like it. I didn't like coming here, and I especially don't like it that sometimes my head tells me to go to America and kill some rozzers. So whatever your doing, leave me out of it. No more mind tricks, no more nothing, you got that? You got that memorized, written down in your notebook, got the memo? Write it down, record it, set it in stone, leave me out of it! Just tell me what job to do and I'll do it, nothing more, nothing less.

Alia got out of the car. "You ok boss? You look serious."
Turkish turned, he didn't realise that Alia had been in that car, she must have crept in while he was killing the... never mind. "Have you ever thought about what goes on up there Alia?"
She looked puzzled.
"You know the great war of the divines, it's getting on my wits end. I never wanted to come here to hell, I never wanted to be in Central either though, what about you Alia? What did you want to be?"
Alia's mind immeadietley jumped to what she wanted most. "I wanted, and I still want, my own freedom."
Turkish opened his mouth to agree but Alia intervened, "They say that a dieing soul can be set free by some people, not Warlocks, nor witches, but the children. Maybe we could talk to..." Turkish stopped her.

"Frankie wouldn't allow it, she would kill us a second time if we do anything of the sort. She enjoys this job remember, sometimes I do, because he gets into our heads. Have you ever felt it?"
"Never." She replied.
"You will one day, the way you're going you'll become a luitenant in no time." He walked onto the porch and through the door of Frankie's house.

Alia stood still, awestruck, Turkish was so charming and nice she thought. He was handsome and clever and just all round amazing. "I'll kill Frankie and Him myself if I have to." she muttered under her breath. She followed Turkish just in time to here him ask "Is it midnight yet?"

 

Tom sighed, getting up from his seat. "Any idea as to what for, Claire?"

"Nope." She answered. "Sorry."

"No need to appologize. We just might as well get going. Wouldn't want to give my teammates the wrong idea about me. After all, you're the one who's always telling me that I should reach out to friends."

"That's right." She smiled.

"Did Professor Eli sound concerned when he announced us? Although I wonder why he'd call the newest group."

"Let's just go."

 

Rhett and Celia followed them, wondering if it was urgent for them to come to the office. The professor did sound urgent....
When they entered the office, soon after Cassie and Doug, they overheard that they were going to "take your squad on an early mission". Sweat was running down Rhett's back because firstly, the stairs were hard to climb and secondly, he did not know that they needed to go out on missions because at 2nd Level, you wouldn't usually listen to what the advanced classes are doing over the PA.
Rhett stepped forward, confused. "Are you sure this is a good idea? I barely know my powers"

 

Tai and Selene walked in last, only just hearing something about Earth and Cassie's power."So we're leaving already?" Tai asked. "Weren't we supposed to get some training first?" Even Selene looked worried, and she never lost her smile.
"Yeah my brother's right. We're not ready." Selene and Tai both didn't want to go yet cause they didn't want to get hurt or in trouble.


Virgil groaned as he finished up some paperwork. He was going to give Cassie, Doug and the new students a detention for making the potion. After all he said they were to study and make the potion tomorrow, not today. When Eli's announcement for the advanced students went out early Virgil was a little puzzled. He typed a few things into the computer on his desk and sighed when he saw that Earth was in trouble. Eli, always worrying about everything else. Besides, I believe the headmaster planned for this. Although it is earlier than expected. Whatever, Eli will handle it and dress it up as the students training exercise.

 

The Warlock stepped out of the house,"Right then Alia, you ready?" She nodded and summoned her broomstick behind, twirled it about infront of her and hopped on it, Turkish produced his and stood on it. He hated them anyway so there was no reason why he would have to use it properly. They set off.

"So where we going anyway?" Alia asked with a smile,
"Didn't you hear Cassie, we're going to Earth."
"I knew that. I mean where on Earth?"
"Oh, a place called London in England."
"London?"
"Yeah, fish,chips,tea, Mary Poppins, London."
"Oh, sounds..."
"Bland?"
"Yeah."
"That's because it is bland Alia."

As they approached the tower Turkish explained that this was called the Big Ben, "Well, actually it's the bell inside, but if anybody says Big Ben, they mean here, that could be important if we ever have to do some recon here."
Alia nodded and smiled, they both met up with Frankie down on the ground."So what do we do now? Wait for the kiddies?"

 

Tom slowly walked towards Eli's office. The hallway was completely empty. Tom sighed as he walked. "Claire... I've got a bad feeling about this."

"Why?" She asked him.

"Eli sounded concerned when he called us. We just started the Advanced Studies group today, and he's called us up to meet. I don't like the sound of this. What if things turn bad?"

"I'm sure you all will be fine." Claire smiled at him, trying to cheer him up.

"I hope so. But, if things do turn bad, is there a chance I can get some of your energy. If I have to end up using Tsukuyomi or Amaterasu, I don't think I'll have the energy to keep fighting."

"Sorry. I don't think I can do that. But I can support your other flame techniques. Do you have your Flying Thunder God seals?"

"Yeah." Tom answered. He had a notebook in his hands. He flipped through the pages. They all had the same design on each page.
