Sorry it's been a while guys, let me leave it as I've been busy this week and right now I'm writing this eyes half closed and everything, anyways here's new details on the new titles released for the Kingdom Hearts series...

SOURCE- Nomura reveals new details for Kingdom Hearts Re:coded and Kingdom Hearts 3DS

    Kingdom Hearts re:Coded
    - Re:Coded is being developed to allow more fans to experience the game, the DS was selected as most people have the hardware.
    - Another reason for the hardware choice is that Coded was developed with the lack of analog in mind.
    - The story will be the same as Coded, but aside from the event scenes the game will see many major changes.
    - The game is targeting more casual gamers, and will have an adjustable difficulty setting like The World Ends With You.
    - The design concept for Re:Coded is Coded+358Days+BbS.
    - The co-director of BbS is supervising the battle planning for the game, while the same team will be handling the map design.
    - The level up system in the game will be an expansion of the ideas from 358 Days
    - There will be multiplayer elements, including avatars which can be unlocked featuring the characters from BbS, and Lightning from FFXIII.
    - There will be a secret movie in the game.
    - Currently 80% complete.
-(SOURCE: Tetsuya Nomura Talks Kingdom Hearts, FFXIII Spin-Offs) Kingdom Hearts re:Coded scene game play will be similar to Square Enix other popular Nitendo DS game, The World Ends With You

    Kingdom Hearts 3D
(not much new info, but, some)
This game is not a remake, it is a brand new entry in the KH series.
    - This is the next stage of the franchise after Coded/358/BbS.
    - Sora and Riku will be the playable characters in the game, and they will be visiting new worlds.
    - There will be various hints relating to this game hidden in Re:Coded.
    - There should be more information and announcements at next year's E3.

Now as I'm still looking for the secret video of Kingdom Hearts 3D displayed at E3, nothing has yet surfaced from what I've been looking at, but here's just a minor update for all of you, so enjoy and discuss :)

EDIT- another little update not in need for it's own thread or anything, but I'm sure you'll all enjoy this one.

Now how many of you have mentioned wanting to see Pixar characters or worlds in Kingdom Hearts, guess what guys, Normura is thinking about doing it possibly in Kingdom Hearts 3D, so if you weren't already excited for it, now you have a bigger reason to be...

I'm not incredibly interested in either of these games yet. I do like that Sora and Riku will be the playable characters of the 3D title, and though it had already been said in some other thread that the 3D title wouldn't be a remake, I'm glad to hear it again. If they can't get to working on KH III, at least we can get something original.

It's also good to know that Re: Coded is already 80% complete.

The source didn't really say much of anything- just that Nomura's aware of the fans' requests and that "maybe one day Pixar characters will be featured in the KH series." That doesn't really sound like the kind of statement that's committed enough that Pixar fans should start getting their hopes up.

Nice find though, Dawn, and thanks for sharing.

Cool, another ds game for me to get. Gonna have to upgrade soon though or BBS will be beyond my reach. That is unthinkable.

    My imput:

WHY!!!!! Why work on these games and not on KH3!?!?!?!?! They look cool and all but shouldn't this time be put into KH3!

Well, for one time is being put into Versus XIII.So even without these we have that going on and taking time away. Then we got Coded, which is showing us alittle more of the story, and more of Mickey...though he isnt the main guy.BBS,ofcourse, shows how things began, atleast for the emergance (or possibly remergence) of heartless. How the next two fit in,we are not quite sure as of yet,but they still will tell a part of the story we want to know. The less plot holes there be by the end,the better.

This first. Like I said before, I'm fine with them working on KH games, but I want Versus to be finished first. They've been working on that game for at least 4 years or something. And this KH 3D game is only just released.

And as for another reason as to them working on these games and not an unannounced game like KH3 is that it will make them money. KH is a cash cow, and Square is gonna milk it for all it is worth.

Is'nt KH3 gonna be released for the PS3? well i think you cant just release games for the same system. you have to think about portable game system users. plus they might still have to get the storyline for the game down.
by the way, what system is 3D for?
