In the future, Earth's resources are near gone. Large craters began forming where the mined minerals used to be, forests became deadly poisonous swamps, and the oceans slowly turned black with the toxins from the dying marine life. So all the nations pooled together what was left and created a giant spaceship, big enough to hold the whole world. It took 20 years, so long that the Earth had begun to collapse in more places. In fact, as the ship launched, the force of it's takeoff caused the Earth fully collapsed on itself. Earth is dead.
Eventually humanity found another planet that could support them, and the people of Earth united into a single planetary nation, vowing to be more environmentally friendly, so not to repeat the mistakes that forced them to leave Earth. Within a year the new planet had a sprawling city on it, and the people thrived. then one day, a new discovery was made that changed everything. while mining for resources, the miners came across a strange new mineral called Sedo. This new mineral could power a single ship for months on only a few pounds. And what was best, the byproduct of the element was nothing but clean air. The government quickly began more mining projects for this grand new resource. However, some felt something was wrong.
After a couple months of mining and prospering because of the Sedo, a mining crew was found slaughtered. Nobody knew who did it. A few days later and another mining crew was killed the same way. This time though, a survivor was found. He was telling tales of dark terrifying creatures coming from the mines. The government didn't know if he meant alien monsters or just bandits that scared him out of his mind. Either way, they took no chances and gave the remaining crews advanced security. For weeks, nothing. Then one day another group was attacked so fiercely that the mine collapsed. Luckily, one camera from the security force managed to stay intact. They quickly downloaded the footage and viewed it. The sight sparked the newest threat to humanity. The men were being attacked by monsters coming from the cave, each looked dark and grotesque. They killed the humans and then collapsed the mine entrance. The government responded by forming an elite army squad to kill these creatures. The new worlds first war had begun...

The new planet is almost exactly like Earth in that it has oceans, forest, mountains, deserts and fields. In fact even the geography is similar. However, the only wild life is what humanity managed to bring from Earth. The planet was literally lifeless, other than the monsters living underground. The planet is called Erodin

Technology is advanced but not like laser advanced. Think of stuff like the Avatar movie or Gears of War. It's far better than what we have now but not into stuff like Star Wars yet.

    -=[Character Info]=-
The human elite are the toughest of the tough. They have the best armor, weapons and tactics available to humankind.

The monsters don't use human weaponry but their own skills. They're all unique and have their own looks and powers. The humans have labeled them Krinos, but they refer to themselves as the Senol. While they are intelligent, few speak the human language.

    -Humans-
    Captain Drake Drogin [Shadow*91]
    Syros Drenward [LivingDeath]
    Zoren [axel545]
    Sherry Karkat [Insanity]
    -Sinol-
    Elder Lacus [The Storm]
    Vensi [Shadow*91]
    Nanie [Dawn]

The hall of the building was metal, pipes and chromed plating covered the walls. One man however didn't bother to admire the craftsmanship and elegance. Rather he rushed through heading for the war room. Drake's boots made a loud metallic ringing noise with every step. He wore his signature outfit with his signature pistol at his hip. A few soldiers that he passed all stopped to salute him but he didn't return the gesture. He was concentrating to hard on his goal. As Drake entered the war room, there were many generals waiting. Strangely, his own Elite Squad was there as well. "What is my squad here for?"
One of the generals stood up as Drake took his seat. "Because Captain Drogin, while you lead the squad, it's best for them to be up to speed with the same knowledge as you. It saves you some trouble and possibly there lives." Drake just nodded for the general to continue. "Now, as you know, our latest mining installation has been fortified by some of our troops. You will be heading there after this. It is believed the Krinos will attack it soon. You'll be given the latest weaponry and the guards there already know you're coming. You're orders are simple, kill the Krinos and protect the miners as they grab the Sedo." Drake stood up and turned to his squad.
"Ok, we have our orders. All of you are to report to the hanger in one hour. Dismissed!" Drake said. They saluted and left the room. Drake asked the generals if there was anything else and when they said no, Drake headed out after his troops.

Water collected along the rocky lining of the underground caverns of Erodin. The sediment slowly seperated from its jointed layers and began gathering together as the formed a droplet that echoed through the tunnels as it hit the rocky floor. The echo carried through the dampened tunnels to a large cavern opening into what would appear to the human eye to be a heaping construct. From the bottom of the cavern floor to the dew covered ceiling stretched enormous which seemed to be built from solid stone. While the building material seemed primitive, within these stone constructs hid technology never before seen. Miles long, this underground lair was the central hub city of the Sinol race. In the human tongue, the cities name translates as Sepelio. Deep in the heart of Sepelio, the oldest living member of the Sinol race, former Elder of Erodin, was deep in thought.

Lacus paced his study vehemently. The humans had succeeded in pushing further into Erodin's crust and were getting close to penetrating a large cavern full of Sedo deposits. Lacus had been putting much thought into figuring out the best course of action to take. It seemed he had a few choices. On one hand, he could send a group of Sinol to protect and defend the entrance to the large Sedo deposits and fend the humans off from it, the downside being that the humans would know that the Sinol were trying to protect something important to them. On the other hand, Lacus could order an attack group of Sinol to penetrate into one of the humans newly built cities and distract the humans from their mining projects completely until Lacus found a more permanent solution to the Sedo problem, at which point he would pull his forces out of the human's territory.

He decided to choose the latter.

He called upon his guardsmen to bring Vensi to him immediately for breifing.

Large screeches were heard coming from the deep cave that Vensi called home. Within the tall Sinol warrior was training himself, or more accurately his armor. He had managed to salvage the large metal plating of one of the tanks the humans used. Inside Vensi was rushing his claws against it, creating large screeching noises as his claws scratched the metal. Vensi kept at it at a furious pace until suddenly his claws broke through and the metal fell to pieces. Vensi let out a loud yell but quickly stopped when he saw he was being watched. In the Sinol language, a loud shrieking sound, Vensi yelled "Whoever is spying on me come out!"
From the shadows came a small six legged beetle, small to him that is. By human measurements it was four feet tall and long. It answered him by responding in the same loud shrieking. "Vensi, Elder Lacus wants to see you immediately." Vensi nodded and they both left his dwelling before heading their seperate ways. Vensi began runnng at top speed, hoping to beat his previous speed record. Just about everything Vensi did had some ultierer motive towards improving himself. it only took a few human minutes but Then Vensi was outside Lacus' chamber. Vensi straightend himself and entered. Once in the presence of the Elder, Vensi got down and placed his head on the floor at Lacus' feet. "My teacher."

Lacus gave what would appear in the human eye to be an approving nod, acknowledging Vensi's presence. He began low melancholy screech tones in the Sinol language.

"Most excellent to see you again, Vensi..." He muttered as he gestured for the Sinol warrior to his feet. Lacus noticed Vensi's claws were a bit dull on the edges. "I see you have been having trouble with your armor again I take it?" He chuckled dryly.

Sherry Karkat ran up to Drake, her towering stature almost eclipsing the man. Her ever famous Sunday Dinner Special, a weapon that many couldn't use without strength augmenting armor, hung safely at her hip.

"So, cap'n," She began trying hard to stay within his pace, "Where're we goin' next?"

Sherry had a hard time paying attention at those meetings, so her mind tended to wander. Of course, this would always put her in sticky situations, but she's made it a habit to get the instructions from her squad leader.

"If you weren't such a good soldier, you'd be kicked out of the army for your short attention span. We're heading to the newest mine. We're going to protect it because the higher ups believe it will be attacked by the freakish monsters like all the rest." Drake sighed. "We're you paying attention that time or do I get to smack you?"

"No teacher. I was merely strengthening it through training. Rest assured, my claws will be sharp before our next victory." Vensi always referred to battle as victory, for the simple reason that anytime they disrupt the humans they achieve their goal. Vensi stood but he kept his head low. "What would you have me do, my teacher?"

Lacus smiled at Vensi. "As prudent and tactful as ever, my friend. I have a rather important job for you.... As you may have heard, the humans have recently been digging towards a... Well, a particularly hefty deposit of Sedo in one of our Chief Caverns. Obviously, we cannot allow them to reach that goal. What I need you to do first is contact Nanie, inform her of the situation, and have her rally a squad to extract the Sedo from the caverns before the humans reach it. Your next and primary objective is to create a distraction that will allow Nanie to safely extract said Sedo deposits."

Lacus began pacing, "This distraction I have thought over very thoroughly... And I believe the best place to attack would be one of the humans main hubs of population; New New York. Kill, maim, do whatever must be done to successfully take the humans attention away from the mining operation until Nanie can fulfill her part. Do this, and we will be one step closer to Absolution..."

Syros had managed to pack his equipments and supplies on the bag, and eventually he was on going to the hanger already. "The new mine's gonna crack up sooner or later..." thought Syros, he was determined and focused for the mission, that he hoped to deal with the Krinos as soon as possible and bring a glory to the humanity.

The hanger was quite empty, because that he was about 25 minutes earlier than the time that Drake had ordered to. He looked around and there are some people who had arrived on the hanger too, although none of them had he knew.

"Perhaps i should preparing for the departure." thought Syros.

Zoren followed Drake down to the new mine. He hated these things. He had a feeling in his gut that it would kill this world one day. And now he had his proof. The monsters would be the downfall of this planet. He held onto his gun with his finger on the trigger tightly.

Nanie sat high up on a cliff over looking a water fall and sat their meditating. She could feel the magic of the sedo flowing through her body and through the world. Nanie then felt a danger threatening the sedo. She quickly stood up and looked around. She quickly headed back to her village and ran past the elders tent and peeked in seeing Vensi and the elder Lacus. She casually walked in and smiled at Vensi.

"Elder, the humans are attacking the sedo." She said her voice shaking. In this cavern there was a lot of the sedo.

"We know Nanie. Why do you think Teacher had me come here in the first place?" Vensi mocked. He disliked her due to her use of 'magic' as it was called. A real warrior uses their own skills and not some mystic voodoo to fight. Vensi turned to her and looked her over. "You are to gather some of our strongest movers and evacuate the latest cavern the humans discovered while I take our best fighters and attack a human city." Vensi didn't even bother explaining any more but rather he left to go complete his orders. He knew she would just ask Teacher anyways if she needed more info.

(OOC: Ventus, we're not at the mine yet. we're getting ready to go.)

Drake left his subordinates as her walked to his private quarters. Inside was simply a bed, dresser, computer and his rifle.(imagine the Battle Rifle in the Halo series) Drake sat down at the computer and typed up a message for his daughter to see once she got home.

Sorry I won't be home, duty calls. Go stay with the neighbors until I return. Love you, dad.

Drake sighed and got up. He grabbed his rifle and started walking to the hanger. He loved his job because of the pay and the pride he felt knowing he was helping to keep humanity safe. But all the same, he hated actually having to go and do his duty cause he never knew if he might not come back to his daughter. Drake ran his hand through his hair but just looked around as he reached the hanger. He saw the designated ship and also saw that once again, Syros was the first to arrive. Drake walked up and set his rifle down. "You ready Syros?"

Nanie glared at him. She watched him leave. They were good childhood friends, but ever since she was chosen, he's hated her. That broke their friendship on the spot. She turned to the elder. "Do you have a preferance of where to move it?" Nanie asked the elder. She had good ideas where to move it to keep it hidden, but she figured she'd ask anyways.

Sherry hastily ran into the hangar, looking rather flustered.

"Cap'n, yanno I get lost easily in this place!" She complained, silently admitting to herself that there were signs all about to show her the directions - but she still always got lost. She double-checked that all her weapons were loaded and ready in case they were attacked midflight, which didn't happen often. "Are we leavin' now?"
