Momodo Battles RP

"I'm Sakura. As for the momodo battles, we've beaten quite a few, but we don't travel, we let people come to us. Plus it seems where I live is a common place for momodo's to come through. Some have even come to the dojo where I live at and we've beaten them. We usually don't battle unless they attack us." Sakura explained to Zeke. "I don't think I got your name neither, how have you been in this quest?" Sakura asked him. Yumi was listening in on the conversation and looked over at Akira who seemed real nervous and quite. 'I realise we haven't seen each other in almost 2, maybe 3 years, but he's more quite than before. I wonder if something happened, back at home. I never did make it back home from my journey.' Yumi thought to herself. "Hey I'll be right back." Yumi said standing up. Sakura just looked at her when she left but shrugged it off as Yumi walked off toward the river bank.

 

"Water for me too." Sakura said. Sakura looked over at Zeke. "Yeah, that's how most are, we have our own strategy, once we know the momodo level has gone down greatly we'll start traveling accross the world, but as of right now we're just sitting and waiting for the battle to come our way. Less strain on Yumi and I." Sakura told him.

Yumi looked at Akira. "Fine, how has life been at home from when I left?" Yumi asked him. When she sat down on a bolder leaning over the water edge as some fish swam around in the river.

 

The master stopped his last class and went in and picked up the phone. He began to dial Sakura.

"Yeah, I don't see why not, but you can't usually read the other oponents book." Sakura said getting her book out when her phone rang. "Hello?" She picked up her phone. "Hey Sakura, did you get the rice I asked for?" He asked. "Oh sorry master, yeah. I have it, we just ran into old friends of Yumi's." Sakura said. "Ok, but I'm making lunch and I need the rice." He told her. "Fine." Sakura said. "Sorry about that. He can probably wait some." Sakura told Zeke. Sakura got out her book.

Yumi smiled. "I'm sorry." Yumi saidand frowned. "I haven't seen anyone neither." She said. "So has-" Yumi went to say before stopping. "Something's not right." Yumi said and looked back up at the table.

 

"No, but I think I can feel her power." Yumi said closing her eyes and laying her hand on the ground. "Oh no" Yumi said and quickly ran up to the table. "We need to go no! Master is in trouble! Momodo trouble!" Yumi exclaimed. Sakura looked at her and paniced and grabbed her book right away. "At the dojo?" Sakura asked. "Yeah, and this momodo is powerful. We need to hurry!" Yumi said as Sakura got ready for thhe battle.


Master backed up and looked up against the wall and quickly grabbed the two katanas on the wall. They were for deceration and have ran down his family for generations, however the two blades are strong and powerful.

 

Finally home, and out of his school uniform, Kenji plopped onto his bed. Feeling as his body sunk into the foamy mattress. Man how nice it felt. Before he could even doze off, one eye cracked open to see Fate shutting the door to his room shut. A tray of water and miso soup was in the Mamodo's hands as he strode across the room. Standing before Kenji's writing desk Fate set the tray down with a soft metallic thunk, and pulled out the chair.

"Worried about the bathtub baby?" Kenji asked offhand. His partner's ever-witty tongue did not answer, and already the schoolboy wasn't liking his decision to skip.

If Fate was going to be moody about another Mamodo taken down, he didn't want to be around. The boy already had a metaphorical cloud of doom hanging above his head.

"Hey, come on now. We already agreed on this: no moping after battles. It doesn't suit you, Fate." It truly didn't. Despite the Mamodo's gothic look, no part of Fate looked as though it was meant for sulking. Realistic brooding, maybe, but sadness at winning? Nuh-uh. Kenji would have none of it. "You promised your sister you'd win," the book keeper pointed out, "if you didn't win that one fight it would have made her sad - right?"

Turning his head away Fate's voice was just as surlyas Kenji would have hoped, "Still think you should have just let me at them. No spells would have made it more fun."

The two of them shared a brief chuckle at his grim humor. A chuckle tha rolled into laughter.

"Fine then, next mamodo will be one on two. You versus them and without spells. Can't wait to see you bruised and battered carcuss, waiting to get med-ported to the nearest hospital. Just so you know, I'll go with you - but only to keep laughing."

Silence cloaked the room, and Kenji fell into an easy nap while Fate finished his food.

When Kenji woke up, Fate was sitting on the window sill with his legs crossed. His only lavender eye stared out into the city, scanning it. Seeing beyond it, trying to locate the presense of such a disgusting bloodlust.

"What is it?"

"Fight."

Neither one of them said a word as they watched the distant buildings as they scraped the clouds. There was no need to say more.

Somewhere, out there, a mamodo was using their spells.

 

Sakura ran down the road and looked at the dojo. "They're in there, I definately can tell!" Yumi exclaimed. Yumi and Sakura ran into the dojo and saw the momodo fighting in the main room. "Vanido!" Sakura yelled as Yumi then became invisible and quickly moved to the momodo and kicked her in the back of the head. Yumi jumped back. Sakura saw her blurry vision but when she stood still she became completely invisible.

"Don't you think it's not exactly fair to be fighting an elder man." Sakurs said as she held the book in her hand and was looking at the pair. "Sakura, get out of here." Her master said. "Not happening, master. They're a bunch of momodo's who don't have teh gut to face a real challenger, instead they fight humans." Sakura said.

 

Reon scratched his head in disbelief. He had never heard of a Momodo so he was morbidly confused by the words of the boy. "So . . . what's a Momodo?"

Sitting on the bed with crossed legs Indian style, the little boy answered, closing his burning amber eyes and smirking, "HA! Well for starters we aren't human. We come from this place called the Momodo world are come here to battle others in hopes of becoming King or Queen of the Momodo World?"
Reon, who could usually keep up with most things, tilted his head and uttered one word,"Huh?"

 

Tyrell was walking home from school, after another day of boring-ness, he was going to die. His life so far had never been fun, he always made good grades, and he never ever was a goodie two shoes. Any time he could leave school he did, mostly cause he was to smart for it. He could go college if he wanted to, but that would be too much work. He took the short cut into the park when the moment he stepped through the gate he heard a sound. He looked up and out of the sky, he saw a boy falling. He didn't have time to be surprised for at that moment, the boy fell on to him. Tyrell was shocked at first and then got up, he looked down, the boy was okay, he didn't seem to be hurt or anything. "Hey kid, you okay?" He asked, the boy looked up at him and said"Second time this happened, i never thought i'd land on someone though." "How could you not think you'd land on someone in the city?" tyrell asked surprised. "Well really it was like flying, and i thought i could land smoothly." the boy told him. Tyrell was looking at him like he was a fool. "Well if your okay than bye." he said and walked off.

Five minutes later he was walking to his house, as he turned the corner, the same boy popped into his face. "Hey, i never got to ask you your name!" he said. Tyrell looked at him, he was a small boy most likely ten or elven. He had lines going down his face with a book tied behind his back. He hair was past his ears and kinda spiky and everywhere, his outfit was weird too, he had a black sleeveless shirt and a chain on his neck, cargo shorts and between toes sandles. The weird thing was the cape and bracelets he had on both wrist. His cape was down to his knees and black but the bracelets were all around his wrist long too, with a lighting symbol on them. The most strangest thing was his eyes, they were dark purple, he had never seen eyes like that, then they changed to dark yellow. "Kid, your weird, you dont need to know my name." Tyrell said and left again, he went into the alley, kids never go into there, even the weird ones. But he was wrong, soon as he opened his eyes, he was in front of him. Now he was ticked off"Look, i dont know if you want some money or food, but dont ask me okay?" But the kid was still looking at him, "WHAT DO YOU WANT!?" he yelled at him. The kid pulled his book out and pointed at him." If you cant read this, i will leave you alone, just see and if you cant you wont ever see me again." he told him. Tyrell looked at the book, "Fine, but it better not be some weird pop out." he told him, As he took the book and opened it, two thugs came out of nowhere, "Well well well, look what we have here, to little nemo's that lost there way." The thug said aloud. Tyrell looked at him they were nothing, he could handle them, so he opened the book. One of the thugs pulled out a knife, "You should know how this goes, give us the cash, and you live." But Tyrell didn't care, but the book, he could not read at all, he turned it too the next page and the words seemed lighter than the others, plus he could read it, or at least sound it out. So he tried, Z-a-ker. "You can read it!" the boy asked looking happier than ever "This is great!" the boy said. Tyrell didn't know what was so good about it, so he said it again louder, "Yeah i can, it say's Zaker, what does it..." he didn't get a chance to finish, for when looked up, the boys mouth was opened eyes back and a blast of thunder shot out slamming into one of the thugs, blasting him away. The other started and ran. "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!" Tyrell yelled dropping the book."You just shot thunder out your mouth! IMPOSSIBLE!, WHAT ARE YOU A DEMON?!" He yelled out. "No, I'm a momodo, that's my power, you can ready it too, that's great you can help me." The boy said, "With what?" Tyrell asked, "There's a battle going on, who ever wins it will become king, i dont really care for it, i just want to show that i'm not weak like people say i am Also to do what my great great grandfather once did, put this world and my world in a time of peace and stopped the battle. That's what i want to do. Because you can read it, i can fight in the battle." He explained. Tyrell was too shocked to say much, and no pun intend, okay then I'll help you out, just becasue i have nothing better to do, but frist kid, You need to tell me more, and plus whats your name?" "My names Troy! What's yours?" "I'm Tyrell D. Gilliam, nice to meet you." He said. "Looks like where partners you and me, so lets when this battle."

 

"No!" Sakura yelled and ran over to her master. "Sakura,you... you must.... get out of... here..."Her master and father said. Yumi stood there surprise and slowly started loosing her focus on the spell and start fading back into view. She closed her eyes to try and remain focus. "Master, you can't leave!" Sakura begged him. "You've learned a lot and I'm glad I could be your father, and even when I'm dying you call me master, ... so...typical..." Her master said as he began to chuckle which turned into coughing as he coughed up blood. Sakura was crying and closed her eyes. And when she opened them she saw her father's eyes slowly closing, "Take care Sakura, I'll always be with you and I'll always love you as if you were my own daughter..." He said when he finally died. "You always have been my only father, dad..." Sakura said when she had his hand in her hand and hugged it when she could feel his pulse die out when he died. Sakura stood up mad and upset, she was still crying but wiped away the tears and turned around to look at the battle again. Yumi also ran over her appearence completely back. Yumi glanced down at her master and Sakura's father before looking up at Sakura.

"You!" Sakura said looking at the momodo and the user, "You will pay for this!" Sakura yelled as her book began to glow. She opened up the door and saw a third spell show up. She looked up and read the third spell, "Sworediman!" She yelled when Yumi's eyes and body glowed and she gripped her hand togeather into fists and two katana's came up out of her fists and she extended her hands out as the handle was formed and she gripped down on them. Her eyes stopped glowing and she stood in a stance ready to fight.

OOC: Sorry about bringing in the third spell, it just seemed like a perfect time to bring it in, but if you'd like it removed vm/ pm me about it.

 

Yumi grinned and ran forward "Gladly!" She yelled jumping up over Suki doing a flip and attacking the one blade causing it to fall off. She jumped back and felt her arm and noticed the blade when she was attacking it cut her one arm badly. She still stood there ready to fight though. "Come and get me!" Yumi yelled then looked over at Akira and Zeke. "Becareful, but I need you to use a spell, something that will create a lot of smoke." Yumi said. Sakura nodded when Yumi glanced at her. She quickly slid open a door and closed it revealing the small hall way.

Sakura quickly ran down the hall way and came to a turn and stopped at a door. She could see the faint outline of Dante, Suki's book holder. She unsheashed one of the katana's of her father's that was not broken. She opened the door slowly and put her book away for safe keeping when she walked up quitely behind Dante and put the katana's to the back of his neck. "What are you grinning about?" Sakura asked with a serious tone.

 

"Seriously, we just got done doing this!" Despite his griping, Kenji and Fate were of like mind as the two of them barreled down the street. At first Kenji just wanted to ignore the mamodo and rest. When Fate pointed out that another mamodo hadn't joined the fight until some time after, Kenji's morals whined in his ear. There was a difference between opponents who were just ruthless and plain evil. The mamodo who had started the fight was no doubt evil, and meant taking hostages where they found it. Evil meant hurting bystanders who didn't know anything about the fight for mamodo king. If there were other "good" - or at least morally positive - mamodo in that fight it would serve to help them.

After they could be left alone for another time. But right now Kenji didn't like the idea of innocent people getting hurt in a fight they knew nothing about.

Fate was taking strides as long as his legs would permit and still kept pace with the schoolboy. "You mamodo are all freaks," he quipped while shooting a wary glare at his partner.

"You humans are all freaks, too," the mamodo shot back. His lavender eye giving Kenji a equally wary glare. "All tall and whiny."

"Short and scary!" The two continued running, even while butting heads repeatedly.

"Are you really okay with doing this?" Fate asked once their argument subsided.

Kenji's response was a silent, confident smirk. His hand tightened its hold on his purple book. When Fate looked upon his partners determined face, he nodded to himself and leaped ahead, leading the two of them closer and closer to the continuing combat.

 

It's been four months since Tyrell found Troy. In that time they've fought many people, became best friends, no brothers, and have learned more about there powers than before. They practiced everyday almost, there attacks getting stronger, even if it was just two. There thunder bolt was stronger than ever. Tyrell also found the more emotion he put into reading, the stronger it was. They've nearly lost before, have traveled around and beaten many people. They just got a new spell but he hasn't used it yet. This was an adventure for Tyrell, and Troy as well. He's learned all about the battle to become king and what happens if the book was burned. Tyrell vowed to never let that happen. They have flew to japan, that's where alot of momodo would be. Plus Tyrell knew Japanese.
"Troy, if we get into a battle again, were going to use the third spell, okay." Tyrell told him. "Right, but what do you think it's going to be this time? Maybe i get a thunder horse!" Troy yelled out with joy. "Maybe, but who knows." tyrell said.

OOC: so how do i get into fights do i just make them myself or find one of you guys?

 

The smoke soon spread. "One more time Akira, we need as much smoke as possible!" Yumi yelled again then hopped back so she wouldn't be able to be seen at all. She lept up into the air and over Suki again and got a grip on the other wing and pulled her over and slashed at the second wing two times causing it to fall off.

Sakura held her book good as the smoke began to cover. She bent down and spun her leg around to cause Dante to fall to the ground. She stood back up and knocked the boy's book out of his hands and caught it jumping back keeping a good grip on both the boy's book and her own book, even more carefully. "I find that pretty pathetic." Sakura said to Dante.


Yumi heard Sakura and smiled. "I don't know, seems like you're loosing and us winning." Yumi said.
