    In the city of New York, Exists the main the base for the AMS. The AMS, or Aura and Magic Society, exists to teach Aura Users how to use their powers, and to suplement the weakening police force. It's main mission is to seek out the destruction of a sect of evil aura users, though that day is long in coming. Today, on March 15th of the year 2015, a powerful, perhaps one of the most powerful, has finally earned a weeks leave time.
    ~~~~~
    Zackarias looked out of his office on the eigth floor of the main hq for the AMS. He was content, because his long hours of work were finally paying off with some leave time. He looked around his small office, noting the big mess. Something he was definently leaving for when he got back. He grabbed his over night bag, something he kept in case work took him out in the field for a few days at a time, and walked to the elevator. He pushd the button for the second floor, and began the quick journey down. Soon his last check for the week would be in his hand, and it would be vacation time. He idly wondered how many weeks or months he would get. For his hard work, at least a month and a half.
    "Venecia Bahl? Who is that?"
    "I think she's that little misfit. Can barely control her Aura."
    "You mean after FIVE YEARS?"
    "Yeah, that's the one."
    "Why do they keep her around anyways?"
    "I hear it's just grunt work."
    Skating swiftly as hushed tones low enough to avoid their topic's notice, these few phrases passed along from one office cubical to the next. They had been going on for four years now, when everyone realized that said person, Venecia Bahl, wasn't getting anywhere in her Aura User career. At the beginning of it, they had been sympathetic. But with each year that passed, the whispers grew more and more condescending, and at times, scornful of the girl. When she walked through the office, bearing her loads of paperwork, or pushing along a cart of oddities for study, the chattered complaints would die down to near silence, those small gusts of air that one never could hear, but could feel without question.
    Despite their self imposed senses of security, in that their mocking had squeezed by her ears, she had always managed to catch at least one careless utterance. It only ever served to intensify the troubles she was already having.
    This day was no different for her in this respect. The voices continued to flutter as hummingbirds across the gaps between each boxed in desk. And her ears, now primed for the insult, picked up no less, though no more, than three of the voices. Even after her significant succession of days since her arrival here, she still harbored a sensitivity to them. Each one, a knife through her heart, taking its toll on her shaking persona. And it didn't help that this time, she wasn't carting around the standard administrative devices. In her hand, clasped as though her life was existent within its contents, she carried along a trunk that seemed to outweigh her on all counts. With this new accessory, came a new wave of muttering.
    "Where's she going, you think?"
    "Maybe they finally gave her the boot. It's about time, if you asked me."
    They'd have gotten the message, if they hadn't been rolling their eyes, and leaning back in their seats in a genuine lack of concern for their colleague. None of the faceless, nameless speakers had realized that their words had been heard clear enough. And they also failed to notice that the target of these words had bolted into a run out of the main cubical concourse, into the halls dedicated to private offices. Of course, they wouldn't have cared anyway, as it was there that she had often been dispatched. Her path of travel on this day lead to an office she had only visited once before: That of Zackarias.
    She knew his name well, though only because of the name plaque sealed upon his office door, and the reputation he had run up with the administrators. As to whether he had ever heard hers was unknown. But she would be fortunate enough to find out in just a few seconds. She was expected to be in 'close quarters' with him for the coming days, whatever the higher ups had meant of that. Hesitantly, she raised a small, fist-formed hand up to eye level, leaving a quick, soft knock upon the door.
    Marie was on the ceiling. Not to say she had consumed a large portion of alcohol or used any hallucinogens, but she was literally on the ceiling. It would have been unexplainable to anybody but a normal AMS agent, for her powers were beyond the simple 'oh, she can breathe fire' type. But that's not a big point.
    Now, Marie had found her way to the office of a Zackarias, an agent she had only met once or twice on the odd mission. She let herself down from above, landing next to the strange girl.
    "Hey, you're. . . what's the name. . .Verruca? Veronica? . ." Marie asked with a finger on her forehead to think.
    Zackarias stared at the slip of paper that had been given to him. After a few seconds, he looked up at the receptionist. "You have got to be kidding me?"
    "We can't spare you Zack. You of all people ought to know that."
    "But I busted my butt off for this! What about Zerieth or Emily? They're both S class. Zerieth is the freaking number 5 in the top 13 for gods sake!"
    "It doesn't matter. Zerieth was assigned to Afghanistan a week ago, and Emily is dealing with a drug lord in Brazil. Like I said, we can't spare you."
    Zack growled deep in his throat, then turned and walked back to the elevator.
    When he arrived, it was to see a two woman at his office. "Ok. What is this?" He wondered aloud, then strode over to the door. On the way he could hear people murmuring about one of the girls, something about how weak her powers were. He gave each of them a steady glare, until everyone was silent. Debating about a persons abilities behind their backs was incredibly rude.
    He snuck behind them both, listening to one greeting the other. He stuck his head between them, saying, "Something I can help you with ladies?" He smirked at the surprise on their faces.
    Riki signed his name on a piece of paper before placing it neatly on the desk of his superior. It was his mission report for his latest assignment. As soon as he dropped it off, Riki went and headed for the office of a friend, Zackarias. He had heard a while ago that Zack was doing something special for his vacation. Seeing as how Riki was bored of the current locale, he asked Zack if he could join him on his vaction. A quick yes and Riki moved his vaction days back to coincide with Zacks. Everything was set so Riki had been counting the days until this special vaction; which surprisingly Riki knew nothing about, except that it was something new and not here. Riki couldn't emphasise that enough when people had asked him what was so special about this trip with Zack.
    As Riki came close to Zacks office he saw Zack and two ladies. He quickend his pace and asked what was going on. "Hello Zackarias. Um... who are these two?"
    Zack heard the door open near by, but he didn't give it any thought until he heard a familiar voice. "Hello Zackarias. Um... who are these two?" Zack smiled to himself. "Hi Rikki. That was just the question I was hoping to answer. Now One, Who are you guys, and Two, what are you doing in front of my office?" To often one of Zack's fellow S class agents asked newer agents to play pranks on him for them. He controlled a shudder at the egg grenade incident. Since then he was weary of anyone he didn't know near his office door when he wasn't in.
    "There have been reports of another attack on a USA bank in Idaho. A man armed has been using his daughter who looks like to be around the age of 12 to 14 years to rob the bank. We cannot identify the person's identity but it seems as if the two of them are working together. The police force have surrounded the building to try to save the hostage as possible." Daina had a sad face as she made vines come from th eearth to wrap around the security force inside from the ground. "Daddy! Please! Why are you making me do this?! We don't have to do this!" Her dad started to smile as he ran up to one of the safety locks to try and crack the code. "There's no reason for us to worry. WE CAN GET EVERYTHING WE EVER WANT!! You shouldn't have to worry. Your mother is so fragile. She don't know what we're capable of., NO WORK! NO NOTHING! You know that you must never disobey your parents. If you do, then you will suffer." "BUT..." "NO BUTS!" Daina started to look the other way, regretting that she even have such a power...
    It was with a sudden spark that the events formed outside of the office. Venecia, frightened more so than was normal by the appearance of Marie, doubled back away from the door. It wasn't everday (not even at the AMS) that someone blatantly dropping from the ceiling.*In this fright, she let off a shriek, and a brief, sporadic burst if raw kinetic force siphoned from her own person upon her new company. The suitcase she had been carrying fell from her hand to the floor with an echoing klunk. "PLEASE!" she hollard at the girl. DON'T, sneak up on me like that. I scare very easily, as I'm sure you can now tell!"
    She huffed out her chest, in an attempt at making her timid looking figure seem more demanding. It was a tough task to pull, but she figured she was doing a good enough job all the same. "A--" before her next word could escape her tongue, another, this one man, had made his way onto the scene. On her guard more in response to the girl's actions, she wasn't quite as flustered.*
    It also helped that the person in question happened to be the very person she had come to meet. Zackarias, in what glory he had as an agent, looked down upon her. " ..." Often characteristic of her, she was unable to fully articulate her purpose. It turned out to be be well for the better though. Only a few seconds after, they had all been joined by another young man. Introducing himself as Riki, he seemed to be on the friendliest terms with Zack.
    "If you must know," she barked the minute she could do so uninterrupted, "my name is Venecia Bahl." She shot the other female a it's-not-that-hard-to-remember look, and returned to look upon Zack. "The big guys upstairs have told me that if I join up with you, I might just 'man up, and learn to not be worthless.'"
    Riki gave a small look of confusion to Zack but quickly turned his attention to Venecia. "Worthless? I don't think its actually possible to be worthless. A person always has something they can do, especially if you're part of the AMS." He turned his attention back to Zack as soon as he finished. "Well, are you ready to go Zackarias? I've got my stuff sitting in my locker, a quick minute or two to get it. And it's your choice if Venecia comes along. After all, your the one in charge of the trip. That and I don't mind either way. The more the merrier."
    "Worthless?" Zack asked at the same time as Riki. "Is that even possible?" Still, from the girls I.D., she has apparently managed to achieve that. She was low rank, and he didn't feel a lot of power coming off of her. Zack was snapped out of his musings by Riki asking, "Well, are you ready to go Zackarias? I've got my stuff sitting in my locker, a quick minute or two to get it. And it's your choice if Venecia comes along. After all, your the one in charge of the trip. That and I don't mind either way. The more the merrier."
    "Like I get a choice? Who am I to argue with the wisdom of the higher ups."
    He strode past everyone and swiped his card to open his office. "Come or stay, it's entirely up to you. I don't really care either way."
    Zack had been working through the 1 week problem, and had finally come up with an answer. Originally he was going to go to hawaii. Now he had an even better idea. A lot of dimensional rifts had been appearing lately, so why not hitch hike on a few of them? So long as he kept his internal compass pointing home, it wouldn't be to hard to get back. "One thing for sure, you will all enjoy the trip." He was grinning at the thought, though he didn't let anyone see. He grabbed his suit case, and walked back out of the office. He locked it, then lead them all to the elevators, checking his watch. If his math regarding the rifts had been right, one would be scheduled to open a mile west of here. Good timing, he thought.
    >Since no has posted, I guess I'll continue<
    Zack grabbed his duffel bag, then turned and walked out of the office. "Follow me." He said, shutting the door behind him. He lead them all outside, and to the rift location. "If anyone needs something else, you better grab it now.
    EtherealSummoner Lamentations 3:22-26
    "There have been reports where girls from the New York's Girl's Academy have mysteriously disappeared for no reasons. There was one teacher who was whispering into two young girls ears and the two nodded and walked right into a school's basement. There have also been reports of girls in Russia who ran away from home to 'save' themselves from the masked lady. Also..." A lady was in her store watching the television in Russia and was smiling as two girls who were the same ones who ran into the school's basement walked into the store. "I believe that my plans will succeed. The successor will not be harmed I hope..." She then smiled as she made all of the garden fountains turned on and when she grew her wings in front of the girls...
