    Lets just say you playing an RPG, and you like it, What is the part that makes you like an RPG?

    I'm a type of player who enjoys the gameplay rather than above else.
    Though i also like to see the story and music in a RPG, i won't enjoy it without a gameplay that really "different" than else. Lets just say, if the gameplay was too hard or boring, i would give up playing it and see the cutscenes and the musics on youtube.


    What about you?

    Story and characters are most important to me.

    I can put up with a lot of suck in the gameplay if the characters have depth and are likeable, and the storyline can hold my attention.

    Edit: I voted story, but characters are really equally important.

    i would have to say the story. the games alway have a powerful story line about power and romance. the characters are also imortant though. i wouldnt play a games with a main character that annoied me or somthing.

    I voted gameplay because I like games with a special game play like: Kingdom Hearts, Golden Sun, Zelda, and Final Fantasy.

    i voted others, because i like the variety of battles and the monsters that battle you

    i always wondered how it would be to just battle monsters like in the games

    Gameplay, Story, Characters, Music.
    I love "growing" with the characters (levelling, learning new abilities, etc). A well put story will keep me interested, and a few good likeable characters and some music will make me look like a nerd.

    I mostly like the awesome music, but the story and (occasionally) great graphics make it seem like we're in an interactive movie that we're living in.

    I'd have to say story. I haven't found one yet, but I've always dreamed of playing an RPG with an ending that makes me tear up.

    Being able to just play a character. If the game is good enough, you can insert yourself and enter a new world.
