Well, I don't remember having any "What the heck is going on?" moments, but I suppose everyone is different. Though, I did have some "What the heck are they saying?" moments. There seemed to be a lot of mumbling going on, especially when the Hatter was talking, and I often didn't catch what was said, although I guess some of it wasn't even English, so no wonder I missed it.

One little thing that annoyed me about the story, and I suppose this could be a spoiler... was that there was a lot of talk about if Alice was the Alice, the Alice that would save Wonderland. And it was just downright obvious to me that she was, so it seemed stupid that the characters in the movie would keep wondering about it.

    Spoiler (ish)

Well, Wonderland is based (in the books) in Alice's dreams. And all the characters are rude, confounding, and confusing to her at one point or the other. The Caterpillar was definitely played properly, as were the Tweedles, Cat, and the Red Queen. The White Queen wasn't backwards enough but she was certainly flighty enough. The Jabberwocky wasn't quite on par with the book's depiction (I mean the drawing), but that's okay, considering it filled the description from the original poem quite well. The Hare, I feel, was a little too crazy and not enough nonsense. As for the Hatter, that's anyone's guess. Dormouse is a shrug for me, considering you don't get anything but a sleepy vibe in the book.
