If I'm being quite honest, the only reason that thread still exists is because I can't think of a legitimate reason to close it. It' always bothered me, from the day I joined this forum, that the most popular thread on the entire forum is not a thread about discussing the game, but one about hacking it. Personally, I'd rather do it the hard way, the real way. It's more satisfying that way, and I have more right to brag about beating Sephiroth at level 99 on easy that someone else does about beating him at level 1 on hard because I used skill and not a code to do it.I've actually seen someone claim that they were good at Kingdom Hearts because they used an AR Max.

That being said, if people want to use these codes, that's their right and I can't stop you. By all means hack the game. You're also well within your rights to post up that you hacked it. There's no rule against it, and I won't make a rule just for one thread, even if it is one that I don't particularly like. Though I did unpin it. Besides, the way I see it, the thread can only last so long. Eventually, there'll be nothing left to code, and it'll drift away to the back pages.

However, I'm not going to install a system in the forum to grant ranks to people who write codes. This isn't because of my opinion of thread. I have good reasons. From what I can tell, you apparently don't need the extra motivation to do. Two, I'd be putting a permanent system in place for a subject matter that is, as I stated already, inevitably temporary. And on top of that, I have no idea how to do that. I'm still learning how to do all of this, and quite frankly, figuring out how to do something of the sort isn't a priority.

If you really want ranks and such, design a system yourself and use it. Keep track if it in posts and such. Nothing's stopping you, and to be honest, even if I did care about the thread, I'd say the same thing. Something of this nature doesn't really warrant a change within the forum structure itself. A simple solution like one person keeping all of it posted within that thread will suffice. If you come up with something, you can even make it your user title or put it into your sig.

 

You didn't step on any toes. That's what this forum is for. Doesn't mean every suggestion will be used, but making them isn't a bad thing.

 

i hate wen people bring up the thing about "cheating on the game". not all codes r used for cheating. play as tron sora for example, that doesnt effect u in the game at all except give u tron soras clothes. and the ar max thread is the best thread this site has. there is no reason for it to be closed and it shouldnt be unsticked just because u dont like it, no im not trying to start a riot. but from my modding experience i never have unstickied a thread cause i dont like it, i think of it as "abusing mod power". wat is the reason for it to be unstickied? we were never warned if we were doing something wrong, there must be a better reason than to just unsticky the thread because of ur opinion

 

1. It is cheating as do something your not allowed to help your gaming experience.

What was the reason for it being pinned?
3. It is not the "Best" topic on the board for being the most active. It is a useless topic of which I feel should just be deleted and the majority of Mods are skeptical about.

I unstuck it because there really was no reason to stick it in the first place. As I said, it's a thread that has a limited lifespan. The idea behind a pinned thread is that it's a thread with longevity. It's something that several years from now will still have purpose. Eventually there'll be nothing left to code for KH2. Anyone who cares about codes will be paying attention to whatever the newest game is. Besides which, it's active enough while it still has purpose to avoid falling back to later pages. There's no reason for it to be a stuck thread.

There is always a logic and a reason to my actions. I don't do stuff because I don't like it. Trust me when I say this. I haven't abused my powers. I'd do much more than unpin a thread if I were to.
