Castle/Hollow Bastion

    This has been bugging me. In Deep Jungle when you're looking at the slides, I believe it's the first one,Sora says the picture of the castle looks really familiar to him, but how could it? Like he said, he's never been off the islands before. I thought later on in the game it would be explained. It wasn't. And later on I thought it might be Hollow Bastion because when you first arrive there he says the castle gives him a certain feeling. I don't think this is ever explained and I have no idea if they're connected or not but I would like an explanation of why he said this? Maybe there was an explanation and I'm just being dense?:confused:

    It is because Kairi's heart is within in him,and SHE has been there before.It is her heart remebering it,but since it is in Sora's body,he feels like he has been there/seen it,even though he had not until he got there.It can be a little confusing.

    Alright, so my next question is; Is Kairi originally from Hollow Bastion (Radiant Garden)? And why wasn't this stated? I know we see Kairi as a little girl talking to someone in the library of Hollow Bastion. (her grandmother?) But why did she have to leave? And why don't Leon (Squall), Aerith, and Yuffie remember or recognize her? And why doesn't she remember? Or does she just refuse to talk about it? Or am I just speculating too much? :rolleyes:

    She doesnt remember,her memories are hazy at best about it.She WAS a little girl when she left.And just because she lived there does not mean she met Squall and the others.Hell,Squall,Cid,Aerith,and Yuffie may have only met when the world was being taken over by Malifecent for all we know.Kairi is the Princess of Heart for Radient Garden,but during the invasion was sent off world.It is unknown why,but maybe it will be explained in BBS.

    I know the answer. Kairi is originally from Radient Garden. In the Final Mix of Kigndom Hearts, Xehanort says that he'll send the princess to the ocean of the worlds, for he thinks that the girl is a princess of heart, which refers to Kairi & Destiny Island. Kairi most likely have been living in the castle a lot, so it's most likely that she don't remember Leon, Yuffie & the others. Kairi don't remember much about her past because she lives Destiny Island for so long, that Destiny Island became her original world & where she wanted to live for the rest of her life. It may also be that Kairi is 5 years old after she left Radient Garden & was adopted by a mayor to live on Destiny Island, so she most likely won't remember anything else except her talking with her grandmother.

    This has really confused me as well, but after getting these explanations it helps me, too. Man I wish Nomoura explained some of these plot holes a bit...

    Sometimes he does. But true, back when I was young, I wondered those questions.... Before i became a total KH nerd.

    The castle WAS Hollow Bastion. Sora and Kairi's memories are linked, so he knew Hollow Bastion/Radiant Garden because it used to be Kairi's home. It's a very nice use of foreshadowing...
