    EtherealSummoner Lamentations 3:22-26

That's my opinion. I said if I was in the force. I don't know what God will do, but I don't think God will cast me out of Heaven just because I'm doing something to save a lot of people. Not only that, if God forbids me to take the shot & I took it anyways, then bigger consequences will fall on me. If it's not in God's plan for me to take the shot, I best not do it. He might want to get someone else jail him. Just like I said, God will pick someone to protect his people, but if I'm not the one to do the job that wasn't assigned to me, I better not do it.

I see. Its like God is the king and you are his knight that has sworn to protect those in trouble.

  3. Haresuno

I bolded this sentence because this implies Human's have a hand in what God does and does not do. I'm going to level with you and tell you that I cannot stand this type of thinking because its arrogant from my p.o.v. God is supposed to be this all powerful and all knowing being. If taking that shot wasn't in his plan and you did it, that implies he did not know or would not do anything to stop you from firing meaning you've complicated God's plan. You as a tiny, pathetic, human being have no clue of God's plan so there for you have to go on human instincts and your moral compass which tells you to either shoot or don't.

  4. Tsukiyomi

    Tsukiyomi Shinto's Moon God

So bascially he would've messed up God's plan. That is deal with humans. THey always act on instincts. That is why we are lesser beings. Humans, foolish creatures at heart. This is coming from a darker side of me. I kinda believe this.

  5. Haresuno

    Haresuno KH-3's Übermensch

No, I'm trying to say is that to state that human's have a hand in an Celestial Being's plan is ludicrous. If such a being like God exists and he has all the knowledge of what is yet to come, his plan can never be defiled. So, going back to what SB said, he was basically saying he knew God's plan. He may not have meant to say that, but that's what came out.

  6. Tsukiyomi

    Tsukiyomi Shinto's Moon God

    I see. How foolish then.

You see. I have problems with being human. That is why I kinda seek ascenesion. Humans are ruining this world and that is why I seek to become something more, an angel. Is that so wrong?

  7. Haresuno

    Haresuno KH-3's Übermensch

I wouldn't say it's entirely wrong, but to each their own. I have no complaints about being human. Aiming to be an angel to me is ... dull.

  8. Tsukiyomi

    Tsukiyomi Shinto's Moon God

Hmm, I see. Its not be for me also, its just that we all ive a burdened life and I guess I'm trying to get away from that. I guess I'm bad for hating being human then. I'm sorry.

  9. Haresuno

Again it's not a bad thing its an opinion, just like with the interpretation of religion. Anyways our discussion is de-railing this topic. If you wish to continue on this subject I would suggest either PM's or VM's.

We are made of both...All humans have a balance of both, and our life's experience will change that ballance. Kinda like how nicer people would tip their scale towards wat is good, and bad people would tip their scale towards "evil"......do you get it?

Talk to a Christian School Teahcer about it, the response you will get is ridiculous in the fact that they think what they r doing is "ok". I dont think brainwashing little kids in a agenda type of manner is ok. Let kids be kids. They need no guiding, they arent a threat to anyone. After they master psychological conservation, they are ready to learn abstract thinking. This is around the ages of 12 and 13. Thats when religious gung hoes can bombard them with theories and faith, when they know whats going on and can make their own descisions. I like the backround I have, I feel like I was an exception among peers. With most kids who go through Christian Grade schools end up one of two ways. Either gung hoe Christians for life, or they abhor religion all together. I am in the middle. I dont abhor religion at all, I abhor Christianity. I was on the inside looking out, and when I got my chance, I escaped from that mind prison of dogmatic thinking. I learned. I got smart. Smart in the ways of philosophy and religion, I learned about other religions and other philosophies. And I look back at everyone I grew up with and its just sad. Its sad becuz they will never find what I have found unless they wake up. When you try to tell other people about the truth, THE REAL TRUTH, they get scared and cling to their ideals all the tighter. Thats why having an openmind is so key, becuz when you learn to listen twice as much as you speek, you learn a lot.

    Its a type of brainwashing.

...forsaken. We all need to embrace the fact that we are sinful creatures and do not deserve God's mercy MORE than the whole salvation aspect (which I dont believe in anyways...)
Realization of our confound forsakenness brings us all the more closer to that oh so sweet reality.....Life isn't fair. Life is a game.

    karma?

    I would.

I think I know what your talking about, and yes, the Ten Commandments are a "nice guide line for life", but you have to have a sense of common sense at that point Haresuno. This guy is killing people, and will kill others if you dont kill him. Your saving lives. Consciousness takes over, you know what you have to do. It doesnt make you a murderer. If a man decides to take someones life, then he no longer is a man, but a beast.
God creates and knows all outcomes of any given situation. Our free will dictates the outcome of the given situation. This place we are in, the universe, it isn't heaven. God does not live here, nor does he care for it like his home. This is hell, this is the material realm of punishment. He wants us to come back to the spiritual realm, but he wont give us a "get out of jail free" pass, nor will he keep us trapped here forever. We must earn our way out of this eternal hell.

<.> Don't say that life is a game. It's not a game. You have one chance at it & that's it. We is not no pheonix who dies & reborns over & over. This is not no Final Fantasy game where if you die, someone can revive you with a white magic spell. We don't have "9 lives". Just one shot. One shot to get through life & do good as much as possible, get our 100 fold blessings in this life & to recieve more after we leave this world. <.> This earth is not hell. Earth is never hell. Earth is neutral. Earth is where good is still going on. God is blessing us here on Earth. Don't say that God don't give a care because he cares about the people who is living on here who are his children. Also, what makes you think is the "real truth"? If you ask God which is the real truth & which one is not.

I'd just like to point out that some of the things I say are meant to continue the discussion on. I'm playing devil's advocate to keep things going.

-__________- This is what I hate about this debate. Some people thinks that by acting like a "devil's advocate" or to try to make up things that makes people lose their faith & hope in God just to keep a discussion alive. If you want to know about their faith & strength in a religion & is only to talk about good, that's fine, but to play as a "devil's advocate" makes me steams up. It brings in doubt, then you turn to God & ask him, which brings in more doubt, which then leaves you vulnerable & leaves you wide open to take the wrong path. Please don't do that Haresuno. This is why God says to "Test the spirit to see if they are of God or not".

Dude it's a phrase of speech. I'm not literally being the Devil's Advocate lol wow B chillax. I'm not trying to make someone lose their faith. I'm simply pointing out flaws and seeing how you react. I know how to learn about a religion, I'm not stupid. I rarely turn to God for things because I'm but an insignificant worm. I am as equal as the deer or rabbits or any other animal created. Human's are nothing special. We are not above other animals and we are as deserving of God's kingdom as an earthworm is worth not to get squashed.

I don't need faith to Guide me. I choose to follow my own moral precepts which are pretty black and white for the most part. I don't trouble myself with questions like "if I do this will I be walking towards Hell or Heaven?" because in the end I don't give to cents where I end up so long as I live never in regret.

I don't know if you notice B but you tend to come of preechy even if you don't mean it. Don't worry about what I do and don't do. It's not your job to save me, it's my job.

Has anybody been noticing when you're walking down a street and there's someone "advertising" the church, he/she often get's you into a nice, friendly chat and offers a some type of papers or books sometimes about the religion.

Usually when I have gone through this, it goes either two ways. If I say "no, I don't want the book", the person almost always grabs me and won't permit my leaving from the conversation. If I say after that, "I don't believe in that God of yours", the person won't let go and preaches even more. Or in the second case, if you'll ever try to debate about religion with the person, he/she denies every point you make. Even if you'll give some facts, still the person, almost in miserable way tries to prove their points right.

Anybody else ever countered the same situation?

??? How come everything that's happens to you badly in your life is always the opposite in my life? Churches always choke down stuff in your face while me & my church always wants to see the best in people & if you opinion is to not serve God, we won't do anything that will make you feel uncomfortable. maybe it's the area where we live at & the people around us that makes the difference.

Don't know if this was for me or Haresuno, but anyway.

As I've encountered these people in the streets (in many cities, actually! It's really annoying) they're from different religions and usually the nicest isn't the one which wants to preach you about is the image that we usually have of "God". Usually some of the not-so-well-known religions, or the guys spreading them are the mos nicest ones. Not the people who try to tell about the usual image of "God" and they automatically think that everyone, everywhere love the image of "God" that they've got of... "Him".

But depends. I guess we have differences and the greatest of them is the fact that you believe in "God", and I don't.

Research proves me right. Theory, logic, yes its faith, but you have your faith B, so you cant argue in that perspective...
And how can you prove Earth isn't Hell? Hm? Because the Pastor says so? Because your parents say so? Ad what if they are wrong B? What if everything is WRONG. Do you ever question? I think God admires questions, because it gives HIM a challenge. If God does not work or keep busy, then why does he exist? Work is what keeps everything around us stable. You have to be doing something, its in our nature.

But back to the whole Earth = Hell thing, it never once explains the Fall of the Angels, and we are left with Apocraphitical books to base it all on. Only once, once does it say that the Red Dragon fell....and it says he fell to Earth. Why wouldnt it say the Red Dragon fell the Hell?? explain.

    mhm, i got that.
wow, way to be closed minded pal.

    totally agree.

or maybe its perspective. Thats were YOU need to be objective B.

    Haresuno KH-3's Übermensch

Earth can be either a Heaven or a Hell, it's a perspective thing. While God may or may not admire question is up in the air. To say a God needs a challenge is suggesting that they're never satisfied. Again I don't agree with the work thing.. Mainly because the way you try to define a higher being like a normal human. We have no idea what/how a God thinks and to say they need to be busy isn't totally right, I'd say. For all we know everything is done and set and God has no more work to do. They're just sitting back and watching their plan unfold like a child does with dominoes.

On the exist thing I say this: Why do any of us exist? You can try to put meaning to a lot of things we do -- that we're struggling towards some unseen goal or what have you. I say there is no reason. Mainly because there doesn't need to be a reason. I still don't fully understand why people think there needs to be one. I know part of it is fear, but .... tsk I just don't fully understand.

And yet in the same way you give him the characteristic of laziness. Do you honestly think God is lazy? What i stated before I didn't state right, its a combination of both....my belief is that God has time to relax as well as trying to bring us back to him. He has a plan for everything. I have faith in that aspect.

And the whole existence thing is all about fear, and I agree with you that we need to escape that fear, but saying there is no reason all together is just as closed minded as saying there has to be one. I am in the middle. There is and there isn't. Time exists for the sake of time....Time = Time, and that makes sense right? like 2=2. So when you search for a reason of "why?", it always leads you right back to the question. A circle, a cycle. The people caught in fear see the circle as a straight line. And people who say there is no reason for existence deny the circle all together. My whole point is that the circle exists, denying that fact is blind idiocy. It exists, and it never ends.
