So what do you think about making drugs legal? Not saying I'm pro drugs or anything

I remember someone brought it up in school. I mean I know it sounds completely stupid and it kind of is, but in Amsterdam weed is legal! I mean I don't know if the long terms effects such as crime reduction and less governmental concern etc would be worth it. Kids would obv be able to get it easier (not that they're hard to get anyway), which I guess is a bad thing. But I think it's just become such a big issue (here anyway) people have just given up caring, like the authorities

Weed is legal? So drug dealers are legal too?
Looks like they don't need for rehab.

Well keep in mind that some drugs aren't "addictive"
Marijuana is one of the examples.

Making it legal would also mean putting a tax on it. The Government would benefit from it but the public may be destroyed. If there was a way to monitor activities, then perhaps it would be an idea to make some drugs legal.
We have to discuss pros and cons about it.

Right now, my only pro is taxing it to make a country better financially (though I'm not sure how much would be benefited from drugs)

It's actually the only drug that can't harm you physically, so I give it a yes- I mean, why not?

I say make it legal, but with some restrictions on the use and sale. That would make it easier to regulate the quality, so that people aren't using crap that's extra bad for them, and the government can tax the sale of it like they do cigarettes and alcohol and make some money, thereby (theoretically) lessening the burden of poor working folk like myself.

I would say ban the hell out of it; make it illegal. But the CIA will still import it under the table.

In reality, though, certain drugs like marijuana could be useful in terms of medical appliances, and it has shown to be useful in that context before. The thing is, though, is it worth the hassle of dealing with repercussions later on, such as illegal gaining of the substance.
