Set Free

Long ago, towards the beginnings of time, there was two gods that created everything. The two then divided thier duties; one to rule the day, the other would rule the night. The gods became known as Solaris and Lunos, because thier true names would kill the mortals that would hear them. Humanity worshipped Solaris daily. Things continued like this for a century. Eventually Lunos grew jealous of his sister and angry at humanity. They only worship the day and sleep through the night. To remind humanity that thier god was two, he created monsters that attacked them. The monsters all beared a moon as thier crest and killed many. Solaris was angry with her brother and created defenders that wore a sun for thier crest. The defenders fought off the monsters and soon a bloody war raged that nearly destroyed the planet. In a last ditch effort to save everyone, Solaris took her brother to the center of the earth and sealed the both of them inside. Her last command was to never undo the seal, to never set them free. The monsters and defenders vanished and people once more were not afraid. The praised Solaris and began to worship again. They also began to worship Lunos, hoping he would forgive them. Things continued for decades, centuries, millenia.

Present day...

The world has recovered and the people prosper. Not many remember the story of the legendary battle because thats what it is, legend. Few know of the religion and even fewer know of it. However it is far from gone. The priests refer to themselves as Heaven's Protecters. However another group knows of the legend, and they know it is true. They call themselves the Liberators, and they plan to release the gods. When the Protectors discovered the Liberators they called in warriors from around the world to help defend the only one with the power to release to gods, thier sacred priestess. She was set to marry a high priest soon and perform the yearly ritual to strengthen the seal holding the gods within the earth. Both groups know if the gods are released, Lunos is likely to take revenge on his sister and humanity. The Protectors want to prevent his divine revenge, the Liberators want to fuel it. With the marrige of the priestess coming up, the worlds fate rests on the warriors brought together to guard the priestess.

Bio: Riki was born into a family that believed in the Protectors no matter what. He was raised in the religion and his parents hoped he would become a great priest within it. However Riki didn't. He began to question its teachings and its legends until he discovered a secret, one that could completely change the world. He suddenly believed that the gods must be freed from thier prison. He then hid himself from the religion and trained himself. During his time training, he met others who believed the gods should be freed. Together with them he formed the Liberators and swore they would set Solaris and Lunos free.
Personality: Riki is kind to his friends and allies but ruthless to those that stand in his way. He has a natural talent for getting people to trust him. He's smart and seemingly carefree, but he always has something on his mind. He has kept the secret to himself and destroyed what he learned it from so that nobody else can learn it unless he tells them.
Powers: Riki can control lightning. He attained this power from a ring he discovered while training. Ever since he put it on his body natural generates its own current of electricity which he's learned to control. He can add lightning to his attacks to make them stronger or to numb his enemies. He can fire bolts that are strong enough to burn the flesh or mild enough to disrupt the persons movement. He can absorb power from any source of electricity should his body's recharge rate be to slow for what he needs.
