Reread you sentence and tell me if it make sense.

    NO.
You must be a christian the way your explaining it.
Let me refresh you with what's "really going on in this world".

Science is limited to explaining the natural world by means of natural processes(NOTE THIS SIR), it cannot use supernatural causation in its explanations. Religion just explains the similarities of the world process not it doesn't actually function along with it. Similarly, science is precluded from making statements about supernatural forces because these are outside its provenance. Science has increased our knowledge because of this insistence on the search for natural causes. Science and religion are two totally different things to compare with. You need to have a reason and answer for both topics.

At the root of the apparent conflict between some religions and evolution is a misunderstanding of the critical difference between religious and scientific ways of knowing. Religions and science answer different questions about the world. Whether there is a purpose to the universe or a purpose for human existence are not questions for science. . . . Science is a way of knowing about the natural world. It is limited to explaining the natural world through natural causes. Science can say nothing about the supernatural. Whether God exists or not is a question about which science is neutral.

Did even read my entire post, and that's all you have to say? Man the lack of intelligent posts. Still as I just said, religion is just a similarity or what "science" is supposedly, suppose to be.

    lls,

Still you don't really get the meaning of religion just yet, seeing how it's a paradox from what your trying to say and what your not saying. Religion and science are too different topics and opinions.

LIEK OMG I DONT EVEN KNO WHA YOU BE SAYIN DUAH

    what?

    Allow me Reisen.

Religion and Science are both systems of measurement. Each religion (of which I include science) is based on fundamental rules and principles. If something should contradict those rules then it is a 'sin' or in science's case, unscientific.

A Theistic religion and Science are what's termed mutually exclusive...which essentially means 'non overlapping.' This is because as Reisen pointed out, science uses experience, it uses assumptions which lie in the natural world (that's how we have defined the natural world in the first place: anything observable, manipulatable). Religion on the other hand, places its assumptions in that which is NOT observable...the existence of God for instance (who by definition we cannot observe or manipulate, and instead we observe of manipulate the effects of God). No matter which one you follow, they both require a leap of faith because you never know for certain if your observations (or blind faith in the case of religion) are sound. Not to mention, nobody, not even top of the line scientists, have witnessed every scientific detail for themselves. So they have faith in their colleagues, and that their observations are well accounted for and that nothing is forged.

In essence, it means one cannot discredit anything in the other. I made the analogy in another thread (I think) that it's like a biologist disproving something in physics or vice versa...it doesn't really happen.

Evolution for instance, since it was mentioned, has a whole slew of forged data and stuff...often not being 'discovered' as a hoax until it has been intensely studied. I'm not saying it's true or false (because I certainly can't conclude evolution is true or false any more than anyone else or by flipping a coin), I'm just saying faith is at the heart of the matter.

Scientists fake things too...I don't know why people think priests and popes and whatnot are free to lie to the people of the world about what they experience, but an almighty scientist, oh no...they have no reason to lie, no financial gain to be had from false research. Nope. None at all...

What do you mean by this point? I'm not sure I follow.

I believe there is a god...but, how do we know it's the gods we worship. I'm a coexist. Every religion together in harmony. Religion is what started everything. I believe in christianity to an extent...the bible can be taken in sooo many ways. and..we don't know how much it has changed since it was written, you know

I don't believe in god. I used to, but all my theories were proved wrong when I was trying to defend my side of the subject. After few days of exploring and finding out in what to believe, I started out wondering if there's a god or not. After few weeks of inhuman research on the subject I rejected god and started not to believe in anything. I don't know, expect for science, because that's what we have proven, not any figure "that lies on the heavens and has his eye in every one of us". Nah, I think that the bible is a lot more morale-realted book to us who don't believe and it's showing a path to rightfulness, even thought I'm a goner for my own ways.

If I was judged for my sins, I would be thrown to hell as soon as possible since I have never committed them or have asked for forgiveness from God.

The bible is in my eyes a morale based book and something that is trying to make we walk a good path, but since I don't believe in any stuff like that, I'll do what I want.

YEAH! I know. you'd think with our technololgy we would have some proof of heaven and hell. but no, we have to rely on faith...which is an idea noun...

Unless you know how to traverse the ethereal plane of existence we can't prove a thing.

    uhmmmm, yeah...i'll go get the machine..lol..it's just...so vague..i don't know..i'm sleepy i don't know what i'm saying

Well here. Because religion is based on faith and the hopes that there is something after death, we -generalizing humans with religions that have an afterlife- assume there is another plane of existence where God, angels, demons, souls and the such reside. Even with modern technology we would need technology far more advanced that would allow us to travel realities in order to grab proof. And even then we couldn't be sure because we wouldn't know if it was our reality we were grabbing that information from.

    It's basically dream vs reality

Even then though people can claim that reality is a dream from which we wake after our physical death.
