Puppy Name

    Ok so today I'm going and getting a 2 1/2 month old puppy. It's a black female goldendoodle currently named Onix. However I don't think Onix is so much of a girl name, however my brother doesn't like any of the names I sugested so far. I sugest Raven, Night, Moon, Midnight, Shadow, Rose, but nothing seems to please him. So I thought why not ask everyone on the site, there's some guys who can come up with a name that's tough and manly but still for a girl a long with some girls who knows perfect names for a female dog.

    So what do you think I should name this new puppy? Must be appropriate. I will be posting a picture soon when I go and get 5:30pm today.

    i have a 2 year old dog named scottie but he's a boy, although when we got him his name was scottie we liked it so we kept it, but Onix isn't a good name for a female that sounds good for a male Germen sheperd though LOL,

    hmm....Sounds like you need some help with this one(not that it wasn't obvious, it's the reason for this thread.)

    hmm...i don't know...But it sounds cute i kinda like the name midnight because it can be both boyish and girlish. i already named draco's boy cat with a full length name: Midnight (ninja) Shadow. it was originally supposed to be Midnight Shadow but draco calls him ninja.

    Umm yeah SB just asked my brotehr that an he replied...


    What sort of name is that! It's stupid!


    So let me make things simple, my brother isn't the type for the whole girl, cute thing, he's tough and wants a guy like name. He won't go with any girl names now. So I need sort of a both male and female name like Midnight and Night.

    Ummm no, it's not an actual black magic it's from a game. Plus my mom is sort of a person who likes nature, a good name, and books. So if you got sugestion from maybe a book.

    Well I may be done here and defeated. My mom was also looking up names and she found something intersting about the history of an onyx stone. It's supose to be like a protective magic and ancient soldiers carried them so they would be protected against injury. My mom says due to things over the past while me almost possibly having a stroke(turned out a false alarm, but it could turn out to be something like Mike) my mom having to get nasal surgery next June, and then of course finacial problems. The name Onyx is staying.

    Yeah I hate that name as well. It also makes me think more of pokemon than the whole meaning she found.

    Plus I think my brother just dislikes anything I say.

    and by the way Ultimo isn't a girl namw(really anyname) if it was a girl name it would stay Ultima. Figured I tell you that so you knew.

    You were going to name your Dog Raven? Hmm... thats interesting. Onyx is kind of a girl name seeing as it's a gemstone and everything.

    Yeah, in a way, I still keep thinking of pokemon everytime I say it and stuff. Plus Onix the pokemon doesn't seem much like a girl kind of pokemon.
