"Don't be silly, we ain't leaving yet." Joey started to go through his memory, looking for a stronger shifting power when it hit him. He started to transform into a scaly giant lizard thing. Joe coplsed on the floor. when Joey got up he had become cooler from the 21Th century cartoon DBZ. "now lets get to those computer?" Joe shot a energy ball at a group of guards.

Acer gave Xenex a grin.

"With more pleasure than you could ever know."

Acer took a slight bow before Xenex.

"As always, it is my life's mission to carry out your will."

Acer stood up, turned, and walked out of the room. According to the schematics, the intruders were on the bottom floor, where the sewers were. Acer took a look near an air duct, and manipulated the heat in the air to melt the cover until the duct was clear. He leapt in. He fell a long, long way. Due to his special training and manipulation of heat, he touched the ground level with the greatest ease. A moment later, his foot met the casing of the duct to the bottom floor.

He leapt down from the cieling, taking a glance to the left to see a group of guards being attacked by... What appeared to be a guard and a cartoon character. Acer's own instinct told him exactly who the rogue was.

"Joe... You always try this... When will you learn to choose to transform into things that actually fit reality?"

Acer thought none the less of it. He pointed a finger towards the two intruders ad activated his Ethos abilities. The air in the hall suddenly took a turn for the worst. The heat rose. A thermometer would have exploded already from the sudden increase, but inside these metallic hallways, the heat reflected worse than ever.

By Acer's own internal thermostat, he had increased the temperature within the hall to nearly 300 degrees Kelvin. The friendly guards that had been hit by an energy blast from the cartoon character fell to the floor, gasping for air. The grip at their throats, but when they touched their superheated skin it melted together, letting them literally rip the flesh off their bones. Acer could see it would greatly affect the two intruders as well.

 

Nick couldn't breath. The sudden rise in temperature seemed to be choking him. He knew who had to be behind it, but he couldn't find the person. Nick looked over and saw Joe choking as well. Nick knew only one thing was going to work. Using what last strength he had, Nick sent a force of air in every direction, hoping to hit the man causing all this heat wave.

 

The sudden blast of wind pushed into Acer, sending him backwards about 12 inches. Acer stopped applying the heat and stared at the man who had attacked him, still gasping for air.

He could still attack me under such force... He's perfect.

Acer sank into a fighting pose, still applying enough heat to Joe only to keep him crippled. He made a motion towards the wind user.

"Come, fight me or die now."

 

Nick felt the heat instantly disappear. He heard someone tell him to fight, and the voice was familiar. He looked up and saw Acer facing him, obviously looking for a fight. Nick looked over at Joe, saw that he was still crippled, and faced Acer again. "I've been waiting to fight you for a long time." Nick jumped to the side and sent a blast of air at Acer, drawing his pistol with his mind in midair.

 

Acer cartwheeled to the left, dodging the blast, and swung his foot in Nick's direction, sending a wave of scarlet flames swirling towards him.

 

Nick launched himself into the air and backflipped over the flames. He clutched the hilt of his pistol and started firing at Acer. He needed to get a way to free Joe, since he knew he couldn't take Acer on alone. Nick landed on his feet and grabbed a chunk of wall with his mind and tossed it at Acer.

Damn the heat is too strong for this mod. I'll have to change into something quick. What is there that can resist heat? I can't think of anything under this heat! I'll try to counter act it! Joe's skin started to turn light blue. Joe had turn into Iceman from X-men. Joe shot a blast ice towards Acer, making him stop to block it. "You can call me the shifter! You have to fight fire with fire!" Joe started to make the room tempuature drop to cool down the room. "How do you like the chill of this place now?"

 

Acer rose the temperature of his external heat, creating a sort of "Heat barrier" around him. He specifically targeted the bullets with it, causing them to melt before they could touch him, along with the ice that was shot at him. The chunk of wall was hurled towards Acer, and he braced himself. His left fist met the peice, blasting it into rubble as dust flew past him. A gesture of Acer's mind and a small wave of both his hands sent scarlet flames from the floor to the ceiling between Nick and Joe, cutting them off from eachother with a wall of 2000 degrees.

"Surrender now, Nick, unless you welcome death."

 

Nick couldn't stand the heat. He had to get out of there. He could see Acer barely in the flames. Nick turned his head to Joe. "You go one way, I'll go the other!" Nick turned and used almost all of his strength to push Acer away. He fell to one knee from the strain and looked over at Joe, hoping he would use common sense and get out.

 

Joe focused all his energy on the wall until it was gone, Joe put his hand on Nick to also turn him into Ice Man. "This should help. Try adding some combos now with your attacks. It takes one to beat one." Joe then ran foward and started shooting ice shards ar Acer. "Starting to feel my chill now? Would you like to feel it some more? Or will you beg for mercy? like the baby you are?"

EDIT: you posted before me, instead of fixing it try putting it where it will work.

 

Acer leapt out of the way of the shards.

"You may be able to steal the powers of others... But the fact of the matter is you are not them, and copies are never as strong as the originals! You know as well as I that when you copy another you only literally have a fourth of their strength!"

Acer held his fist in front of him and a heat wave pulsed throughout the room towards his foes.

 

Nick pushed Joe out of the way and dived forward, trying to avoid the heat wave. But it was faster than he thought and blasted him back through a wall. Nick rolled on the ground and laid there, dazed out of his mind. He struggled to get up and get away before Acer caught up to him.

 

"It's actually half, but thanks for reminding me. This fight is offically over." Joe quickly transfomr into the juggernaut from X-men. "Sorry got to take a piss." Joe ran over to Nik picked him up and smashed the wall and started running smashing into everything in his way. Helicars, Policebots, anything in his way. "Sorry people on a run here!."

 

Acer chuckled and glanced in the direction Joe was rampaging. He noticed he was about to smash through a police car. Acer took advantage of the oppurtunity and superheated the metal. When the Juggernaut ran through the car, the melted metals adheared to his skin and body, burning him intensely as Acer continued applying heat to the metal, causing it to catch fire while wrapped around the Juggernaut.

 

Nick felt someone pick him up and start running. He looked up to see someone running, and he knew it was Joe. Nick instantly felt heat and saw a police car twisting around them, its body on fire. Nick turned his head and saw Acer staring at them. Nick pushed out with his mind and felt Acer's presence. He forced a car to go flying into Acer, hoping it would hit him and end the heat around Nick and Joe.

 

"Don't worry I can get us out of this." Joe the turned into Cooler's final transformation. "HAHAHAHAHAH! Now I feel in powered!" Joe blasted the metal appart with ease. Joe flew into the sky and put nick on top of a building. then Joe flew into the sky a little. The Order had summon a couple of jets, but Joe shot them down with some energy balls. "ACER TAKE THIS!" Joe concetrated all his power into a SuperNova and chucked it at Acer. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!"

Acer rolled out of the way of the car as Joe through a Supernova at him. Now it was Acer who was laughing. How stupid could one be to through heat at the heat manipulator? Acer thought little of it. He simply held out his hands and absorbed the Supernova as it hit. His internal temperature instantly increased to nearly 3000 Kelvin. The streets and brick around him melted merely from his presence, and he glowed as he walked towards Joe. Heat swirled around Acer in order to lift him into the air to where Joe was.

"You are such a fool... As always."

Acer placed both his palms together and pointed them at Joe. He had gathered so much power from Joe's attack, he was literally the god of fire right now.

"Your coming with me," Acer said calmly.

Scarlet flames enveloped the two of them, forming a sphere of fire to the common passerby. The sphere then imploded on itself with the two inside, but when the smoke cleared, the two of them were gone, and Nick was left alone on top of the building. A sphere of flames appeared in an unknown place, to Joe anyways. The flames settled and Acer and Joe were alone in what seemed like a dead zone. Bones and dead bodies littered the landscape of the hallowed cave, and there seemed to be no way out other than the way the two had come in.

Acer grinned and flipped forward at Joe, attacking his jaw with a spin kick.

 

Nick slowly opened his eyes and saw that he was alone. Sitting up quickly, Nick looked around. He was on top of a building opposite The Order's main building. Acer and Joe were nowhere to be found. Quickly taking advantage of the situation, Nick jumped off the building onto the street and quickly entered the Order's building through the giant hole in the wall. No guards attacked him, which surprised Nick. Xenex probably thought he only needed Acer to take care of Nick and Joe. He was wrong.
Nick reached one of their main computers and started typing away, breaking through their security system. He went file after file until he came across an interesting file. Reading it slowly, Nick was shocked. It was about a runaway experiment. He quickly uploaded it and other files onto a flashdrive and shut the computer off.
