I'm rather curious as to the difference between normal and expert in KH2. I know the enemies are stronger, but what other differences are there? Harder to gain levels? More enemies than before?

    GrandShadow I accept your challange.

no, that's pretty much it. the enemies are stronger and smarter. Sephiroth becomes even more godly and the final boss actually becomes a challange to good players.

Expert was really easy, for me anyways. I never tried beginner since it would seem like a piece of cake. Normal is... basically like beginner, too easy.

I say if you really wanna challenge yourself go for expert, it's not that difficult (final boss, beat the cr@p out of me though.)

Expert. That's more difficult than normal. The A.I. is more intelligent & can kill you more easily. They also move around a little bit more.

Also, if you complete Expert mode and finish all worlds, you unlock the secret ending. In Normal mode, you have to complete Jimini's Journal. Welcome to the site by the way.

As it's harder to gain levels. Enemies (I think) give less XP. And (I'm not 100% sure about this) I think that the stat gains from leveling up aren't as good.

And another hard part of it.... Xaldin.... I got to him on Hard Mode. Still haven't beaten him. I hate him.

  7. GrandShadow

    GrandShadow I accept your challange.

no, exp remains the same. its just that they become stronger and smarter. that's it.

??? Man Desert. You didn't defeat him. I don't blame you. His special attacks when he makes his wind blades form a big looking dragon shoots out a strong tornado taht makes it impossible to avoid, especially in expert mode. Only way to defeat him is with Mickey.

Only thing I noticed in Expert was that the enemies had higher stats (except HP) and the fact that they continuously attacked/chased you instead of having a pause between their attacks.
It would have been nice if they introduced new goodies for Expert Mode as a standard thing instead of just having it on FM+.

As a side note for Xaldin, Mickey is not necessary (shown >HERE<), though I think Guard helps a LOT since that allows you to get 5-8 "Learn" reaction commands (leading to jumps which really helps) if you smash the triangle after successfully guarding his opening attacks.

First off, I speed through games. So obviously I'm underleveled. Second, I have a funny little thing concerning Mickey. One time, I got Mickey 4 times against Xaldin, same battle. No lie.

Isn't it a shame I never really bothered to get good at Guard? I never use it, so I unequip it.

You basically got it bub. The only difference I ever noticed was that you died a lot faster and you took a lot less damage, that's about it.

pretty much the guys r harder and all u hav to do is complete all the worlds (including atlantica and whinny the pooh) and u get the extra cutscene after the credits. on normal mode u have to finish jiminy's journal (which is extremely hard however i have been successful in completeing it after much cussing and threatening to destroy my playstation) so ya pretty much the big difference is how easy it is to get the extra scene.

Is the extra scene worth it? lol. Cuz I heard about it, but I suck and am playing at normal. lol.

Well the extra scene is a teaser for a Future KH game. BBS to be exact.

There were 2 separate teasers as well. One in Kingdom Hearts 2 and one in Kingdom Hearts 2: Final Mix+
The Normal one will keep you guessing, the Final Mix+ one will get you questioning... Or they both get you questioning... and guessing =P

If you are too curious about it right now, here's a Youtube Link showing both of the teasers showing the Normal KH2 BBS Teaser and then the Final Mix+ BBS Teaser afterwards after about 1:30

umm i think its worth it cuz i liked earning it, i mean im sure its up on youtube but i dont think u deserve it if u dont work for it. i like the scene and idk maybe u should play more and u will get better? i mean im sure u dont suck that bad and if u play long enough u can get really good, practice makes perfect lol

Only difference is that the enemies are harder. And the game's still piss easy.

Unless you blitz through the game. Then when you're seriously underleveled, it gets harder to beat.
