I've noticed in all..not even in 'most' of your tags is the fact that you've grown too accustomed to just cramming effects into your work with C4D's, brushes, and so on. You see, good tags are made up of negative space and harmony in between the effects.

What you're doing is a no no.

This is an example of what you COULD be doing, which is a double-whammy YES:



Notice how in that I gave you that things just aren't CRAMMED IN, and there's a balance in effects? Not to mention that the settings the effects are on actually compliment one another?

Also, if you find a manga cut as a stock, don't add a C4D into it when you make a tag.
Know why? The manga cut, or a stock that looks "flat" only has ONE dimension. Whereas, the C4D has "MULTIPLE" dimensions to it.

Don't touch Color Dodge or Color Burn either for a while, I'd suggest.
And don't add text to any of your tags unless they're dead center, without drop shadow, bevel & emboss, or any of that on them.

You're in for much, much improvement.

It isn't about being picky.
It's about sorting out good qualities in work from crappy ones.

 

Overall, your text and text placement isnt to good, and all of the stuff you used in those tags seems to be just thrown on and doesnt seem to blend all that much.

I agree with what Autopsy is saying with the whole slamming C4D renders onto your work. I'd take her advice, it will help.

Looking at your old work to new work i do see an improvement, so keep it up And just experiment with things to try and make new effects instead of just putting C4d's everywhere. I use to just slam C4Ds on my sigs, sometimes still do >.<

Out of all of the I would say this one is my favourite.


My least favourite would be

Theres no flow and its going a bit crazy and i feel none of it compliments each other.

They're all amazing apart from the fact that some are a bit dark.... some are too cramped.... some I can't read the text or the text could be a lot better...
