"Give up boy. You cannot hope to win."

 

Dirk stopped talking to Lord Seth when he notcie that Lord Caedus had melted the prisoners sword, Dirk got up and started walking towards the battle field."I'm sorry Lord seth, but there is no honor in fighting a unarmed man, I am sorry if I'm going againest an order." Dirk than ran to the battle field and stood next to the prisoner. "I see no honor in fighting an unarmed man. So here take this sword, I have casted a magical spell, that makes in invincible to any magic, so it won't melt this time. The spell only last an hour so fight fast." With those last words Dirk headed for the mansion.

"You my Lord, know me better tan anyone else, you know I fight with honor, and do nothing that has no honor in it. The prisoner has no weapon, what honor is there fighting an unarmed man. if you want to see all his skills, wouldn't that include his sword skills also? We mus t give him a sword. You know that where I come from the only thing that matters, and being the last of my Village I still take to the code I was raised on."

 

Caedus watched patiently as Jake was seemingly charging an atttack. After a few minutes, Caedus became annoyed. He pointed at Dirk.

"Why dont you shut your trap, bafoon, or ill obliterate you myself!"

Caedus turned back to Jake.

"Are you going to show me more of thatr splendid power of yours or what?"

 

OOC: I'm so confused on where I am! well first I was going to give a sword to jake, but than shadow ingored it, so I just said don't pay attention to that post, so right now I think I'm really still with seth. just imgaine my face like spinning.

This is what Caedus had been waiting for.

"Now thats more like it... So thats where you have been hiding all that beautiful power..."

Caedus focused for a moment.

"Now... Let me show you some of my TRUE powers..."

Caedus roared in power. Suddenly the very air around Caedus turned the deepest black, and he looked like he had become a shadow. He knew Dirk would feel his increase in power, due to his sensitivity, as would Seth. As Caedus thought about it, he had never showed Seth this level of his power before. The very space around Caedus seemed to be imploding on itself, and within moments, Caedus's power level had increased ten-fold.

"You will not defeat me boy!"

Caedus then sent a telepathic message to Seth. Its true... I know you can feel it... He is the one.

Caedus's arms spread themselves wide, his overflowing cape making them resemble the wings of a Hawk before striking its prey. Dark energy was focused into the palms of Caedus's hands, and he called to Jake.

"No more warnings... Your going to die."

An immense plethora of lightning riddled from Caedus's outstretched hands hitting the drill squarely, along with appearing to overtake it. The terra drill erupted in flames as it continued trying to push into Caedus. Caedus pushed back, letting loose with a far greater volume of lightning then before. The drill kept getting pushed back and back towards Jake.

Not only was the smoke and heat going to bother him, but lightning was shreiking so dangerously close to Jake's face that he would be choking on ozone.

 

"Is it me, or does it seem Lord Caedus is going to kill the prophet. well there goes all your test, unless he can block that attack. If so than he can truly take on Master Valitane himself. I hope not, I like my life the way it its, I don't need that prisoner coming back to kick me in the ass for feeding him posion, by accident."

IC: Dirk just stood in amazment at what had just happen. Dirk was frozen still, even when Lord Seth shouted at the top of his lungs. Dirk stood up and stood next to Lord Seth, "Not even Master Valintane could do that, I'm sensing greater strength than what Master Valintane has. Who do you think he'll be coming for next Lord Seth, the Female is right over there. I think I know what that propfecy is, it means the downfall of not the rest of the nations, but ours."

 

Ooc: Honor guard, can you spell the name right plz, its annoying the hell outta me. Valentine, not Valintane.

It all happened so fast he was unable to react, yet because it happened to him, the playback seems to be in slow motion. Jake had become unbeleivably fast, teleporting behind him within a second. Caedus had thought the metal whirlwind he had encompassed himself with would have prevented such a thing, but all it had done was delay the inevitable. He could'nt defeat this boy. He was, indeed, the prophet of Legend. The Fallen One.

The exact Legend states, When the prophet is found, it will cause the downfall of the eternal.

The eternal, in fact, was Caedus.

Caedus had known this. He had foreseen this moment. And he let it come to pass. He did so because there was no way to stop it. His initial mission was thought to destroy the prophet. But no, Caedus's personal agenda was quite far from what others knew... Even Seth. He told noone, not even his most trusted friend and colleague, the truth. There was a hidden part of the prophecy he had never shown to anyone. And only he remembered what it said.

It is only for this reason that Caedus allows himself to be destroyed by the Fallen One in this instant... Because he knows the boy must take his place, or take his own life to stop the chain. If he takes Caedus's place, Vance would enter a completely new era of despair.

It is for this reason that, even as Caedus is consumed by the Light... He dies with a smile on his face... For it is he who has the last laugh.

A faint cry is heard as all that Caedus is, all that he was, is blasted away by the overwhelming Light... And his entire life Force depletes instantly as he is obliterated from existence.

OCC: I did read the whole, post and that's what I go out of it, the whole things was worded weird, whatever, I'll change my post, than tell me what you think.

Vivienne was too engrossed by the fight to move, watching with a mix of anticipation and anxiety. How the hell is that fight fair when Jake is all bruised up? was what she initially thought, but as the fight carried on, she was flabbergasted. She knew she only met Prisoner—Jake, Fallen One, whatever he was called—minutes ago, but she could tell that it wasn't exactly him that was fighting Caedus. His aura was different, darker. His dark side. As if Seth's 'from the gods' and 'mystical prophet' revelation wasn't shocking enough, Jake had to go and prove it.

She snapped out of her thoughts when she heard a startling, somehow uncharacteristic, scream from Seth. It was hard to follow Jake's movement, but she could clearly see Caedus as a blinding light enveloped him. She shielded her eyes as the light became brighter; by now, Caedus had been entirely engulfed by the light. Then, he was gone.

Vivienne could hardly believe that it was over. Jake moved as if he was unscathed, and managed to force away Seth, who just moments before overpowered him. Then, in a blink of an eye, he had transported them out of Attrox, and into a wide, open field.

As soon as she had been set down properly, Jake fell unconscious. She knelt beside him and placed glowing fingertips on his forehead. His wounds healed after a few minutes, but she noticed he still winced in pain. Her brow furrowed in concern; there was something in him that resisted her healing ability. Stubbornly, she channeled more of her energy into her fingertips. That should at least dull the pain.

She sighed. "Immortals, prophets... I thought they were only myths."
