Why do people hate Kairi?

I don't hate Kairi. I love her. She has that spark in her that shows that she might do something great in KH3. why? Just a feeling to me. Not only that, I think Sora & Kairi make a nice match to me. She may not have some fighting skills like Riku or Sora has when she fought in KH2, but she shows some courage. Why people hate her, I don't know.

i think people hate her since how she takes part in kh series.

although whissing she could fight though XD

 

I think we will be able to play her in KH3. I think that she only was going to be a NPC & a Princess of Hearts just to show a little bit about herself, Radient Garden, & her nobody, Namine.

After KH2, there's only 358/2 Days and Birth By Sleep. And also, Coded.

I don't love Kairi and I don't super-hate her either. i just don't like her very much. Her voice annoyed me in all of the games...I didn't really like it. She seemed kinda...clingy to me. No...wait...that's not the right description...it's just...ARGH! i can't describe very well why I dislike her.

 

Also, I HATED her keyblade. HATED IT! I mean, flowers? How is that supposed to strike fear in to the hearts of her enemies? I really, really hate her keyblade. And what kind of annoys me is the great quantity of keyblades, although this has nothing to do with my dislike for Kairi. I mean, Square Enix is just giving away keyblades by the handfuls now!

shes clingy, obessesed, weak, needing to be saved a lot, annoying voice, and whenever she talks it's some mushy crap.

I don't hate her. but in the game she didnt do any help really. and her voice was annoying. so i kinda agree with you guys.

If theres a KH3, i hope to see a change.

ah man, now this is a topic on this site....
Kairi is a great character. She is not supposed to fight. She is the girl of the story who needs to be saved. She's the damsel in distress of Kingdom Hearts.

 

Which is perfectly fine, didn't mind that part at all, since it does help shape the KH story. I personally liked her in KH1, it was not up until KH2 that she became well unlikeable.

1) She Gets Kidnapped again, -__-. How do you get kidnapped, twice in a years time. Sora saved her so she can be safe and stay her self on DI, That was the whole point of the end of KH1, when he says "I'll Come Back To You, I Promise" *theme music plays*.. So why did she go looking for him.

2) She is perfectly useless in kh2, atleast she had a point in Kh1, She doesn't have one in the second came, i mean if your gunna get kidnapped, atleast kid kidnapped for a valid reason, not to just be in the way. Oh sure she took outt like 4 heartless with Riku's Keyblade*claps*, but she had Zero significance in how the game turned out.

3) now this is what really kills me. for the WHOLE KH2 GAME, she is worried about one person, Sora, i mean who the hell is Riku, the guy who is doing the most work for both Sora and Her, but eff him .
Examples: Beginig of the game while you are still Roxas, her and Selphie(sp) are seen in their school uniforms. and their convo go's:
Selphie: Hey, do you feel like going out to the island? Tidus and Wakka are all
wrapped up in their ballgame and they won't go with me.

Kairi: Not today, sorry.

Selphie: Aw, why not?

Kairi: Do you remember those boys who used to hang out with us?

Selphie: Riku?

Kairi: Yeah.

Selphie: I wonder whatever happened to him. I sure miss him.

Kairi: He's far away. But I know we'll see him again.

Selphie: Sure. Of course we will.

Kairi: And the other boy?

Selphie: What other boy?

If you replay this scene, kairi was more into sora, she was trying to remember him, and it was like Riku was just no one

Example 2:
Saïx: Naminé... There you are.

Kairi: Naminé...?

Saïx: Kairi. I'm afraid leaving is not an option.

(He holds out his left hand)

Saïx: I'll take you to see Sora.

(Kairi gets defensive. Saïx retreats his hand)

Saïx: You don't want that?

Kairi: I do. More than anything. But not with you around.

again what about riku?

she just seems to only care about sora , but she forgets she has two friends.

 

well Riku was a stuck up jerk most of the time so she didn't care.

 

-_- Kairi never did forget about Riku. She just have more feelings for Sora just like the way Sora has feelings for Kairi. IT's like a love that binds them together. I don't find her voice annoying & Axel has his reasons to kidnap Kairi, but she was taken by Saix under Axel's hands. Also, I don't find her clingy, & what makes her obsessed? She got saved from Maleficent in KH & was saved from Xemnas & Saix. That's 2 times that she got saved, so that's not a lot. The only thing I want to see more in Kairi is that we is able to play as Kairi & taht she has more confident to fight than she did in KH1 & 2. I just hope that the voice stays the same though.

KH_Fangirl, if you is going to hate her flower keyblade, you might as well hate the keyblade that Belle be giving Sora, Divine Rose( Or Rumbling Rose for KH2), because it's all flowrs on it & it won't strike fears in enemies, but you don't even know if the True Heart keyblade that Kairi used has a great ability or not, so don't judge that keyblade so quickly...

Edit: If Star sees this, I don't know what she'll say...

kairis acting in kh2 kh1 were good her parts fit her well
and her keyblade *flow keyblade* was awesome too lol

 

I never liked her, I never hated her. She was just another NPC that could not help you but you had to help. Although she does give you the Oathkeeper which is the only bonus from her.

On a scale of one (being dislike) to ten (like) though, I'd give her a 3 or 4 =\
Instead of getting in the way for Sora crew and Riku in KH2, she could have stayed at Destiny Islands attending school and leading a safe life. But it did seem kind of inevitable since Axel showed up with a few nobody goons =\

I also am not a fan of the Keyblade Riku let her borrow. It looks kind of... I don't want to talk about it, I just looked at it =\
Also I think the Rumbling Rose and Divine Rose look kind of "mean" even with the flower theme.
Rumbling Rose has spikes on the guard and beastly claws as teeth. Divine Rose is like a Hero sword with a shiny guard =p
The one Kairi used looks kind of... yeah, that... =\ (best if I don't say anything about it but I'll just say "over flowered". I could go on with a huge list)

 

I never knew that people weren't that fond of Kairi =O... I actually really liked her ^^... I wish you could have gotten to see her more in the story though, since you only get to see her for a brief period of time in each game =\... The start of Kingdom Hearts II when she write a message in a bottle was nice, and I thought it was so awesome when Riku gave her a keyblade and actually starting fighting a log side... I'm hoping in Kingdom Hearts III we see more of her

 

Um when? He was a jerk to Sora in Kh1, but only because he thought Sora didn't care, and he was trying hard to help his friend Kairi. Melificent(sp) got in his mind a twisted it against Sora, but never was he a jerk to Kair, Because Trying to save her, and helping out Sora the whole time in kh2, yes seems like a jerk to me..>.> or not.

She acts like she doesn't care.

Oh riku you do look like Ansem, but forget that where is sora?

Atleast she had a point in kh1, wtf is she doing in kh2 that is so important to the story?
