    I haven't even read all of this thread, but I read this post and knew that I had to respond.

    To be honest, I'm too young to have "Jumped onto the bandwagon" when he started out, but I did know who he was before he died. and even though I'm not a massive fan of his music, I find it sad that people will only like him AFTER he dies,and what's more even my school (we're 11 for godsake) has numerous MJ jokes flying around the place, to be quite frank I'm disgusted too.

    i know, they have made something called the Mj ,where all you do is spin around and stop on you toes, or they make gay jokes about him, I had to hit my brother once ofr doing so.

    I listened to a couple of his songs when I was real young & I knew his name at 6. Learned about a little about himself around 8 or 9 years old, & when I moved to Gary, Indiana, my mother & a person who works with her showed me where he used to live when he was a kid. Then a saw a movie while living in Gary, Indiana based on his life at the age of 10 or 12 I think, so I'm not one of those teenagers. Also, we shouldn't be worried about this anyways because everyone of us will die & that's a fact. Even Michael Jackson have a time & place to die.

    I hate how you take comfort in the fact everything happens for a reason, yeah sure it does but why is that something to take comfort in, that might not be a good reason.

    nothing happens for a reason, MJ could have lived longer if someone would have been a real friend! he would still be black, he wouldn't have burnt his head,(i saw that video a long time ago, nothing new to me) and he wouldn't have been popping pills.
