Powers?

Novek had grabbed Nicole and slung her over his back. He had his sword in one hand and was holding Nicole up with the other. "Gotta keep moving. Can't let them get her. She's important to saving the world. Gotta keep moving." He didn't know where he was running, just that he had to keep running. Suddenly he tripped and fell flat on his face. Nicole simply rolled off his back. He turned to see that one of the mole creatures had grabbed his leg. Novek slashed at it but instead of hurting it his blade broke clean off, leaving him with little more then the handle. "No, no, no, No, NO!" Novek kept on hitting the creature as it slowly began to drag him down. I... I need my sword. I can't fight without it. I need my sword! Suddenly the mole creature went back screaming in pain. Novek looked to see that a strange metal blade had come out of his hand, but it didn't cut the skin. It looked like his skin had strecthed out and had become the blade. As he stared, it slowly retracted back into his hand without a trace. "I... I have powers. I have powers!"

 

"God, I can't get one day of rest, eh?" Sophy complain. "But I guess, I did ask for it, being a secret government agent and all."

Smiling as the Efile Tower can into view, she can't wait to do a little shopping after her mission.

"We are going to stop right here." Sophy pointed at the tip of the tower. Nodding, the pilot pull into the spot.

"Thanks, Bill. Tell your wife I said Hi!" And with that Sophy jump from the helicopter. Using her hooks, she grab onto the structure of the tower and scale down.

"Here I come kiddies." Sophy smiled.

 

Novek looked around wondering where he was. Then he heard someone speak and he turned to see Sleif standing over Nicole. "You?! Get away from her!" Novek ran up and threw out a punch, as his fist flew forward a blade came out from his knuckles.

 

Ok, that didn't work. I've gotta be able to do something else! I mean everyone else has tons of abilities. I should be able to do something else too! That's when he noticed the knife pressed against Nicoles neck. Nicole! I promised to protect my friends. Lousy job I'm doing. Novek fell to his knees looking down. "Let her go. I'll do what you want."

 

"But..." Novek thought about his friends. He would be betraying them, but if he didn't then Nicole would die. Why do I always seem to get the short end of the stick? This isn't fair! I just get my powers and before I can even use them to help I have to obey the evil master. This just isn't fair. Novek looked up, "Nevermind. What do I have to do?" He said, regret and hate clear in his voice.

 

"Are you sure you can disable the enchantments." Tom asked. "Let alone find it. It's in some abandoned house. And it'd be easier to find the house if we stick together. I'm sure I can learn French quickly enough to ask for directions."

"In that case, let's go." Tom said. "And don't say no. I'm coming with you. I can be some help. And I'm not gonna let another friend die because of my inaction."

 

"Do you have a location? Or do I need to think of where they are?" Tom asked. He was hoping that Leah knew where to go. He figured it'd be easier to focus on a location and not a person. Of course, he'd only teleported three times. Once to London. Once to the Throne Room. And once to the Magic Realm.

 

"Well London it is then." Tom said. He grabbed Leah's hand and focused on London. He thought back to the other times he teleported. When he opened up his eyes, they were standing inside Big Ben. "Here we are. And a good place to not be caught upon teleporting."

 

Novek did as he was told. He began to feel strange, a weird feeling all over his body. Suddenly there was a sharp pain in his mind. Novek lost his focus and the pain and feeling went away. Novek was breathing heavily. "What the hell was that?"

 

"We'll find a way through." Tom said, trying to reassure her. He was looking into her eyes. "This probably isn't the best time to say this, but I gotta admit. Your eyes... They're something else. They're..." Tom didn't know if he should finish the sentence.
