Plot

Pre-Chapter:
In the Dark Relm, one man walked along the beach in the Shadow Destiny Island. His anger ate away at his heart strongly. The light had taken everything from him. He looked at Saki "You say if I come back to the world of light with you and help you get your revenge then I keep my life after?"
Saki only smiled a little but he said nothing. He would leave this man to answer that question on his own. The dark man grinned "Sounds like fun. What is our first order of buisness?"
Saki pulled out a picture from his pocket and threw it at the mysterious man. "They are." he said.
The shadow man studied the picture closely, it showed the picture of two children but he could tell this picture was taken a long time ago because of the aged look of the paper. The little girl and boy were both brunette and both of them smiling, standing in a world that looked destroyed. It was the picture of Voltiar and Raven. The man from the shadows nodded and handed the picture back to Saki "When do we get started?"
*Scene blacks out*

Destiny Island- It's been little over one year since the Light won the final battle. Siah and Calder are Sinior's in Destiny High School and their graduation is only weeks away. Harone and Nicole have finally finished building their own hosue in Destiny Island not very far from Calder's house. They've been raising Pamela and Connor like their own children and Nicole is pregnant. Voltiar has been living with Siah, Sora, Kairi, and Kiba ever since then staying in the guest room but of course dissapearing for weeks at a time every once in a while searching for a way to free his heart from the darkness that still rests there as well as going back to the City of Dawn, watching over the mysterious girl that he ran into one year ago and protecting her though he isn't sure if she's raven or not.

The City of Dawn- No one on the City of Dawn seems to remember a world taken over by shadows. None of them even seem to remember Voltair. It's almost as if life there continues as if nothing ever happened to it. As if the people there had always exsisted.

Everywhere else- All of the worlds have been restored to their original order. The heros of light have become something like celebrities in other worlds for what they've done.

Shadows from the past- One thing the heros of light never did learn to understand is that no matter how long the day will last, the sun is always going to set and bring shadows back. No matter how much light you stand in, you are always going to see a shadow on the other side of you from the direction that the light is shining. Its because of that that Saki survived. He lived through the light that Raven spread through the worlds somehow and now he wants revenge.
Saki knew he couldn't do it alone though so he traveled to the dark relm, which was forced almost into non existence. He used the shadow there to recrute an army of beings from the darkness that also want revenge against the light beings.
The problem is, Siah and co wont even see it comming because they think all of the worlds are forever cured from shadow.

Siah walked out the front doors of Destiny High School and leaned agaisnt the wall outiside waiting for Calder to catch up. It was really hot today, she looked up at the sun with a testy expression and took off her jacket. School would be over in just a few more days, Siah couldn't wait. It was hard to believe that just one year ago she was taking refuge on the only light world left, fearing for her life every day, and now today she was going back to school and living a normal life.

Arlene sat on the edge of the roof of the castel at The World That Never Was. This world, seeing as it technically never existed, was the only world taht was not effected by the light so it was now the world where Saki and the rest of the dark refugees lived waiting for their right moment to strike. Arlene looked up at the sky and sighed, remembering everythign that got her here today "Great... I go through hell and back just to be part of annother crazy organization." she said to herself. ​

 

Siah smiled, "I know. We've only got two more days." she said, she has been counting it down on the white board magnet in her locker door. "I gotta pick up Kiba from the elementary." she said as she shrugged off the wall. "He gets out in thirty minutes." she knew he already knew that. He usually always came with her to go meet Kiba and walk home with them.

In the City of Dawn, the sun was setting and casting a golden glow across the lake surface. Three girls sat on the shore of the lake, letting their feet dangle into the water. Two of them were laughing and one of them had an exasparated smile on her face.
The brunette with blue eyes, *the one that wasnt laughing*, stood up "I'm gonna get home you two. I'm kind of tired." she said.
The blonde one smiled "Ok, you want us to walk with you?" she asked. "It's a long walk home alone... especially at night, Rai."
The brunette smiled "I really dont think anything is going to happen. This place is pretty pieceful but it was a nice thought Amelia." she said with a laugh.
The third girl in the group also stood up, she had green eyes and her hair was pulled off to the side with a pink bow "You sure it's because it's pieceful here that you feel safe or something else?" she said with a mock smile.
The brunette just laughed "You and your imagination, Tamra." she said, rolling her eyes. She turned and started walking away.
Amelia and Tamra were giggeling but they stayed where they were "Hey if you see your mystery guardian angel tell him we say hi!" Tamra called after her. she wasn't being mean, this was just a joke the three friends had shared for a long time.
The brunette girl laughed and rolled her eyes "Goodbye guys." she called over her sholder kind of sarcasticly before she turned a corner and started on the street that led to her house.

 

Rai hadn't been totally honest with her friends before. She really wasn't that tired, but as Amelia had said it was a long back to her house and it was a perfect time for her to be alone to think. By the time she was halfway home the sun was completely down. Rai had been walking for nearly an hour. It wasn't that much farther to her house. Rai could have sworn she heard footsteps behind her. She ignored it at first but it continued. Rai frowned and turned around, scanning the shadows for anyone that might be there but she saw no one. "Tamra if that’s you then you are SO in trouble!" she called with a light hearted smile. No one answered. She glared... Ok, you're being paranoid. she thought to herself, thinking maybe she was more tired than she thought she was. She turned around and started walking again. About five minutes later, she heard someone there again. She looked over her shoulder but again saw no one. Just then, someone grabbed her wrist from behind.
"Hello Sweetheart..." a voice rasped in her ear. Rai screamed and turned around to see the face of her attacker and was annoyed and surprised to see she recognized him.
"Gosh Damn it Jared did you have to give me a heart attack!" she said, hitting him and pulling her wrist back.
Jared just laughed "You should have seen your face. That was priceless." he said.
Rai glared "Shouldn't you be home with Tamra?" she said irritably, turning away from him and walking again. Jared followed her "Yeah I walked her home and everything but she was all worried about you so I told her I would come find you and make sure you're ok."
Rai rolled her eyes "Oh really she was worried about me huh." she said unenthusiastically.
Jared nodded "Said you were acting weird when she last saw you and all that."
Rai laughed a little "Well she thinks I'm crazy anyway so when is my acting unusual a new thing to her."

Siah smiled "I know I was just thinking the same thing. Only a year ago I wasn't sure we were going to live that long to be honest."

Arlene was interrupted from her thoughts when a flash of light appeared next to her. She had forgotten she was by the door to light. She glared and looked in the direction of the door to see a man walk through she heard him talk to himself and figured she had a pretty good idea what he was talking about especially after she saw the photo he was holding. She had seen the same one when she was recruited "Actually if you're talking about who I think you are, they aint kids anymore." she said, standing up and brushing the dust off of her clothes. "Anyway Saki sent me here I'm guessing it was to say hi to the newbie." she rolled her eyes "Just try to not get in the way."

 

From the corner of his eye, Jared thought he saw someone on the roof of a nearby building but that person had jumped from the roof. No one could have survived a fall like that and Rai didn't seem to notice at all... maybe he was just halucinating. He grinned at Rai as they reached her house "Well looks like we're here. You think you can make it up your front steps safely?" he said.

Rai glared at him "Ha ha ha." she said sarcasticly before she opened the fence and walked up the porch. At the door she turned around "Oh... and you're not crazy. I've seen him around every once in a while too." she winked and then walked inside.

Jared was stunned, how come Rai was so calm about some person who was jumping off of buildings and so close to her home. He shrugged Maybe she's right... maybe she is crazy. he thought to himself sarcasticly before he turned and started back down the street toward his home.

Once inside, Rai took her jacket off and tossed it onto the couch before she walked into the bathroom mirror. She pulled the elastic band that was holding her hair up and brushed out the kinks as she walked back to the front door and locked it. She looked out the window next to the door but she wasn't watching the door. She was looking at the street under the building where she saw someone jump off. Had she really seen that? She shook her head "Yup, I am deffinately paranoyed." she said sarcasticly before she walked back into the bathroom and put her brush down on the counter.
Later, she collapsed on the couch, thinking she wouldn't be able to sleep even if she did go to bed. She was wrong though. She was asleep after five minutes of reading on the couch, her book lay open face down across her stomach.

Arlene shrugged "Never can be too careful you know Tom." she pointed out. "Cant trust anyone."

 

Rai turned in her sleep. Her book fell off of the couch and onto the floor with a sound that broke the silence, sounding very loud. Rai hadn't heard it though, she was somewhere completely different in her mind...

... she saw the City of Dawn being destroyed... she remembered being scared... seeing a sword in her hand... being lost... then there was the little girl and boy. She felt so protective of them... seeing tears run down the little girls face but she was older now and she was pointing an odd looking weapon at her... Who is she?... She isn't me... SHE ISN"T ME!... so much pain started in her heart and worked through her whole body...

With a gasp, Rai sat up on the couch. Breathing hard. How long had she been asleep? She felt a draft and turned around to see the front door was open *voltiar is in the shadows and Rai isn't as observant as Raven*. She stood up, climbing over the back of the couch and walking over to the door. She looked out, across the street and down both ways but she saw no one there. She took a step back inside and closed the door cautiously looking around the house over her sholder.

 

Rai saw no one in the house but she wasn't sure she wanted to mess with the idea that there might be an intruder there. She flipped on the light switch but by this time, Voltair had enough time to find a better place to be unseen rather than just using shadows. Rai sighed, "How come the weird things always happen to me?" she said sarcasticly out loud as she picked up her book from the floor. She shook her head, pushing her hair back behind her ears as she locked the door again.

 

Rai sighed, the dream she had earlier was dimming quickly but a lot of it still remained in her memory. She stood there leaning against the door, trying to clear her thoughts. Who was that little girl? Why did she feel so protective of her? But strangely a new face came up in her most recent dream but it was an old face as well. The face of the boy she ran into on the street a year ago that seemed so familiar. Who was he? She shook her head, she had only started having these strange experiences a year ago. Why not before?
Straightening up Rai looked out the window at the night sky.. she must have been asleep for a couple of hours by now. Maybe Tamra or Amelia had forgotten something when they came over earlier and forgot to shut the door when they left? You've got to stop being so freeking paranoid she actually laughed at herself a little "Maybe I am crazy." she said softly. She was about to turn the light back off but something caught her eye and she turned her head to see a small item lying on the ground next to where Voltair had been standing earlier. Cautiously, Rai walked over to it and knelt down to pick it up. In her hand lay what looked like a keychain of some sort. Seeing the object laying in her hand brought up a memory that Rai knew wasn't her own...

... walking in a tower of some sort... she was really curious and there was an excitement in her heart she hadn't felt for two years... she wondered if it had really been him that would be there... she pulled out her sword when she saw a boy standing by the window... What, thats crazy I've never handled a sword before... On the handle of her sword dangled this same keychain... it was her father's before he died and their world was destroyed... the boy turned and she could see his face just before he dissapeared only to appear again behind her and wrap his arms around her... it was his face that stood out to her the most.

Rai snapped back from the memory and dropped the keychain on the ground as if it were a poisenous snake. She stood up, looking around. She had never seen him before in her life? Then why did she keep thinking about him? She had never handled a sword? Then why did she keep having memories of fighting heartless and protecting her loved ones? Rai ran her hand across her hair, pushing it away from her face maybe I'm still dreaming the most bizarre dream ever. She thought to herself. She walked back into the bathroom and splashed some water on her face from the faucet, trying to clear her head. She stared at her reflection in the mirror, water droplets ran down her face and she remembered tears... her last tears. No! This is crazy I never died! That was just a weird dream. she thought to herself again.

 

*Jeez you're going to scare her to death before you figure out if it's really her or not *

Rai didn't bother to dry off her face and hair before she walked back into the front room and saw the keychain hanging from the keyhook by the door. She looked around, now suspicious that someone was deffinately in the house. She walked quickly over to the keyhook and grabbed the keychain from the wall. "This is rediculous Raven." she whispered to herself. She froze Did I really just say that? she thought to herself. She shook her head, having had enough. "Alright mystery person I think you've had your fun. You mind comming out of hiding or do you plan on just messing with me until I am completely insane?"

 

Rai was astonished. She considered insisting he came out and she also considered opening the door and running like hell... but something about this seemed familiar to her and she was curious. She half smiled, it was her turn to mess with him "Voltair?" she paused, not saying anything for a long time "If I recognised the name would it make much difference? Would it really prove anything about this Raven person?"
